Salad chains are popping up everywhere. I get it, we all want to be fit and fine. Sweetgreen is a great option for those who are looking for a healthy bite. The menu is pretty straightforward. You can customize your own meal or choose from signature ones with pre-selected ingredients. You choose between a salad, bowl, or protein plate. From there, you select your greens, grains, protein choice(s), toppings, and sauces. The ingredients are fresh and there is a large variety to choose from. Compared to its competitor, Cava, Sweetgreen has more innovative and unique menu options. It's also more expensive, so you're going to spend a few more dollars. I've been here a couple of times because it's the closest one to me... but it's not the greatest. It's located inside the Riverside Square Mall, so it has a lot of foot traffic. The interior is usually clean and they have plenty of seating available. The problem is the service. It can be verrry slow and disorganized. They haven't figured out a way to handle a large volume of in-person and mobile pick-up orders. They also don't have a good system of making customers' orders. Only one employee takes care of one customer at a time, which delays the entire line. The same employee who takes your order will walk through the whole bowl completion and payment. It would be faster and efficient if you had employees at each "station", similar to Chipotle or Cava. As for the food itself, it's healthy, fresh, and flavorful with good portions. The price point is a bit expensive compared to other salads/build-your-own-bowl chains in the area. My go-to order is the Harvest Roasted Chicken Bowl, which is delicious and filling. On my most recent visit, I decided to try out a bowl from their menu collab with COTE Korean Steakhouse. I ordered the KBBQ Steak Bowl ($17.75) which came with steak, romaine, white rice, cucumber kimchi, pickled cabbage, spicy broccoli, apple kimchi sauce, and BBQ glaze. Honestly? I was disappointed. The spice factor was there, but the sauces were overpowering. The steak was tender, but didn't have that smoky and sweet flavor you expect from KBBQ. They didn't use actual kimchi, only the paste... which had such a weak taste! I wouldn't order this again. I'll stick to my Harvest Bowl. I wouldn't cross this place off my list completely... but I'm not in a rush to return again. There's better fast-casual, healthy options around.

I order online and by the time I park and go into the store my order is usually ready. I typically get the Green Goddess salad. You can only order it online. Once I tried to order it by building a salad and it was about $4 more than the online price. The store is always clean and the food is fresh. Also the food has gone up about $2+ in the last 6 months. Service is mid at best. I've gone a few times where there is a wait for proteins (steak/salmon) has to be cooked. Although this isn't my favorite location, it's close and I like SG.

A few weeks ago, a friend and I ordered lunch during the work week from sweetgreen via DoorDash. I got the miso glazed salmon, which was served over rice. It was delivered on time and the food was good - fresh, healthy, and delicious. I'm a sweetgreen fan :)

This was my first visit to Sweetgreen. I absolutely loved my miso salmon protein plate. This came with salmon, rice, avocado, cucumber, and pickled onions. Perfect portion size for lunch. Tasted very fresh! I also ordered the harvest chicken bowl, which had goat cheese, sweet potato, and kale. I loved the clean and open space as well as clean ingredients. I will definitely have more lunches at this location!

    Old bread hard as rock

I order time to time boots near my kids school. I bought the harvest bowl which is supposed to. E most popular and it's decent. I ordered a focaccia bread with hummus but the bread was hard as rock. I wasted $4 and change for this. Guy went to the back and brought out an old bread ! Rather should have told me they ate out of bread. Very dus

Service is good and the place is kept clean, which I liked: Everything about my SG salad bowl was pretty tasty. The only thing I didn't like was finding a small piece of hair that wasn't my color or length in the bottom of the bowl. Hopefully, this was just a rare incident.

Tried the new air fried Ripple Fries with garlic aioli dipping sauce. I was worried it wouldn't be a good bang for your buck but you actually get a decent amount of "fries"! Thought they would be made to order but they just scooped them out of a ready-to-go batch. Thankfully mine were still pretty warm & mostly crispy. Not thin potato slices at all and the sauce was a real nice finishing touch.

Very good. I enjoy this place! The food is very fresh. Large portions. I usually have left overs but not today. I ate it all. The service wasn't as great today but it was ok. Overall, I was happy to stop in for lunch!

Second time I have been to this location. The service is shaky at best. The same person that starts your bowl at the beginning of the line walks through your whole bowl completion. There is always a bottle neck at the final dressing stop and leaves a long starting line. Not sure it's the best process overall. Aside from the service the food is consistent, but it's a pricey salad. So enjoy every bite! All salads are served in eco friendly containers so you can always take it to go if you can't finish it all! Overall would recommend, but they should work on the service to up the star rating!

    Shroomami

During my visit to sweetgreen, I experience good customer service; employees are helpful (answering my questions) and kind. I order the Shroomami which is a filling drier salad though the Sesame Ginger Dressing adds a subtle exterior flavor, to me. The beats are super juicy; at an initial touch on my tongue, the beets are present, moist in the sense like drying earth after a rain hours ago, then like a flowing river of clean-earthy-full-beet flavor with each chew. Of the entire meal, the beats are most memorable though I admit to finding the bread quite tasty with the sauce as well. The establishment accepts different forms of payment. Lively vibes!

The Hummus Crunch Salad is my new obsession. It's a lot of food and comparatively low in calories which is a win/win.

I will ALWAYS only start with their Iced Shakerato (organic espresso and brown sugar). I cannot recommend this drink, enough. Yes, even in the winter! We started with the Edamame Dumplings (white truffle oil, dashi, Thai basil, sesame seeds), Charred Cauliflower (medjool dates, harissa tahini, dill, mint, pistachio), the Seasonal Roasted Butternut Squash Soup (garnished with sage). All these starters were consumed within seconds, were at optimal temperatures, and the sauce that covered each cauliflower was exquisite. The entrees were: Ancient Grains Bowl (organic grains, miso sesame glazed sweet potato, charred onions, snap peas, portobello, avocado, pistachio pesto, hemp seeds, turmeric) and the Chicken Tender Plate (four tenders served with simple salad). The Grains Bowl was packed with healthy and tasty ingredients and the Chicken Tenders were only lightly battered, soft to chew, and came with four large pieces. I will, most definitely, be a happy return customer to True Food Kitchen and it's HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Ohhhhh.... ONE MORE THING AND PLEASE, KEEP IN MIND.....one of the reasons I visited was for the Chia Seed Pancakes, but their brunch menu is ONLY served "during weekends," from open until 3:00 PM.

The service was ok this time around. I originally ordered the rancher's hash which over easy eggs instead of sunny side since I'm expecting and want to make sure to eat foods that are well cooked instead of under, but it came with sunny side anyway. The avocado looked like it was going bad and still had the skin on it...I've never seen an avocado served like that in a restaurant before...almost bad and with the skin still on it. I also wasn't aware it would have steak slices as it doesn't specify that in the description of the rancher's hash so I assumed it'd be crumbled ground beef...either way, the bowl itself didn't look as appetizing as it sounded in the description. I opted to switch to the grass fed burger I had my first visit here and it was ok, first time was definitely better than this time around and the air fried fries were ok, most of them underneath the initial picture look and tasted overcooked which was another disappointment. I enjoyed with my lavender matcha, Margherita sourdough pizza (YUM!) and the brussel sprouts for our starters. This visit was certainly disappointing on Mother's Day. I really want to recommend and keep coming back for the fact that it's health consciousness menu but don't want to pay for 'just ok' food either...nor recommend a place that's just ok.

The baba ghanoush was everything I love in a good eggplant dip and was a definite win in our book - seasoned, textured, and slightly smokey. We intuited this would be delicious by getting two containers of it, and this turned out to be a great life choice. Chicken adana is a fan favorite in our house, and it's done pretty well here. They're like elongated loaves of marinated and spiced ground chicken, and delicious with rice and a dollop of yogurt sauce. We preferred these over the chicken kebab, which were just as flavorful but quite a bit drier. Both entrees were served with a grilled tomato and pepper, which were still warm and charred from the grill. They also came with small side salads, with lightly dressed and slightly wilted greens. My husband appreciated the extra veggies with our meal, but I far preferred the warm and soft pita rounds.

The serving size of my husband's pad thai, for instance, was pretty generous, and topped with a good amount of peanuts (a personal pleasure since I'm such a texture-chaser when it comes to food). I ordered the massaman curry with beef and was pleasantly surprised that the chunks of beef were fairly tender. The curry itself was either watery or bland or both, and the amount of unseasoned potato chunks didn't help to that end. The chicken curry puffs came highly recommended, and with a flavorful filling and a tender, flaky crust on the outside, these were just as tasty as promised. They come four per order, which, considering how filling just one was, turned out to be a well portioned serving. I had two small disappointments with these - I had to search a little to find the chicken, and the crusts were much mushier than I would've expected. My guess is these went straight into their container after cooking and whatever crisp was on these disappeared during delivery. I bet these would be wonderful straight out of the kitchen. My guess is that some or all of the pinch points of our meal resulted from degradation during delivery. Would love to give them another try on site!
