This place has so many delicious baked goods! My favorite is the walnut cookies stuffed with caramel. You must come and visit. They have a European grocery store next door that you can get some goodies over there as well.

Gorgeous bakery here. Lots of cakes and pastry options. They even have crepes and savory items too. Connected to this cafe/bakery is a grocery store as well. I got the beef pelmeni which was flavorful and delicious. It was topped with some butter, fresh dill and a side of sour cream. I also got the honey cake, which was good. Not too sweet. Food came out quickly, staff were friendly. There's decent parking here, and definitely a place to get dessert! So many options!

Friendly staff, great desserts. Didn't try the espresso bar but they looked great the gal making the drinks was working hard to get orders out and the drinks looked good regretting not getting one!

I usually stop when I see a European bakery as it's almost always a positive experience. No different here. The staff is very friendly. The Vinaigrette Salad was good, the Pelmeni with beef was excellent. However, it took quite sometime for the latter. The Olivier was a new experience: creative, delicious, and aesthetically presented. The Napoleon cake tastes as good as it looks. And the Almond Honey Cake and Baklava were both very good. Whatever this culture is they're not big on condiments. Prices are more than fair. The environment is very pleasant.

This review is based on takeout only. Stopped in for a couple of treats after having lunch nearby. This bakery is located in a strip mall, so there is plenty of parking available. Love the modern and cozy atmosphere inside. Staff is friendly and helpful. Only wish they had more signs on their desserts explaining what they were. There are so many delicious looking desserts, but it is too difficult to pick for anyone with specific food allergies. We look forward to coming back and trying their food offerings. Would recommend.

always thoroughly enjoy coming into this bakery/coffee shop, I have never had one bad dessert from this shop. They also make pastries filled with different meats which I have not yet tried but looking at the pastries under glass they look amazing! I do have a con about this place. I have been living in the area eight years now and have been coming into the shop for about that long now. The one thing that I don't like it most of the time I come in here the ladies behind the counter never smile or don't make me feel welcomed to come into the shop. Last night (Friday September 14) was the worst feeling I have ever had in there. There were three ladies there and one young man, at one point I looked up toward the glass case where then espresso machine as at and two of the ladies were just staring at me and the faces were NOT welcoming at all! The young man was very nice and helpful and thanked us for coming in. These ladies need to understand that they are being watched and it doesn't take much just to put on a smile and make someone feel welcomed. I brought in a friend of mine who has never been in here and he felt the same way that I did, driving home he said that he didn't feel welcomed in there by the ladies.

Their baked goods are amazing. Great selection of sweet and savory pastries. I bought a cake last December and it was incredible. The sweetness was pleasant. Just perfect. It was a little spendy. You pay by weight but it's worth it. I love the relaxed ambience of this place. Staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back.

I love the coffee!!! I babysit and when I'm out with the kids I usually stop by this cafe for some coffee and the barista makes the kids hot chocolate. They also make sweet crepes, and even if your not into all that good stuff they have tons of pastries and baked goods! Defiantly a place I'm going to be visiting throughout the week. read more

With all the reviews I truly had high expectations for this place really thought it was gonna be great but the employee that was there was rude and made it very unpleasant. When I asked her what flavor the cake was she had the biggest attitude, the desserts were dry and crusty for that quality it's overpriced so that was disappointing however the savory items are quite good. read more

The absolute best European bakery in the PDX/vancouver area became even better when they opened a cozy cafe next door! I've indulged my sweet tooth with the svitoch bakery for many many years but with the addition of a coffee shop/crepe shop my life is now complete . Great coffee and the banana, strawberry, Nutella crepe was delicious! Home made delicatessen with good coffee and a cool hip vibe in this cafe. I've been looking for macaroons for a while now and I finally found a place where they sold them they were pretty good but a little pricey. I got 4 and I paid 10$ for them while is a lot of many in my opinion for 4 macaroons. But overall the macaroons were pretty good I'd go back for more, I just wish they weren't as expensive as they were. read more

I love Sweet Touch so much. The variety of pastries reminds me of a European cafe, and there's plenty of room to sit and enjoy! It's a great spot for a casual date, or to meet up with friends... or to just treat yourself to a pastry! Plenty of parking as well. read more

Not sure why all these reviews talk about how top drawer this place is. I'm well acquainted with pastry shops. The place was huge with lovely cases. I could identify none of the offerings by name. I asked for napoleons, didn't know what that was. I asked for opera cake, didn't know what that was. It was obviously the girl's first day behind the counter. I needed 4 identical things for a dinner party that evening. They had two or three of most things but not four. I picked something called "chocolate slice". Well, it was chocolate but not much flavor. I'm guess the items are more Slavic in nature (not the French or Viennese items I was hoping for). Finally, the girl behind the counter needed help to run the cash register. I was there about 11am on a weekday. A young man came to her aid (who really couldn't make change). They were nice people, but not helpful. I wont be back. If you're looking for pastry from eastern Europe, I'm guessing this might be a good place. If you're looking more for the classic French or Viennese, go to Barons. They have what you're looking for. They're much smaller in size with a lot more limited offerings, but its stuff you'll recognize by name. read more

I love this place, probably a little too much. The coffee is great, the staff is super friendly, the atmosphere is perfect for a cafe, and the baked goods are gorgeous and delicious. I have yet to try one of their crepes; that's next on my list. But just on the merit of the coffee and the baked goods alone I'd say this is definitely worth a stop. read more

This newly opened coffee shop inside the bakery has high quality beans that turn into amazing coffee! The coffee is as good as it gets. I can easily say the coffee is better than a lot of the highly rated places in Portland. The baristas here work quickly but make quality latte's :) I also ordered a macaroon from the bakery and they truly melt in your mouth!! they're super yummy. There's tons of other desserts and plenty of options on the coffee menu. This family owned bakery and coffee shop is one of my favorites. I would say 10/10 come visit this place!! read more

So cute and a TON of goodies to choose from - both sweet & savory! I had a beautiful latte and a raspberry mousse cake while I worked on my lap top... had to bring home a little corner of my cake along with some caramel canolis and a peach cookie-I am ssso going back for more peach cookies and to try the tiramisu... might even bring the hubby so we can dive into the savory options! i didn't expect pirozhki here! a pleasant surprise! this is the only place in the city i can find so far selling meat pirozhki... they're re-heated, fried pirozhki, but still good and very long (but thin). the chai latte was a little bland for my tastes but that tends to be a trend with chai i get at cafes so maybe i'm just picky. i like my tea strong (but still at least 50/50 milk!) but this one just tasted sort of like sweet cream. still a lovely place, friendly people and the treats looked lovely as well, i'll definitely return when i have more of a sweet tooth. read more

Specialties

We specialize in coffee, crepes and in house made macaroons. We use Italian roasted coffee beans and baristas that are well trained who know their coffee. Also our macaroons come in over 10 different flavors from raspberry to espresso macaroons made from our coffee.

History

Established in 2016.

In 2002 our parents started an authentic European bakery known as Svitoch. Growing up in this environment, inspired us to get involved in the family business. With a passion for coffee we recently opened a cafe featuring Italian roasted Umbria coffee beans as well as offering a variety of french style crepes. Our vision is to see our coffee enjoyed while meeting new people with the goal of creating long lasting relationships. We genially want you to feel like family and make this cafe like a second home!

It's located in a strip mall near Harbor Freight and Ixfinity. There's plenty of parking available. I came in with a friend on a Wednesday around 9am. It was actually busier than I thought it would be mid-week. They have a variety of seating available, from couches, to high and normal height tables, to swings in the windows. Very cute! The lady at the counter was friendly, helpful and accommodating. We ordered some hot and cold coffee beverages and crepes for breakfast. The drinks came quickly and the food didn't take long either! After reading some of the other Yelp reviews, I was pleasantly surprised. The drinks and food were absolutely delicious, and beautifully presented. I will definitely be coming back here to try some of their other menu items. I highly recommend!

The owner is from Tanzania, and the mission of the business is to serve the local community with high-quality African coffee beans. Part of the profits go back to Africa to support coffee workers and help improve living conditions in their communities. Their signature drink is the Zanzibar spiced coffee, which I featured in my photo. It's infused with a blend of warm spices that makes it truly unique. The coffee I ordered was a lighter roast, with a pleasant hint of acidity as you sip it. They also have three different food options with African bread. The staff are incredibly friendly and happy to share the story behind the coffee shop, which makes the experience even more meaningful.

Honestly this is probably one of the worst coffee shops I went to in a very very long time. #1 the cake we got was a freezer cake and it had water coming out + soggy. We arrived at 1:40pm we placed an order which took a good 15 mins to place because the lady was ridiculously slow. We didn't get our food in over an hour. At that point we just wanted to leave. We placed an order and the barista was serving people coffee drinks who ordered way after us before serving us. We kept on saying we still didn't get this still didn't get that, when at the point we got sick and tired and just left. We paid 18% tip and a more then $100 order and it was the WORST customer service we have received by far yet. There Nutella crepes are not from Nutella, There customer service is horrible If you want a good coffee shop, 3 mins away is krays, even though they are 10% busier then this coffee shop they will bring out the food in 10 mins not 1 hr later with a empty coffee shop. First time customers and most definitely the last time as well. read more

Worst customer service experience I've had in United States! I went there last night at around 6:30 and the lady server of approximately 30 years old was very rude with me and refused to sell me the pieces of cake I wanted. She picked whichever she wanted and argued with me that she cannot sell me the ones I picked because they were too cold. Her voice and attitude were very mean and disrespectful! Management should do something about this employee, I will avoid this store from now on because of her. read more

The place to take out-of-town guests! The atmosphere is amazing, the food is better than you can ever make at home, and options for beautiful desserts are plentiful. Their price is a bit higher than average but nothing too outrageous. You will not be disappointed stopping in here. A wonderful hidden treasure. The sweets are to die for both visually and taste wise. The savory foods are equally as delicatable. And the staff are very personable. I would recommend this cafe/bakery to just about anyone and do regularly. I can't wait to try everything they've got and plan on coming here on a regular bases. read more
