The customer service was absolutely unacceptable. The staff was rude, dismissive, and acting like helping customers was an inconvenience. Finally! A decent shoe store in San Diego county! It's also a cute boutique too. They specialize in sandals, hard to find athletic brands and athleisure wear. Oh, did I mention the cute purses? When I walked in they were busy. It was the owner and an associate and they both went out of their way to greet me- I wasn't waiting too long for service. They were working with a family and multiple family members trying on shoes and they still managed to help me. Which I don't think was easy! Very nice selection of casual and dressy sandals and some hard to find an unusual gym shoes. I left with a great pair of sandals and a belt bag and would have left with more if it wasn't for my own restraint. What I love is that the selection is so nice that I look forward to coming back to check out what's new in stock. Unique selection and styles you won't find in the department stores- a true shoe boutique. They seem to be popular because two pairs of shoes I wanted to try on were out of my size. Darn. They checked in on me while I was trying to narrow down- perfect balance of checking in and letting me explore. They also have a nice Instagram page which I'm now following- hope to find out what's new in stock so I can run over! I loved the nice selection of Ilse Jacobsen shoes- which are a favorite of mine and a staple for the San Diego climate. It's the prefect shoe for San Diego. I also appreciated the conversation I had while checking out, made the experience so much nicer. ....Girls and their shoes....this is our haven! I've been in San Diego close to a decade (from Chicago) and have not found good shoe stores like I do in bigger cities. This place is it! I'll be back! Highly recommend. read more

Had a small issue with a pair of shoes I purchased from them and they did an exchange with smiles on their faces. Walked in today with the intent of purchasing some shoes. The sales associate was making small talk with a customer, so I browsed for awhile and then stood over near the shoe I'd like to try on. Not once was I greeted or asked if I wanted help. So, I left and bought shoes down the street with friendlier service. read more

Kari is excellent with customer service. She is low pressure and down to earth, but will go above and beyond to meet the needs of her customers. I love her selection of shoes and clothing. She turned me on to Beyond Yoga clothes last year and this year to a shoe brand called "On". Also found an adorable pair of Paul green wedges that are so soft I was able to wear them sailing last night! I will definitely be returning every summer during my annual summer trip to Coronado! Also, she was willing to price match with Nordstrom's and her prices are right on par with anywhere else which is something you don't see a lot with boutiques in a touristy location. read more

Coronado was sorely in need of a great shoe store. Sweet Soles has a wonderful variety of shoes from sandals and sneakers to the coolest nice formal heels that are unique. The owner, Kari, is fantastic! She gives you her honest opinion and doesn't push a sale on you. The prices are very fair and I so love supporting small business owners here on the island. I would be surprised if someone walked out of the store not finding the perfect shoe for any occasion. Can you tell I love this shop?!! read more

My husband and I stopped by the store today with the purpose of buying multiple pairs of On shoes. The store display was impressive with many styles from which to choose. There were a few customers in the store. The reason for my one star? Not once were we greeted, spoken to, acknowledged or eye contact made with us, but the clerk did have enough time to make small talk with another customer about where she liked to go on vacation. We stood there for 10+ minutes, obviously looking at the one brand of shoes ready to try on and hopefully purchase. As we stood there it became clear that she didn't want our business. I know times have been tough for small retail, and honestly this is my first negative review I've ever given, but this was truly inexcusable. We are local, we buy a lot of recreational shoes and the good news is we found another great local store to make our future purchases. read more
