Just about anything you can imagine: you can put it in bags and buy per the pound. They also have those tubes/straws you can fill with colored sugar and similar candies. Other options are popcorn with multiple flavors, like BBQ bacon and "Chicago style" (caramel corn and cheddar corn mixed together), and gelato, which was very good. As with all the Island, expect very elevated prices, but the staff were very friendly to me and my party. I enjoyed my visit.

There are books for all ages from newborn to seniors. There are more than books here! We enjoyed taking our time and looking at as much as we could in the hour we had available on this day. I love looking at cookbooks and there is an excellent variety to choose from. Books from local authors and books related to Tennessee and its history are displayed nicely. I knew I wasn't leaving without at least one book and I found two paperbacks for $5.99 each. Both books from best selling authors that I am excited to read. I highly recommend stopping in to pick out a book! Note: not a moon pie fan so I can't comment on that part of the store.

The big attractions may get most of the attention around Pigeon Forge and Sevierville, but I also love finding stops with their own personality and sense of place. The Apple Barn definitely has both. The star of the visit was our guide, who took us on a cider journey through the various flavors and offerings. She answered questions, explained the differences between the ciders, and made the tasting experience fun instead of feeling like a sales pitch. Excellent. There was a large variety of flavors available to sample, making it easy to compare styles and find a favorite. After sampling our way through the lineup, we wound up purchasing a glass of the original apple cider and enjoyed it outside. And honestly, that's where the experience really came together. Sitting outside with a fresh cider in hand, playing cornhole and Jenga, enjoying the atmosphere, and slowing down for a little while made for a genuinely relaxing afternoon. No rushing. No crowds pushing you along. Just good cider and good company. We also picked up a growler to bring back to the hotel because one thing became very clear during the tasting process: leaving empty-handed would have been a mistake. The Apple Barn Cider Mill does a great job creating an experience that's welcoming, fun, and memorable without feeling overly commercialized. Great cider. Great staff. Great atmosphere. Five stars. There was pretzels and there was jerky, tons and tons of jerky. From Kangaroo to python. Yes you read that right, kangaroo and python. The lady even walked right up to me and called me white trash! How rude, but it was delicious. Yes, white chocolate pretzels. Hahaha if you are ever in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee be sure to try some nuts at Try My Nuts!
