Stopping here has become a family tradition. The store is a quaint shop nestled against a hillside in Pigeon Forge, I believe it's right across the main drag from the Old Mill Restaurant. If you like taffy, they have a huge assortment of taffy that is made onsite. You can also watch them making taffy, which is pretty neat. I'm more of a chocolate fan, so I go for the chocolate counter. I'm not crazy about the fudge, but the peanut butter cups, chocolate raspberry cremes, and other chocolates are awesome. The workers are friendly and helpful. If you happen to be there while they are making taffy, they will interact with you and explain what they are doing. There is also a gift shop upstairs, but I've never gone up there to look around. Sadly, I just finished the last of my chocolate today. Can't wait to return next year! read more

Great place for candy. I found them to have the best prices per pound. The candy was very fresh and they have a huge selection. The most flavors of taffy around. I enjoyed packing my own box with my favorite flavors. (You better buy twice as many as you think or you will regret it days later!) So first off I want to say that the candy store was amazing, so many different options of taffy, fudge, chocolates including sugar free. I bought a ton and was surprised it only came to $29.00. My bad rating is a based on the upstairs part of the store. My dad is a veteran so I thought if there was anything up there he'd like since it's basically god guns and country type merch. I don't know if it was the owner or just an employee but he kept following my husband and I! I even saw him hiding behind a rack of clothes looking at us! We left & my husband said " did you not buy anything because that man was following us?" I said "yep". Following a customer is so rude and offensive, I clearly bought from downstairs I'm not sure why he thought I was gonna steal from the upstairs part but I'll never spend another dime at this place again. read more

So yummy! Alllll of the taffy flavors we tried were great. My only regret is not buying more! Even the sugar free taffy was GREAT! Only got one piece that seemed tough or old in our bag we made up, and it likely just got lost in rotating new stuff in. Guy making taffy was kind enough to offer my kids and I a fresh sample of what he had on the machine being made! SO great. This place is a family owned business in Pigeon Forge, TN that has been here for years according to the owners. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. They had taffy and chocolates as well as penny candies and other sweets. A sample was provided if asked. I bought chocolates which were out of this world. The store itself may be great but DO NOT try to order online. I ordered last week, they won't take online payment and so I called my credit card information in. I was told I would get an email confirmation the next day. I STILL have not gotten any email or anything and I have sent 2 emails. (Online ordering is pricey too, for 2 lbs the shipping was $8 so for my 2 pounds I paid just under $20) UPDATE- never got any correspondence from them but the candy arrived today. Very fresh. Teaberry is delicious! Just like the gum. The Clove is too mild for my taste but not bad. read more

The best candy store In pigeon forge, Tn we went in here looking for hot sauce, which we were told they didn't carry it, so Howard the owner tells us of a place in gatlinburg that has 100's of different hot sauces, he actually took out his phone and yelped it for us and told us how to get there. We did buy a few different chocolates which where incredible even days later it still was creamy and fresh. So whatever your looking for especially chocolate you can find it here, if not he can probably tell you were to get it at. The store was spotless and had hundreds of selections of different candies, so don't waste time going to any other candy store smoky mountain candy makers is the only stop you will need. My boyfriend and I stopped in here when we were in Gatlinburg for a long weekend. He had been here previously and said it was really good, so I decided to give it a try. We took home quite a load of candy, just little samples of things that looked good. I can honestly say that I don't think there was anything that I disliked. Some of the flavors of taffy I wasn't very fond of, but it was still made well I just didn't like the flavor. The fudge is amazing. They had these jelly sugared candies that took me back to my childhood. Kind of hard to notice from the road but if you get a chance, definitely stop in! read more

I can't give 5 stars because it is candy but it is one of the best candy places I have been too. We stopped in because someone at my work had brought some taffy in from here and I love me some taffy. The place was empty and the store owner was behind the counter looking bored. My daughter came in after I did helped me pick out some taffy. It was about 5 something for a pound of whatever you wanted, pick and choose. They had barrels of all sorts of flavors so we got some banana (my fave) and my daughter chose chocolate, strawberry, and some others. They also had MOONSHINE!! There were also some flavors I had never heard of nor would I try. They also had fudge and candied orange peels and HUGE chocolate covered marshmellows. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for at least some good taffy! read more
