The cake was perfect! I ordered over the phone and she knew exactly what I wanted and it was delicious, light and fruity. Our top tier had lilikoi filling and the bottom was mixed tropical fruit. She delivered to my venue for my morning wedding which was much appreciated! Thank you so much!

I ordered a cake for my sister's wedding ceremony. Even though I live overseas Jessica was able to coordinate every detail of the request, down to delivery. She even somehow managed to find my sister's house even though I mistyped the address! The cake turned out beautifully, and most importantly was delicious. Even my extremely picky niece loved it. Highly recommend!

a white wedding cake with orchids

We got a small cake for our Maui elopement from Jessica at Sweet on Maui and it was AMAZING! Jessica made us a coconut cake with coconut cream cheese and chocolate ganache filling, and vanilla buttercream icing and it was absolutely delicious! Hands down one of the best cakes I've ever had. The cake was moist and the flavors were to die for. Jessica also did a fantastic job with decorating - it turned out even better than I had imagined. She used fresh orchids and succulents to decorate our cake, and it was so beautiful! Everything about our cake was perfect! Jessica was also incredibly responsive, very flexible and helpful, and very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend Jessica and Sweet on Maui for your wedding or celebration cake!

    Assorted chocolates

First class experience!! I had some friends staying in Maui and wanted to surprise them by sending some sweets and treats to their hotel. Jessica immediately responded to my email and voicemail, despite getting caught up from the Valentine's Day frenzy a few days prior! I ordered assorted chocolates and she added in some special order fresh pineapple macadamia nut bars she was making for another event (see pictures). She not only personally delivered them the very next day, but also emailed me pictures. Her invoicing system was so simple and easy to use, unlike other online ordering experiences I have had. I highly recommend Sweet on Maui if you're looking for exceptional customer service, if you want to support a local female entrepreneur, or if you have a taste for some unique treats you can't find anywhere else!!

You don't want to be disappointed and to show up only to find out they're all gone. Reserve, pick up, and enjoy! We got the dark chocolate truffle, red bean paste and peanut butter milk chocolate mochis. They were all delicious. The mochi skin was so smooth, so soft, and nicely chewy - just how a perfect mochi should be. And then fillings were complementary to the mochi skin - not too sweet, just right (so you know, when I drink milk tea, I usually go for 25% or if any milk tea with syrup, then 0%). Dark chocolate truffle had a very nice smooth dark chocolate truffle taste, and if you like dark chocolate, you'll love this. Peanut butter milk chocolate had a very nice texture with the chunky peanut chunks. It was deliciously chewy, crunchy and savory! And the traditional red bean paste, it was yummy. Only regret is that I didn't buy another set of all flavors to bring home to store in the freezer to have for the weeks to come. If you have had mochi from Twin Sisters in Hilo, this place comes neck to neck to theirs except that Maui Specialty Chocolates don't have any fresh fruit mochi which is all made up by how delicious the mochis are on Maui. Sorry, no picture as mochi was devoured before the camera came out

Their little store is small, but mighty and the service is nothing short of spectacular. What *I think* they're mostly known for is their gift baskets/boxes. When holidays, birthdays, special occasions roll around, Lee Bear is such a great place to find an assortment of goodies for friends and loved ones. Their gift baskets are filled with treats like candies, Maui Cookkwees, gourmet cookies and rice krispies that have been dipped in a rich, decadent chocolate coating; freshly hand-dipped in their store to ensure high quality flavor. My favorite is the white chocolate covered pretzels with rice krispies, marshmallows, etc. SO good. It's the first thing I call dibs on when I see it. Haha! Just recently, I stopped in when my little one suggested we make lollipops. They had a wide selection of molds, gel food coloring, candy thermometer, basically everything and anything we needed. They even sold the white chocolate covered rice krispy treat by the package! It's a bit of a splurge, but I like what I like and will pay for it... lol. When we checked out, the lady (I'm assuming the owner?) asked us if we've made lollipops before and offered up so many tips and hacks. She answered all of our questions and even provided a mini recipe book that she suggested we keep as they don't make them anymore. I was really impressed, but not really surprised, with the quality of their customer service. That's what I love about mom and pop shops and the reason I will continue to support local businesses like these. Next time you decide to make a treat or need a quick, easy gift, you don't have to spend hours shopping for the perfect gift. Stop by the store or order a sweet gift basket from Lee Bear & Co Inc.

We had the Nutella and the Lilikoi, and they are absolute units--massive, beautiful and perfectly executed. The pastry is light and incredibly fluffy, but stays dense and decadent because they don't skimp on the filling (it's actually in the center, not just a garnish on top!). The Lilikoi was a total standout--bright, fresh, and perfectly tart. I found myself breaking off the flaky layers just to dip them into that golden center. I've never had the cube croissant before so perhaps this is just the style of them. I liked the guava filling but thought the cube croissant part was okay. It did seem like this one had more dough than filling. - Lilikoi Croissant (between $6 and $7) - I found that this croissant was not really flaky. There was a really good filling to croissant ratio in this one. However, I did appreciate the strength of the lilikoi flavor in this croissant, and the filling did taste fresh. - Macadamia Nut Latte ($6.85)- we both got ours iced, 12 ounce and with regular milk. We honestly enjoyed these lattes more than the croissants. The macadamia flavor came through quite strong (in a good way) and was pretty unique. There is a small parking lot and lots of seating inside. We saw a couple chickens wandering around outside when we grabbed our pastries.

Both times, I really really liked their turtle fudge. Unfortunately, they were only selling it in boxed sets and not individually. I just wanted that one flavor! The third time I saw them was when my husband & I were randomly strolling through Front Street in Lahaina. I thought to myself, "That packaging looks really familiar... Oooo, they have sweets. Let's go in!" Sure enough, it was the same company with the turtle fudge AND they were selling them individually. The girl at the counter was really friendly and informative, telling us how the fudge is all made on Maui, how they used to make everything in this tiny Lahaina shop, but now have 2 locations (another one in the Kihei Triangle). In the Kihei location, they also hold their fudge making class, which I've heard about and have been wanting to try. I had no idea it was the same company. It was all coming together! The same girl proudly told us she had samples of every single flavor and happily obliged when we asked for specific flavors. As much as I loved the turtle flavor, I ended up randomly getting the Maui mud pie. Go figure! I "just knew" I would like that flavor and I do! She also gave us a sample of the toffee and I picked up a box as a gift for someone. Both are delicious ~ Actually, all their flavors are good! In addition to fudge & toffee, they also sell taffy and coconut candy. Everything in their little shop is $8.50. $8.50 for one little block of fudge, you say?! YEP. I'll pay for a good product that I want & will enjoy ++ you're supporting local. I've paid less for other fudge on island and most of it goes to waste :( This stuff is legit! They do offer a small kamaaina discount and I was given a rewards card to use for return visits. I definitely recommend them, especially if you are looking for Maui Made goodies to give as a gift or to just enjoy for yourself!

I had heard about the Maui Cookie Lady cookies in early 2016 and knew that I had to get one the next time we visited. At that time, the cookies were only available at various local markets that would get a delivery once or twice a week. There was no dedicated retail store then. In November 2016, it finally happened! I was able to find a small supply of Mitzi's, the Maui Cookie Lady's, cookies at the Market Maui (since closed). My first cookie was Da Half Baked - a chocolate chip cookie stuffed with Reese's, Snickers, AND Oreo! OMG...only a super creative cookie chef extraordinaire could have imagined such a delight! I knew that I would be a fan forever!! On every subsequent trip, I sought out the amazing cookies. It wasnʻt always easy to find them, as the batches were small and offered in very limited locations. I would be on a mission and never gave up until I found them. My friends and co-workers were always so excited when I brought them back a "world-famous Maui Cookie Lady" cookie when I returned from Maui. In late 2020, the year after my last trip to Maui, the Maui Cookie Lady opened up a retail shop in Makawao. I haven't been able to stop by in person yet, but I will be going the next time I visit. I tell all my friends about the cookies, and several have been able to stop by the cute shop. When I am lucky, a friend will bring back some ono cookies for me. The Maui Cookie Lady cookies are not like most of the cookies you are used to eating. The first thing that you will notice is that they are really big!! I like to say that they are "gargantuan"! The second thing is that they are made with creative ingredients that may be familiar to you, or they may be new. Many of the varieties incorporate local ingredients lilikoi, Kona coffee, and macadamia nuts. The combination of flavors will excite any cookie loverʻs taste buds. Donʻt worry if you are not local to stop by the shop in person. You can order cookies online, individually or via the monthly subscription box. If you are visiting and want to take a few home with you, know that they can be frozen and stay great when you want to enjoy them. They do not contain preservatives, which I think is a big plus. In addition to creating great cookies, Mitzi is a big supporter of the community. She helps with various fundraising efforts to help those in Maui. As a former teacher, she is connected to educators in Hawaiʻi and their special needs. Once I get back to Maui, I will visit the store and update this review. I can't wait!
