Someone dropped off a whole lotta treats to the workplace which is how I got introduced to the Maui Candy Company. PRODUCTS: Gummies, teas, lollipops. SWEETS: Green Apple & Strawberry Banana The mixture of green and white bears are way bigger in size than the Haribo-brand version. The green apple flavor was very distinctive and spot-on but the strawberry banana was more of a creamy strawberry. Awesome Blossoms These are multi-colored, fruit-shaped gummies that give off a strong fruity smell upon opening the pouch. The flavors were very bold and tasted like real fruit juice. Amazing! Strawberry Red in color and yup, tasted like a strawberry. A favorite among the office and the first bag to go out. OVERALL: I like a little sweet carnauba wax every now and then, LOL. read more

The plushies and merchandise is from Temu or an offbrand distributor. They do not base prices off of TCG. I bought a Skyla card valued at $15 but was charged $80 and this was a few years ago. I will say the candy that is locally produced is good but cheaper at Longs Drugs. read more

Came by here today with my 4 and 9 year old. This place is a hot ticket with the kids at school. Everyone says it's cool, apparently. Nice location...in the unit where I believe Max's of Manila used to be, or at least the one next to it. Been a lot of revolving door tenants there so I was curious to see what they had. Lots of candy, as expected. I was amazed at the selection. I've probably not tried like 90% of the items they have. Very diverse. Lots of imported candies. Lots of little toys like fidgets and stuffed animals and poppits. They know their target market too well. And also lots of Pokémon cards. They have some expensive rare ones too. I guess they do events there too. Not sure where but it was advertised on the door. They've got some mixed and surprise bags that of all kinds of things for those who want assortments. Prices are steep but I'm not surprised given they're a specialty store in a prime location. It's all about the experience of a candy store which you don't get many places in Maui anymore, certainly not many that kids would consider cool (sorry, the one next to Ben Franklin with all the big jars of pickled candy isn't "cool"). Recommend everyone check this place out, if only to window shop. It's a cool place, I agree. I'm sure we will be back. read more

Kelly and her Ohana are still giving us the greatest of both candy worlds - classic blasts from the past and new family favorites. However - THEY HAVE MOVED! To Maui Mall, right across from IHOP. Which is brilliant because now they are central to all of Maui's candy connoisseurs. They have got quite the selection as always but let me update you on what may be new to you: 1) Of course you know that they love to support other Maui Made Businesses, by offering space to sell their selections. From Papa Joe's Cotton Candy (more like Maui Rainbows he happened to capture in a tub!) to new treats like Kauai Coffee Beans. They sell so many varieties of Kelly's specialty hard candy but also new CBD options too! 2) Kawaii Candy - I kid you not there is something for everyone who loves candy to go with their Kawaii obsession. From the Hello Kitty Marshmallows to the rice candies you grew up with, and new specialty products from Japan. 3) An EPIC selection of confections that are specific to dietary needs or culture based celebrations. This week of Chanukah, you could go in and grab chocolate gold coins, delivious Joyva Halvah, and other specialty assortments. 4) That's not candy! You are right - it's SLIME. Yup, Maui made slime that actually is very cool in variety and so much easier than trying to mix the stuff up yourself! They also have Hello Kitty lunch boxes, pencil cases, board games, and so much NOT candy kine stuff. 5) It's at least 3x the size of their old space. It is so spacious and really considerate of shoppers being able to buy without fear of being in a smaller room with other shoppers. They have really put so much thought into this layout. We are so excited to make this a new tradition on Central side now. Having quality confections for such a great price, and supporting more than one Maui business in one shop - it's win -win (unless you eat all the candy that was intended for the whole family. Yelp's direction was not entirely accurate so we walked around for a bit till we found it. I was in search of li hung flavor gummies and candy. They carry their own package stuff, Obachan's as well as other Hawaiian brand. I bought a good amount of candy and stayed under $100. You can buy some li hing candy cheaper at Longs Drugs/CVS but if it's in your budget, the packaging from Maui Candy is nicer, especially if you are giving them as gifts :) read more

This company has been in business for 3 years and has graced the Maui community by opening a seasonal shop at Maui Mall directly across of IHOP! Per one of the owners, they will be at this location until the end of December! A sweet shop + sweet owners = a pretty sweet experience is what you'll get when you enter the world of Maui Candy Company! I was immediately greeted by one of the owners who offered samples of some of their products, answered all of my questions & provided recommendations for great items! This shop carries diverse items ranging from ethnic flavors, nostalgic candies, movie theater sized snacks and a variety of gummies! Surely you'll find something you love! Their layout is very well organized and spacious to allow for social distancing. Bottles of hand sanitizer are conveniently placed throughout the store. Was super excited to buy some local candies before I leave island until the man at the register became extremely immature, unwelcoming, and irrational when my little brother asked if he could come down on the price. A silly question, but coming from an unassuming 14 year old did not deserve a "get out of my store. You don't ask that" while making a scene in front of the other customers and drawing it to my family's attention with little time to react to the dramatic response. Very cute store with lots of good options but beware of the dude with black beard!!! LAME attitude. Still in shock, didn't buy anything because I was so uncomfortable and did not want to support the business anymore. I can get candy somewhere else dude, it's called customer service. read more

The guy behind the counter was so rude!!!! My friend had to walk out, they weren't about to buy anything from him. Hard to see behind a mask but he is a shorter guy with a beard. Would NOT buy anything from him. He likes to make rude comments like he knows everything. We just asked if he had different kinds of candies. Will not come back here ever again. Cute little candy shop located across from IHOP. I first had their candy 2 years ago when I stayed at the Grand Wailea here in Maui. I learned that they supply candy to quite a few hotels across Maui! The gummies were so good, I had to find the store this trip and get them myself. They do change out flavors seasonally, so the ones I had a few years ago were not available unfortunately, but we tried a bunch of new ones! The sour gummy balls are our new favorite! The owner and his son were working and were so kind to us. The little boy was practicing being the cashier (only about 8 years old) and was too cute. They also were giving away a FREE bag of gummies with every purchase! Let's just say we ended up with 11 bags LOL. Def worth checking out!! I love this store! The owner was genuinely excited about her craft and super friendly, not pushy at all! The items for sale were neatly packaged and aesthetically pleasing to look at. The gummies we purchased were delicious and so soft. She had samples of most things and each purchase came with a free little gift from a small basket of options. Mine was a Smarties brand lollipop which I had never seen and was tasty and fun! She made little snow globe-like packages complete with "sea glass" in the "sand" (all edible) which would make great gifts but hard to fly with.
