However, pricing aside, the egg waffle was prepared fresh upon order. You can choose the waffle flavor, and then go with 1 of many topping themes. We chose the Chocolate Lover with Vanilla waffle flavor. This looked amazing and the tastes and quality matched it. It quickly made us forget the price! The staff up front were friendly. Only downside was it took like 15 minutes to get your egg waffle (was told up front at least). Ambiance is the food court of South Shore Plaza. If you want a fancy egg waffle treat, definitely try this place!

I came by to grab a cake for a birthday and the people working were incredibly rude. The person grabbing the cake for me had his airpods in and couldn't hear me. So, when I asked for a cake, he kept saying "WHAT? WHAT?" and acted annoyed because he couldn't hear me over whatever he was listening to through his airpods. He then packaged the cake very haphazardly and didn't make eye contact or speak to us beyond the prior "WHAT." The cakes here are good but not good enough for me to feel disrespected and dismissed. Especially when they're pretty expensive. Come if you don't care about getting yelled at by some high schoolers.

It is a bright and spacious shop which provides patrons with trays and tongs to self serve. On this visit, we had our eye on the warm items in their warming oven for a light lunch. My selection was the Croque Monsieur which was light yet rich, and sweet yet savory from the ham and cheese. I also had a bite of the Mushroom Onion Cheese pastry, which tasted rather good even to this non-mushroom fan. I'm just curious enough to look for an opportunity to revisit to try one of their flattened croissants...

I've seen photos of the unique mousse desserts online but yesterday was the first time I decided to check it out. Their pastries look amazing. I was having a case of choice paralysis. I arrived around 2:30 and noticed that some of the croissant pastries were already sold out. I decided to opt for the seasonal croissant and I was surely not disappointed. The cross section looks great and the jam/filling on the inside does have texture so it's not smooth purée which was a nice change of pace. I didn't get to try any of their drinks but judging from what I saw at the other tables, I really need to try it next time. There is a self area on the left side of the store where there are utensils and the handles of the knives were HOT when I went to get one so you can definitely rest assured that these are cleaned frequently (but do be careful). There is complementary lemon infused water and the disposal area near the restrooms. Noise level wise-- it is not a super big cafe and tables are seated close to each other and it can get loud when the coffee machine does its thing but overall I would say it's a pretty good location to have a little with a friend.
