Finally stopped into this bakery, I pass it often. It's clean bright and so inviting. Friendly welcome by girl behind the register. All the desserts looked incredible, but this time I opted for the vanilla waffle cookies and the sweet chipotle peanuts. The cookies were so yummy, and the nuts delicious! I first found this bakery two days ago and LOVED their breakfast blueberry cake and apple nut bar. I went back today and was greeted by Mama B, one of the owners. She was so friendly and nice. So today I selected the lemon poppy and blueberry muffins along with another apple nut bar...all were absolutely delicious! I will definitely be a returning customer there. Stopped into the store and right away there was a not so pleasant odor instead the store rather than the usual expected freshly baked goods smell. The store is nicely decorated. Not many selections to choose from on display. Chose a blueberry cake, a mini chocolate Bundt cake, oatmeal cookie and almond biscotti. The oatmeal cookie was a bit mushy and fell apart as I ate it and the flavor was a bit too sweet for my taste. The rest of the pastries were either tasteless or not enough of something. The texture of the Bundt cake was like a flourless cake, dry, dense and stale. The blueberry cake was also dry and stale. Will not be going back again. read more

I am writing due to a surprisingly unprofessional experience. I have been using shugah hill bakery for the last year for all of my celebrations and have always highly recommended this to anyone I knew. I called this morning. Was asked to be put on hold. No problem. I waited on hold for approx 5 minutes and hung up when no one came back to the phone. I tried to call again multiple times and the phone service was offline with a recording of " the party is not available try again". I asked my mother who works in town to go in person to order a cake I need 5 days from now. She was met with what seemed like a frazzled employee complaining that they aren't taking any more orders til May 7 due to a large order volume of cupcakes they have to get done. I feel overall this was presented in an unprofessional manner and continually not answering the phone when open seems to be a bad business move. My order was taken elsewhere. I will no longer be recommending this business. read more

This bakery has a beautiful interior. The staff are friendly and helpful. I tried several items while I was there. I got the Blueberry Cake ,Pumpkin Sheet Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting,Mini Key Lime Pie,Raspberry Almond Bar,Italian Anisette Cookie, Italian Lemon Cookie, Brownie, Americano and Almond shortbread. I stopped by Sugah Hill for a treat while I was running errands. Everything looked really good. I was hoping to buy some vanilla cupcakes. There were only chocolate in the front case, so I asked if they had any. Turns out they were in the process of frosting some freshly baked cupcakes in the kitchen, so I was in luck!
