Long overdue but very well deserved! Susan did an absolutely phenomenal job styling our wedding florals. We got married in a remote location with a summer camp theme and during our wedding weekend we experienced the adventures of last minute rains. Weeee! We moved our reception indoors but Susan worked her magic transforming the atmosphere with gorgeous garlands and table settings. Everything was more than I could have ever imagined! Working in the event industry I am a huge proponent of creative freedom. I initially told her what I loved but very much gave her the leeway to style and go with her creative expertise. Although I had specifics I liked, we were marrying early in the season so I allowed her to choose florals that were seasonally strong and let her GO! Susan did the most incredible job on the flowers at my wedding last week up in Pinecrest, CA. Her work on the arch and surrounding stage was truly stunning --- and perfectly blended with the crane installation I had made. She found some of the most unique and striking flowers I have ever seen, all within the color palette I requested. It took my breath away to see it all come together. It was absolutely amazing to have Susan to be our professional wedding florist. Susan is truly an artist, and she is not afraid of high challenging work. Susan knows how to make any environment feeling natural with her highly skilled flower arrangement techniques, and she have an eye for detail and that make everything spot-on perfect. We couldn't ask for more from Susan, and we've only met her from our wedding but we become friends. Susan inspires people around her with her talent and her beautiful personality! On our wedding day, we had the most beautiful cheery blossom for our reception and ceremony. The weather was unstable so we were a bit worried about if the flower would be able to bloom on our wedding day. Susan helped us achieve this dream and she especially ordered cherry blossoms from Oregon and ships it to California in order to have the flower blooming exactly on our wedding day. All we had to do was looking for images references and letting her know what we would prefer to have. For my wedding bouquet, it was hard for me to find a reference images and I wasn't sure if the bouquet matches my height ( I am a short bride 5'-2", and I prefer bouquet that can make me look taller when taking photos). Susan helped us put everything from imagination to reality -- and the result was absolutely gorgeous. I couldn't stop holding my bouquet on my wedding day, they were so beautiful, and all the guests were complimenting the flowers at our wedding place. One thing I appreciate most from Susan is her interest in sculpture artwork influences to her flower arrangement skill ( Susan does sculpture work as her hobby and you can see how it applies to her flower arrangement -- the flowers looks equally beautiful on every angle). There were also time we really just don't know what we want. All we could do was to rely on Susan to make it beautiful, and she did! All the details that I care and I didn't have enough chance to mentioning to her ( it was super busy prior to our wedding day), Susan checks everything and make great solution for it. One example was one of the wedding sign was broken and one side of the gold frame was gone. Since it was on an easel, Susan uses flowers to cover it up and it looked so beautiful!) Susan is the best florist I have ever come across and I feel blessed that I was able to have her to work with on my wedding day and the days leading up to it. We are still receiving compliments on 'the most beautiful wedding flowers' our guests had ever seen. I had been a bit wishy washy about paying for florals at all and had thought about trying to DIY it and I am SO glad I didn't because it was Susan's creativity that pulled the whole look of our wedding together! From one picture of a bridal bouquet that I'd seen on pinterest, Susan came up with designs for my bridesmaids bouquets, a gorgeous arch, and garlands for the tables. Planning a wedding is a tedious, tiring, and terrifying thing. The first thing you have to do is gather your vendor "team" whom you're suppose to put your trust in after speaking with a few times. I can tell you, I am ecstatic I put my trust in Susan. From the beginning, she was warm and friendly. After reviewing her work online, she really seem to have the same style I had in mind. But that style I had in mind was in a million directions!! She was really patient as I tried to put my ideas into words. When we finally honed in on what I wanted, she was really able to tie everything together. And even after that, I kept on making tiny changes because my mind wanders and she never once complained. But after all the talk, it wasn't until the day of my wedding I was able to see everything. And I was not disappointed!! I received many compliments on everything. She is also very fair and reasonably priced. She is very mindful of your budget which is always an extra plus. I had the pleasure to see her in person the day after the wedding when she was helping clean up where I gave her a big fat hug of gratitude! I wish I could give this 5 stars, but the flowers I received on my wedding day were not exactly the colors that I had requested. I requested white with hints of red, and ended up with 50/50 red and white. That being said, the flowers were absolutely gorgeous. They set up greenery and flowers along the table runners that were stunning. The flowers were all fresh and beautiful, so many guests commented on how gorgeous they were.
