We also know however, that the more you Google looking for answers, the more questions you have! Even if you have a venue, you now need to worry about seating charts, timelines, hairstylists, weather, forest fires, COVID, cleanup- oh my! "Do I even need a wedding planner?" may even be a question that you are pondering- and that is ok! The good news is, this review that you are reading is the review you need. As partners, we were asking ourselves these same questions. In hindsight, we would have been stupid to not hire Terri/Events Extraordinaire. Should you simply care about the bottom line, then skip the rest of this review and just hire her already! If you are interested to know why, please see below. Although one of us was skeptical in the value of a wedding planner, I can assure you that Terri's actions and efforts were invaluable in making our day perfect. From the very first meeting, we were relieved at the methodic approach Terri takes to wedding planning. Your first meetings are simply getting to know each other and learning what the couple wants to achieve with the wedding. Terri fairly listened to both of our ideas and provided unbiased feedback and guidance. These little nudges compounded to big decisions which encouraged us along the wedding planning process. Speaking of the process, Terri has one. She has timelines, 'day of' agenda's, and planning deadlines that keep not only the couple, but also your vendors on track! Although you may expect the planning process to go smoothly, just as we had, of course life happens. We had a serious issues with one of our main vendors (That we found before working with Terri) the month before the wedding. We promptly referenced Terri's pre-supplied vendor list and found someone who was more budget friendly, that produced fantastic results. Then, just one week before the wedding, the HMUA dropped out (crazy we know!). Terri picked up her personal cell phone that same day, to step in, and spent the evening with us hunting down alternates. To us, Terri felt like another family member with all of the right tools in her tool box to help us navigate the complex nuances of wedding planning. On the day of the wedding, we hardly noticed Terri- and I mean that in a good way! Seamlessly behind the scenes, our wedding day and timeline panned out about as perfect as it could be. We had originally hired them solely for day-of wedding coordination, as we are a young couple on a very tight budget- in fact, we were considering doing it all ourselves just to save money, but decided against it, and THANK GOD we did go with hiring the Three B's, because we would have been completely lost without them. From the very first phone call, Bonnie was incredibly helpful and patient with me as I explained my vision for our wedding, and she just GOT it, instantly. She and the rest of the B's created a plan for us that would work with our needs and our budget, as well as offering to help us with anything else we might need before the wedding. Little did I know just how invaluable they would be- once I started a new job, and with us living so far away from the Sonora area where we were getting married, it became nearly impossible to juggle all of the details and vendors, so I handed everything off to them, trusting that they would be able to keep everything on track. They did, and so much more. They gave us the majority of the vendor recommendations, rented decorations to us for a fraction of the cost that we could have found elsewhere, hired additional help, planned venue logistics, coordinated timelines and communicated frequently with all of our vendors, kept in constant communication with my husband and I, to make sure that they were bringing our vision to life in the way we wanted, while also providing much needed emotional support. I was a very indecisive bride, and would often have new ideas or change my mind due to budget constraints or other logistics- they were incredibly supportive of every idea I had, kept me accountable, and were extremely patient and kind with my fickle nature. On top of all of that, we found out, much to our dismay that it was going to rain on our wedding weekend, and we had less than a week from the event to essentially find a new venue or some sort of shelter for our guests, and plan almost an entirely new wedding. We were both busy at work, and feeling incredibly stressed at this huge shift in our plans, and unsure of what to do next. That's when the Three B's stepped in and saved the day. They searched high and low for tent rentals, and eventually coordinated with our venue to provide a large lodge for all of our wedding events, at no extra charge. They notified all of our vendors, created a new timeline and an action plan, and soothed the majority of our worries and fears in the process. When the weekend arrived, they all worked incredibly hard to keep everyone in line, wrangle our guests and wedding party members who were constantly distracted and wandering off, kept the rehearsal and events going in a timely manner, etc. But even more than that, when we found out we only had seven hours to successfully move the wedding ceremony indoors as well, they immediately leapt into action and assisted our wedding party and family with setting up the new venue. When I arrived, the venue was completely transformed from a musty camp dining hall to a beautiful wedding space- it was truly awe-inspiring and that is thanks in huge part to the B's help. The wedding itself ran very smoothly, everything was perfection, and they continued working throughout the night to make sure everything was as it should be. After the wedding, I was told that they mentioned our wedding was the most challenging wedding they'd ever done, (and I believe it!!), but they handled each challenge with the utmost grace, patience and kindness, and they turned OUR "Plan B" venue into a "Plan A" venue! We are both truly thankful for everything the B's did to make our wedding planning process a smooth and happy one, and for contributing so greatly to making our day as magical and beautiful as we dreamed it would be. I am still in awe of the tremendous support and encouragement we received from the Three B's, and we will be forever grateful to them for everything they did for us. Leading Up to the Wedding: We did a final venue tour about a month out where we went over questions and site details with the venue coordinator. It went really well and Melissa guided us in thinking through final decisions based on her expertise, but did an incredible job at prioritizing our needs and vision. I put together all of our contracts, tablescapes, and details of who would be bringing what to the wedding in a folder for her so there wouldn't be any surprises for her.
