Ok so let's get this out the way I see the potential here . I get that in a small downtown area an old historical type of building that hosts brunch style food and has home style dinner options can be alluring. For the most part they have had a good response from the community and who am I to judge. Yet it's a lot of people who I imagine don't get out of Georgetown much, locals that only have the mediocre monument Café to compare it too who think it's cute and nostalgic vs the other option. The rest are one time visitors from out of town or Austin who were curious like us. There is an upstairs eating area for when they run out of room downstairs and if you need something and your waitress is downstairs you have to hope she comes by or you will never get a refill. That's easily fixable. They have several high chairs upstairs which makes me think they put loud babies upstairs haha but who knows that's what I saw don't hold me to it. The seating is very intimate as you would imagine but it's clean and well kept . As for the restroom we didn't see any baby changing stations but they do have a shower lol . There is a display case with baked goods downstairs and I think I saw a wheelchair ramp on the side of the house but don't quote me I'd have to look again. I'll try and keep this constructive, our waitress was kind and polite but in my opinion could have checked on us a little bit more often. Our chips and queso to start was lacking some boldness I think not being afraid of seasoning and using chilies onions tomatoes cilantro wouldn't hurt. If it already had those things then add more because it was like a creamy base for a thick cheese soup rather than queso. We didn't get the loaded queso just the regular one maybe that was the problem. The turkey croissant sandwich was very very dry. The turkey was long and stringy and had no flavor at all and made the already dry hard croissant even more dry if that's possible. If they are roasting their own turkey they need to slice it thin and season it well. It's a horrible method to shred it into un appetizing long stringy shreds because it loses all its juices dries out faster and has zero flavor. People assume slices will be even more dry which isn't true if you don't over cook it. When you slice it after cooking it properly you get juicier pieces and more importantly some of the skin with seasoning around the edges. Cooks owners please don't take offense , considering some advice would show growth and evolve your menu items to their full potential. I'm not the only one who has written about these things, maybe hire some outside culinary experts to work with your team to tweak your already great menu choices. The bacon for example is easy and yet it was extremely tough almost a jerky consistency. Cook it till it's barely crisp especially if it's going to sit in a pan under a heat lamp for service. Keep your sandwich croissants in an airtight container so they don't become rock hard and dry. I mean it's simple stuff that makes a difference especially if you're not willing to slice the turkey instead of shredding dry white meat breast. The steak sandwich was good it was tender the sauces where tasty the bread was very soft. It was a drastic difference from all the other food on the table as if it didn't belong. My wife took half my steak sandwich which was devastating for me because it was so good and traded me half her turkey sandwich because it was just so dry hard to chew and swallow. That was after giving our baby half my steak from my piece because he also got dry turkey in his kids panini. We opted to upgrade to potato soup with our sandwiches which was the soup of the day and were again very underwhelmed when our first spoon fool was less than lukewarm. Why serve lukewarm potato soup that to be honest was like canned soup with added fresh bacon bits and cheese--again zero seasoning. Your prices reflect the location and ambiance but not the food quality in my opinion . Too many messes not enough hits. Why not make everything to the best possible potential. Not your cooks best potential but rather the optimal version of what your selling compared to what your charging. If you're charging expensive high end niche Bistro prices hire well recognized chef to bring everything up to par and train the staff. I'd say to anyone thinking of coming here please by all means give them your business but keep it real with them for their own personal improvement when things aren't good. Being nice when something isn't good because you don't want to be mean isn't going to help them. My wife and I and our baby got queso two sandwiches one being turkey croissant and the other being steak sandwich both with soups. Our baby got a kids portion half turkey and cheese Panini (turkey cost $5 extra to add) with fruit for our baby . To drink we got 1 Arnold Palmer two Waters and a cinnamon roll for dessert to go. This all came out to approximately $74

Finally tried this cute restaurant for lunch! I enjoyed the grilled cheese & upgraded to house salad. That house salad may be in the top salads I've ever had. It's worth the $4 extra charge. Service was friendly & the place is adorable. I put us on the waitlist in advance & recommend doing that as this place is popular. Looking forward to visiting again and to indulging in a slice of pie.

When making brunch plans with my friend from Georgetown, she suggested Sweet Lemon, and I immediately agreed. It looked perfect! Sure enough, when I showed up, the place was extremely cute and busy. The business is run out of a quaint old house with a shaded lawn full of tables. Fortunately, I did not have as much trouble getting parking as I thought I might, on a Saturday while events were happening in town. We got on the wait list at about 1 pm and waited about half an hour for a table outside. The menu was full of classic foods like I like, and I eventually settled on half a turkey and brie sandwich and tomato soup. I especially love when restaurants offer half sandwich combos! However, when the food came out, it did not seem to be made with care. All the turkey was clumped on one side of the sandwich, and there was a small amount of brie and jam in the middle. The soup was thin and surprisingly spicy. My friend got cream of poblano soup which she said she enjoyed. I hadn't looked at prices, but when the check came, I was shocked that my little lunch was $16 or $17. I understand they use high quality ingredients, but for that kind of money I'd want my sandwich to be assembled intentionally so each bite was enjoyable! I wanted to try their baked goods, but I'd been having so many sweets lately I figured I should pace myself, and also not pay $5 for a cookie or more for a big dessert. Sweet Lemon is great in theory, but in order to be worth returning to, they need to prepare their food with more care.

Sweet Lemon Kitchen is located in Georgetown, TX, (outlying city near Austin, TX), is a quaint and cozy former home. It has a bed and breakfast, and a cottage like vibe. The overall building is rather small, but the space is all utilized. The bakery and coffee bar are downstairs and guests are seated both upstairs and downstairs along with outdoor picnic-like seating. The bakery's number one selling item is their cinnamon roll. Other dessert standouts include the cheesecake and key lime pie. Sweet Lemon Kitchen offers charming dining spaces and features bright yellow outdoor patio umbrellas. The hostess, wait staff and manager were all super welcoming and down to earth. I met a friend here for lunch at Sweet Lemon Kitchen and we had a big time dining and catching up. The menu features breakfast, lunch and dinner menu items that are thoughtfully planned and expertly executed. We ordered the Turkey sandwich on toasted Italian Bread and a Turkey Club Sandwich on a croissant. We upgraded to the Sweet Lemon House salad, which was very large. The sandwiches were both large as well...could be easily shared by two people. The Sweet Lemon salad dressing was lite and completely addicting. We also shared a cinnamon roll and both ordered lattes (Pumpkin Spice and Matcha). The Matcha latte was the standout. The cinnamon roll was totally next level. The only thing that would have made the cinnamon roll better would be to add pecans. Bella did a fantastic job given that this was her 3rd day working at Sweet Lemon Kitchen. She was friendly and accommodating. I am green belt business process improvement certified - both a blessing and a curse. The practice of having wait staff traverse wooden steps to access the bakery and coffee bar is not highly efficient. A small space should be carved out upstairs for some desserts and a coffee machine to serve guests quicker. In addition, we had an estimated 35-45 minute wait because we did not have reservations...reservations recommended. It was quite busy for a weekday lunch hour. Look forward to visiting again soon....

This one is hard to rate. Because of it being midday, they were out of many items. My selection was a half combo meal. 1/2 a grilled cheese and 1/2 a bowl of tomato soup. Not sure if other places have actually do combos with a half of a bowl of soup. Hmmm Tomato soup had good flavor, however, it was on the watery side. Nothing to rave about on the grilled cheese. Went to this location for someone who has a gluten allergy and they had no gluten bread. Due to the wait to be seated, we asked to placed a to go order and sat on one of their benches, much faster. Went to the hostess location since there were utensils there. however, upon requesting and we were takeout sitting at there picnic table. They would not give us utensils. We had to go in bldg and get plastic ones. Enjoyed the fresh lemonade. And sat under one of the benches to eat my meal. Great weather, great conversation, nice location. Definitely could've been better service assuming because we were a takeout, no one stopped to ask us if we needed anything. A server left a tray of dirty dishes next to us the entire time we sat there for two hours before a young man-waiter asked us if someone had left them there. He then took the tray of dirty dishes.

I have been in search for good cinnamon rolls for the longest and I finally struck gold! This was my second time stopping by Sweet Lemon Kitchen, the first time I went they were sold out of the cinnamon rolls for the day. On my second attempt I decided to come earlier and thankfully the cinnamon rolls were fresh and hot. The cinnamon roll was so good it had me questioning if I'd ever tasted a cinnamon roll so good. It took 3-4 minutes before anyone acknowledged me, but outside of that the visit was pleasant and worth the drive. The price was reasonable and I look forward to coming back to try more items on the menu. The location was easy to find, parking was also readily available. The decor was warm and inviting and felt very welcoming. This location gives small town vibe and I loved it.

Nothing but rave reviews and a feeling of sunshine and local goodness when we visit Sweet Lemon Kitchen. Even on a busy Saturday, we were seated quickly and ordered easily. Service with a smile. Peach tea is so refreshing and flavorful. The Frittata is my absolute favorite anywhere around. The hubs enjoyed his scone with lemon curd and croissant sandwich hit the spot! Thanks Sweet Lemon for the great Saturday kickoff.

The food was terrific as well as the service. The layout is cute and makes you feel like home. Our server, Amelia met us shortly after the hostess sat us. She took care of us by ensuring our beverages were filled and taking our order quickly. It took maybe 15 minutes from the time we ordered until we had received our meals. I had the Frattata with a salad. The Frattata was moist but not undercooked. The veggies inside were cooked well too. My salad had several different ingredients and the dressing was perfect. I truly enjoyed the meal, full but not overly. The only issue is parking, although there is plenty across the street but when church is taking place, you may have to park on the street. Thank you Sweet Lemon Kitchen and Amelia for providing a nice dining experience!

My family and I came here for Mother's Day. The place is super cute and a historical building, so being inside feels really great. However, due to the business of the weekend, they have run out of some of the items I wanted to try, like the Lemon Bundt Cake. This happens often, and this place provides desserts to other businesses in the square. We weren't thrilled with the food, but again, they had run out of the brioche, so the sourdough bread was the only available bread and made the sandwiches pretty huge and hard to bite, at least for us. This is not the first time I've come here, so I can't really say it's always like this. I did have a mimosa from the Mother's Day menu, and it was nice. I also had the leek soup and I really enjoyed that a lot! Maybe will check this later when they have the Lemon Bundt cake again.

Cool little restaurant. Reminded me of grandmas house with aesthetic. Lemon Drop Latte Had little bit of lemon pulp which was delightful. Had a nice presence of lavender and lemon. The foam was sweet and thick. Sweet Lemon Grilled Cheese Sandwich: The grilled cheese sourdough was crispy. And the cheese was pull apart stringy and gooey. The basil, tomato and aioli made this grilled cheese next level. My favorite part about our meal, was the service. Took our drink order, gave us time to look at the menu. Came back and took our meal order. Food came out before the drinks but that's okay everything was quick. Checked in to see if the food was good and we needed anything else. I recommend sitting inside since there's AC. Although it is enclosed and less intimate. Outside seating was spacious but on this occasion it was too warm. Lots of parking. I give this place 4 stars.

We are sitting out on the patio at this great little healthy restaurant in Georgetown. The sun is shining. It's gorgeous. The atmosphere is really nice and the food is really wholesome & delicious. I'm very healthy. The service was great and even the host was really nice.

Cute restaurant located in an old home downtown Georgetown. Indoor and outdoor seating with live music. Parking can be difficult if downtown is busy. Our waitress was very nice. The hostess sat us next to a large AC vent that was too cold and our waitress let us move to a different table. Chicken pot pie was delicious and the ultimate comfort food. I wish there was a bottom crust though. Beef bourguignon was tender but it only came with one chunk of carrot.. I expect more veg to come with a roast. The lemon vinaigrette salad dressing is divine-sweat and tangy. The salad greens were too large though. No one likes having to awkwardly fit a giant piece of lettuce in their mouth. The Pinot Noir was the worst wine I've had in a long time. I can't understand why restaurants don't put decent wines in their menu when they are available and many options. Loved the desserts. Highly recommend the lemon bar and coconut cream pie.

I wanted to absolutely love everything about SLK, and I almost did. Once I saw the photos, I was so excited to go and the place is every bit as charming and cute as you'd think from the photos. It gets busy for brunch so I just put my name down on the list and walked around the Georgetown Square which is just beautiful and wonderful. Easy enough - the food was great; solid breakfast sandwich; bowl of fruit, nice cold brew. Really liked the old building and the fact they locally source much of their ingredients. But, it feels like one of those places where the staff are all younger folks (trying their best), but they are overwhelmed (so they forget things) with trying to serve, and bus, and take orders that it really takes away from the experience. Given that there are alot of children, it makes for messy tables and floors and chairs everywhere - they try to wipe it down (with kinda dirty rags) but the benches and floors are still messy. I hope they can address this because it would take the experience to a whole other level! I'll still return but would probably rather try and eat outside for that reason. If they do improve that, I would come and bring friends/family that visit ATX in a heartbeat!
