Dropped by Sweet Enemy today just to browse after being recommended by a friend. As soon as I walked in, I knew it was for me! The shirts are exactly what I normally go thrifting for and the prices aren't insanely high like most vintage stores. I copped two shirts for the low and ended up scoring a Stussy hoodie, for the wifey, for free! The employee was super respectful and cordial. He's even the one who allowed me to take a shot on their mini basketball hoop to get the hoodie for free. Who would've known I would it make it on the first try (I knew)! Walked into Sweet Enemy earlier this month while on my vacation. They had a great selection of vintage 90s, early 2000s shirts and crew necks as well as unique coats and outwear. I left with a vintage Harley Hawaii crew neck that was acid washed at the bottom. I could also tell the clothes were properly cared for and washed before being put on the rack which I know could be a concern for people post-covid. This place is THE place to shop for their branded items & thrifted tees. The owner Drew is so personable and friendly and really makes an effort to get to know every single one of his customers. Something that makes the experience special is the IG story post of you & your new items (if you allow) on the brand's Instagram! The shop is always clean and follows the new covid guidelines. The quality of the Sweet Enemy clothes & hats are amazing and they're always coming out with new designs. There are designs that hold a deeper meaning to them or he has simple logo tees as well. Love the concept behind this brand. The owner, Drew, has really brought the concept behind the SweetEnemy to the store front. The store is located inside where the old sports authority was on Ward Ave. There's plenty of parking and some other awesome local stores inside too. When you get to the store your eyes are drawn in by the fact the shop appears to looks like a florist's storefront. There ground looks like grass and there is even a fridge with shirts rolled up to give the appearance of roses. They even place your purchases in the same type of bag a bouquet of flowers come in. The clothing has meaning behind it as well as being stylish. Drew is truly innovative with coming up with new designs and growing his business. I believe in and support local small business. Great shop if you're into thrift shirts & cool original street wear. Personally I'm a fan of thrifting and i always find gold here, oversized vintage-based tees are my fave. But i also love that the store also has a street wear brand that's constantly being updated, just like the vintage stuff, so there's always something new when i visit. I've been to a lot of other thrift shops and the pricing is just absurd. Sweet enemy has a wide range of pricing so there's something for everyone. I got to visit Sweet Enemy's new spot on King Street and I fell in love with the vibe of the store. It has this cute florist-inspired look with shirts rolled up like roses and displayed in "fridges".
