Spent $50 on a pedicure, the guy trimmed my nail down so far and then preceded to file it til I bled, I had to tell him to stop. he didn't trim my cuticles and then my other big toe is horizontal from how he trimmed it. I went in to get my dip powder soaked off and as she was starting the filing process she grabbed a nail nipper and started ripping off part of the dip. She had said that my dip was not well done (it had not been done there) and I agreed, but that was why she was ripping them off. I let her rip off 2 nails and then asked if she had planned on ripping the rest off, which she again said they were not well done. I replied that I could do that myself and left. My first visit since they opened several years ago. I want to love this place because it's close to home. I did call last minute and got in right away. Maybe the gentleman who did my service was just a backup? I asked for a gel mani/pedi when I called and when I got to the salon. I have an injury to my foot which I explained at the beginning of my pedi. It was like the guy didn't care at all, trying to twist and move my foot in ways it DOES NOT GO! He was getting low key angry because my polish got messed up under the light and kept trying to tell me how to hold my foot. Wanting to accommodate him best I could, I ended up with painful muscle spasms in my foot which also seemed to annoy him. The massage was barely a 2 minute massage, which was less than I expected since I was never given options for which level of pedi I wanted. Still to this day have no idea of cost. Next was my gel manicure. Somehow I guess he thought I was there for a fill. Never had fake nails in my life. He then was pretty irritated as if it was my fault that I had gel on my hands that hadn't been soaked off. So he proceeded to soak and wrap the nails, and as soon as he finished the last one started opening the first one and SCRATCHED the polish off with his fingernails. Not professional at all. Made me feel like I was being punished. When they didn't all scratch off the first time they got re-wrapped and scratched again. The polish job was terrible. I have dried rivers of gel polish along my nail beds and I am just trying to keep them from peeling for another week. I've seen lots of good reviews so I am not saying I would never come here again, but only with someone who has great reviews! I'd just come in this morning for a much needed pedicure. It was wonderful to see the Technician I was hoping to be assigned to... she's helped me several times before and is AWESOME! She always has a wonderful and professional, but friendly attitude. . Unfortunately, there was another young woman that came up to the desk to assist me. It's unfortunate because right off the bat she displayed a poor attitude. She was extremely unprofessional in manner and VERY discourteous. She'd started to "help" but then an older woman came through the door and sat down. The young woman looked at me and said You're gonna have to give me a minute", then abruptly walked over to the elderly woman. I assume that she'd been there perhaps before I'd come in? The elderly woman proceeded to tell her when she was expecting other people to arrive. Mind you, there was no problem with her acknowledge the woman but she was completely dismissive with me, and rudely so... If she'd not displayed such rudeness when I'd come in, I may not have had an issue with this situation, however, her bad day has nothing to do with me and if she had a problem, perhaps it would have been better for her to simply stay in the back room until she could get her crummy attitude in check. Really disappointed in the out come of my acrylics. Asked for a double French and even had a reference photo but when it came to cut the length he didn't even ask me he just cut them. They turned out so short that I could even get what I wanted. Then he like shaped them and some of them turned out really ugly. Pissed me off since homecoming is literally this weekend. Worst nails I've ever gotten. Asked for pink and white and she started just doing tips ... then when I picked an orange color I watched the nail tech pick a different orange than I chose which was extremely neon and not at all what I asked for. I tried to correct her so many times and showed a reference photo several times as well. The service list said $50 but I was charged $61. I've never been so upset about nails so I called for a refund and they said they wouldn't refund me. Not to mention, my nail tech never greeted me or spoke other than to ask what I wanted ... which clearly she did not do. I have been going here for over a year to get a gel manicure and pedicure. I keep going back because I love the people, and their work is outstanding! Lisa is amazing; today she added a flower on each hand and they are simply gorgeous. The salon was recently remodeled. There are new chairs, new work stations, and new pedicure bowls. I had been looking for a new salon closer to me and decided to give Sweet-D's a try. Mina is absolutely fantastic! She is so sweet and did an amazing job! She is very detail oriented and made sure that my nails were clean and well polished. I throughly enjoyed my experience with her and will now be a regular for her and the business. Everyone there is very nice and polite. With Covid, they are all wearing masks and everything is clean and spread out. It was very easy to get in even with a same day appointment because they are well staffed. Everyone that came in did not spend more than 5 minutes waiting and there was a decent crowd.
