Super cute cafe with delicious and quality Cuban pastries and sandwiches. We came on a Sunday morning and it was busy but the vibe was so comfy and we were able to find seating no problem. The decor is amazing and it's friendly service. Street parking, can't wait to come back and try more goodies.

I am not well versed in Cuban coffee, food, or culture. They do not have the coffee I prefer here but they do have other things for me to try, excellent pastries and other food, and friendly staff. I am usually here when visiting my friends in Shelby Park or being weird and crying talking to my (should be) pastor. It happens. I would 100% give this a try if you enjoy coffee and are more adventurous than I am.

Went for lunch a few weeks back and it was busy! Got the Cuban sandwich, a papa rellena, beef empanada, guava matcha, and the cafecito. It took about 15 ish minutes to get the sandwich and they apologized for the wait. But I wasn't in a rush anyway! I was also getting takeout but there aren't a lot of tables inside. Everything was delicious! The Cuban sandwich was definitely shareable too. It was a bit hard to find parking since they are near Logan Street. I think they also own Sweet Havana so that's the other option to get their goods.

The first time I came here, I was so excited to see it full! Always people coming in and out. Definitely the kind of place that may require a small amount of waiting for a table to open up, particularly on weekends. They have some delicious Cuban sodas and a Cuban sandwich that will fill you up! Buttery bread, big portion, and a delicious mustard compliments the pork. My favorite coffee drink is by far their cafecito, espresso served in an adorable lil' cup with sugar for an extra bolt of buzz. Great, deep flavors in their coffee. Their pastries are excellent, with options that have bold flavors like guava, and subtle flavors like a soft wisp of vanilla and strawberry. The staff is very sweet. The decor is so pretty, modern, well thought-out, inspired, artistitic, welcoming, and cozy all at the same time. They have a small outdoor patio with umbrellas that is lovely to frequent in the warmer months. Sweet Colada is an absolutely win for the Logan Street strip.

Great authentic Cuban restaurant with excellent empanadas. They also have a beautiful upstairs area for large group gatherings.

What an amazing little spot! A friend and I met here right as happy hour was ending, only an hour from closing...and these lovely folks served us as if we came in right at opening. No rushing, everything perfect, and beautiful service. We got 3 of the 4 happy hour appetizers and 2 espresso martini flights, which are AMAZING. Regular, pumpkin, and affogato...absolutely delicious. For the apps, loaded yuca fries, empanadas, and tostones with guacamole. So, so good. Can't wait to come back and try the pastries!

I've been wanting to check this place after coming across their profile on Insta and thought today was the perfect opportunity and arrived at the perfect time, it seemed like 20 people came in and ordered after us, if not more and I can see why! This place is phenomenal and I cannot wait to come back. I wanted to try a little bit of everything so we got a couple of things to share. We each got a croquette and then 1 beef empanada and the breakfast croissant and everything was delicious! The croissant was cooked perfectly, and had a good ham to egg ratio. The croquette's came with what seemed like a Jalapeño dipping sauce which was also good on the empanada, since it was a little dry. We also got the Cafe Con Leche, Cafecito and their version of the espresso Martini. If you've never had a Cafecito, and like espresso it's a must try. It's the tiniest, cutest shop of espresso and a small amount of sugar. My husband said the Cafe Con Leche was sweeter than he expected but was really good. The Martini was hands down one of the best I've had, and trust me I've had more than my fair share. 10/10 recommend, do not walk but run!

This place is so cute! Right by Logan street market, this place has sandwiches and lots of desserts. I got a Cubano sandwich which was so big! And a mini flan. I'll definitely be back here!

First impression of the colorful exterior was one of delight. I wasn't the only one as I popped in around 11 on a weekday and it was bustling! They have a case of many sweet and savory pastries as well as a great menu of sandwiches/empanadas. In addition to the routine (and specifically Cuban) coffee drinks, they have a separate bar. I a pastry which had a flaky exterior with the perfect crunch before arriving at a tender interior filled with a delightful blend of guava and cream cheese. I also ordered a warm cafe con leche which was very traditionally made and just what I wanted! My friend had an iced coffee with guava syrup and milk. Great seating options out front, in the main area and a cute seating zone in the back. I'll be back for savory apps and drinks!

Delicious food, cute shop, friendly service. My son loved the matcha! Great addition to Louisville.

Finally made my way over here today and my only complaint is that I didn't try it sooner! The coffee is incredible and super reasonably priced. The service was very quick on a Sunday afternoon with little to no wait which I was very pleasantly surprised by! I also ordered the jamon Croquetas and a pineapple juice- both were FANTASTIC! Was lovely to enjoy on their cute patio- but plenty of seating inside as well!

Charming teal authentic Cuban Cafe tucked in Shelby Park with a small eat in or sip area and spots outside on beautiful days like today. This was a delight with the charm and flavor. Cuban coffee is amazing and the Cafe con Leche was strong with a hint of sweet. There are appetizers and sandwiches. Sweets are the wat to go with the coffee. Guava anything is so delicious. Service was friendly, informative and quick. On issue is why have we not been here sooner. Tip, they do catering.

Pastries!

This is the best bakery I have ever been to in my life. The dulche de leche and guava pastries have made me the man I am today. Each waking moment of my life will just be waiting for another trip to Sweet Colada.

Loved the espresso martini flight!! Really great quality. I wasn't a fan of the hot cafe con leche, but good quality nontheless.

It was a full house but everything was really good as far as drinks and food. Staff was nice considerate and updating you when it comes to something taking too long, getting another beverage. Drinks were French 75, house margarita, a smoked and sour, and another drink my friend got I can't recall the name of. The ambiance is so cute down to the light when you enter with the name. The vibes is warm low light. Parking is street only and limited. You may have to park a block up and walk.

I walked in around 5:15pm on a monday night, with plans for a friend to join me around 5:30. The sign at the host station said to wait to be seated. So I waited. And waited. and waited... Folks walked in after me, waited for a bit and then sat themselves at the bar. But I did not want to sit at the bar, we wanted to sit at a table. The server seemed to be willfully ignoring me and avoiding my attempts at eye contact. The bartender was taking care of everyone at the bar as well as making drinks for the rest of the patrons too, he saw me eventually and was looking around for the server or (nonexistent?) host to help me out. The bartender ultimately told me that I could just seat myself wherever I wanted, so I did. There were maybe 3 table seated at this point, it was not that busy. Then it took yet another chunk of time (6 pages read in my book I never leave home without) before I got water and menus. I was frustrated but was looking forward to seeing my friend and was ready to make the most of it. All that said, I like the vibe of the space. The dark, cozy vibes. We came because we wanted cocktails and something to nosh on. And eventually we got that. We shared a flatebread and an Asian-inspired hushpuppy sort of situation. They were pretty tasty and nice to have with our cocktails. The cocktail list is longer than expected and with a lot of intriguing sounding offerings. The two I had were very tasty and delicious! I would maybe come back again and sit at the bar so a solo visit if I had a stretch of time and no rush. My overall memory of the visit is still about the over-long wait/being ignored for such a long time after entering.

I appreciated the amount of space, and there were even a few tables outside. Bar seating, table seating, couch seating... I think I peeped a small room in the back too... all the options! I enjoyed just hanging out, people watching, and chatting with the friendly bartenders. They have cocktails and mocktails in abundance... there's literally something for everyone. And they even had these chocolate shot glasses. So cool! All in all, the place just seems like a perfect neighborhood bar. I was able to score a visit recently on Derby Week, and that will be one of the highlights of Derby Week this year for me. We arrived shortly before our reservation time after hearing that our table was ready. I was seated at the bar, to be joined by my good friend a few minutes later. The cocktail menu sounded intriguing, and I started with an Oopsie Daisy and she sprung for Fighting Words. As we sipped our drinks, we perused the menu and decided on an array of mezze as our meal that night. Crispy cauliflower arrived first, followed shortly by tuna tartare, then whipped labneh and spring pea hummus. They even provided a gluten free pita option for the gluten sensitive in our party. Out of our choices, the cauliflower and the spring pea hummus were my favorites, although everything was very good. Throughout our meal, the staff was attentive and kept our waters full, cleared plates as appropriate, and made sure we didn't need anything else during our visit. Worth every one of its 5 stars, I think you'll enjoy Meesh Meesh just as much when you go, too!
