This is my absolute favorite restaurant in the city. I've been so many times as you can tell from all my photos. The restaurant is pretty small, but they have lots of tables and can usually get you in pretty quickly. Their mojitos are delish, but my favorite drink of theirs is the Cuba Colada. It's the best pina colada I've ever had. You must try it! When people ask them what my favorite dish is in the city, I tell them about table de chimichurri! The steak is always cooked perfectly. The chimichurri has so much flavor, paired with the crunchy potato strips and creamy mashed potatoes--it's one of the best meals you will ever eat. Some other dishes I love: stuffed dates, all sandwiches, manchego, guacamole, queso, sweet potato fries, gratinado de setas. I've never had a bad meal here and everything is reasonably priced.

We were trying to decide on where to go that we hadn't been to in a while, and Mojitos was our choice. Im not sure why we waited so long and I definitely won't let that happen again! My tenderloin skewers and mashed potatoes were so so delicious and the strawberry mojito hit the spot. Our server was friendly and quick. We walked in and got seated at the last available table, so if you go on a Saturday evening you should probably make a reservation. We were seated on the front patio, other than the door opening and closing it wasn't too chilly.

It's a branch of Havana and well we love it all! The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was chill- normally super busy and all fine but it can get loud but there's live music so..,

We came in as a group of five, and the staff quickly arranged a table and had us seated even though we didn't have a reservation. Service was good and the food came out quickly. I had a house salad and it was delicious. Great value.

This place is a fun treat, they didn't offer the great happy hour deals like their sister stores but has a great menu twinning their sister locations. My go to order is their queso, but the tip is to get it with banana chips. I tried their steak n chips for the first time, it was quite good but after queso and Margs I couldn't finish my meal. I'll plan better next time but all the food was great.

Service was incredible! We sat at the bar and Daisy was a doll! She recommended which tapas would pair with the mojitos we were having, overall it was a great experience. She made the night so much fun, super sweet and personable

Another excellent trip to mojitos! Food is always always excellent. Service was slow tonight but didn't bother us because food is so worth it.

Mojitos is a MUST. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Incredible service, every time we go the everyone is so friendly. The food is always so good. We always get a couple of the Hot Tapas and appetizers. They do not disappoint. If you're looking for a good cocktail the Swirl Margarita is my go-to. We personally try and go once a month (if not more).

Forever a great scene with each visit! Service was polite and friendly, even when there is a wait for tables. We were escorted to the bar and had a classic mojito served to us. After being seated shortly after, we ordered the guacamole with banana chips and chicken empanadas as an appetizer. For dinner we shared the short ribs, pollo skewers, salsa, stuffed dates, steak and chimichurri order. Great ambience for solo dining, dates and family gatherings.

A longtime staple that continues to deliver!…read more The staff is always friendly, and that was especially evident during this visit when there was an issue with my dish. My wife and I ordered the same steak, prepared the same way--medium rare--but hers was incredibly tender while mine was unusually tough, sinewy, and difficult to cut, let alone chew. (those were my em dashes btw) After cutting into both steaks, it was clear they had been cooked properly, so this wasn't a kitchen issue. Sometimes a supplier simply sends an inconsistent cut of meat. What mattered was how the restaurant responded. The staff immediately offered several options: remove it from the bill, replace it, prepare another one to take home, or do whatever else was necessary to make sure I still had a great experience. That is the mark of a restaurant group that consistently "gets it" and truly understands its customers and community. The mezcal Old Fashioned is definitely worth trying if you enjoy a smoky drink. It isn't nearly as aggressively smoke-flavored as some of the "smoke box" Old Fashioneds served elsewhere. The mezcal gives it just the right amount of character and fits the restaurant's atmosphere perfectly. The beans, rice, and sauces were all excellent. The guacamole with plantain chips is practically a must-have. At this point, I've tried nearly the entire menu and have never regretted stepping outside my comfort zone. The next time you visit, try something you might not normally order and you may discover a new favorite. Kudos to the entire staff, especially Lisandra. And be sure to finish with the chocolate cake and ice cream!

We were leaving for the second leg of our trip and were running late, as usual. We decided to run across the street for a sit down lunch, what's another hour? Two smiling faces greeted us at the door. They offered a high top but my hip was absolutely not digging it nor a table up the flight of steep stairs. Once seated, we were greeted promptly and had water in front of us almost immediately. We each ordered soup and then a sandwich to share. I had the Sopa de Pollo . A hot bowl thick with thin noodles and lots of chunks of chicken. The chunks were too big to eat without being cut up which was a challenge in a bowl of broth. It was so hot that I had to wait a while to try it and even then had to blow on it. It was delicious. Unless the soup is your meal, order a cup. I still took nearly a pint of soup back with me. My husband ordered the Frijole Negro - a huge bowl of black beans that was served with a large pile of raw onions on top. Like the chicken soup, it was burn your mouth hot and a very large serving. He said it was good but he'd not order it again. Moving on to the sandwich. We had the Cubano. I'm not even going to describe it - just trust me - order the Cubano. Do not look at the rest of the menu - order the Cubano. Don't even bother looking at the ingredients, just order the Cubano. Have you ordered it yet? Do it already. The Cubano is huge. We split one half and had the other when we arrived at our next stop. Do consider that we had soup first; otherwise, we'd have eaten the whole thing. The accompanying plantain chips were worthy of their own review. They were wonderful. Who knows if and when we'll be back to Louisville but when we are, La Bodeguita will be the first place we stop. BTW, have you ordered the Cubano yet? What are you waiting for? Put your phone done and order it! Enjoy!!

Tucked away on Frankfort Avenue, it's a little off the beaten path, and parking can be an adventure. There's a small lot by the restaurant with overflow parking further down the hill. Somehow we managed to snag the only open space right outside the front door, which felt like winning a very specific Louisville lottery. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and the place was already buzzing. It was packed with locals, which is usually a good sign. While our table was being bussed, three different employees checked to make sure we were being helped. We let them know we were just a little early and waiting on our table, but it spoke volumes about the attentiveness of the staff. The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a neighbourhood pizza spot: relaxed, lively, and unpretentious. The soundtrack quietly floating through the speakers was a crate-digger's delight, full of songs that have been sampled throughout hip-hop history. Hearing Lynn Collins' Think (About It) while waiting for dinner felt particularly apt following the recent passing of Rob Base. The song's iconic break became the foundation of It Takes Two, one of hip-hop's most recognisable records, and it was a nice reminder of how deeply great music connects generations. To start, we ordered the Olives & Togarashi, a bowl of Castelvetrano olives coated in a wonderfully aromatic blend of spices with notes of fennel, sesame and citrus. My son tried his first olive and was genuinely shocked by the flavour. He'll come around eventually. For the main event, we ordered three large pizzas: the DOP Margherita, the Funghi and the Original Sting. The DOP Margherita showcases imported buffalo mozzarella from Campania alongside basil and San Marzano tomatoes. The Funghi is loaded with an incredible blend of mushrooms, taleggio, pecorino cream and mozzarella. The Original Sting combines soppressata, fresh mozzarella, basil, tomato and spicy local honey in a sweet-and-savoury combination that completely works. Now, let's talk about the crust. It is perfect. Pillowy and light, yet substantial enough to give you that satisfying chew. The wood-fired oven creates just the right amount of charred bubbling around the edges. Our server offered house-made ranch and other dipping sauces for the crust, but we politely declined. This pizza doesn't need any enhancers. The balance of flavours across all three pies was exceptional. I've eaten pizza all over the world, and Pizza Lupo belongs in that conversation. It really is that good. We had a plan: sample all three pizzas and leave just enough room to split the tiramisu. Thankfully, we stuck to it. The tiramisu was fresh, light and beautifully balanced. Not overly sweet, nicely moist, with just enough espresso flavour coming through. It was the perfect finish to an outstanding meal. The service was fast without feeling rushed, friendly without feeling scripted, and genuine throughout the evening. We left full, not bloated, and happy as spring lambs, already talking about what we'd order next time. We'll defo be back. Cheers, Sam

We waited 30 minutes past our 9:15 reservation to be seated because we were told the previous reservation would not leave. We had to ask the hostess twice before our table was ready. Once seated, we felt rushed to order. The salatim wasn't replenished until we had nearly finished our entrées. When we asked for more pita with our mains after receiving side orders of hummus, we were asked how many individual pieces we wanted. None of us received the rice that comes with our mains, and when we asked our server just agreed but it was never brought out. My fries were also forgotten and by the time I asked I was told the kitchen had already closed so I couldn't get them. They kindly removed the fries from my bill and gave me a complimentary dessert. Our empty glasses also remained on the table for the entirety of the dinner. At the end of the meal, we all requested separate checks, but three of them were incorrect and had to be fixed. The burrata was so well balanced with the accompanying tomato, the tuna was so juicy and well seared, and the lemon sorbet had me dreaming of lemons for hours after. The food is genuinely worth the price point! If you care though, the restaurant is VERY plain. There is very little personality in the decor, and aside from some unconventional chairs and a tile floor by the bar, nothing really sticks out as pleasing to the eye. I chose this restaurant for Valentine's Day to have a romantic, intimate atmosphere, and the vibe was giving summer camp lunch. The floor plan is very open and super grey, with plain wood tables. Even the servers were in very casual clothing. Any other night this would have been fine, but for Valentine's Day, I wish I had picked something more romantic.
