Sauvignon Blanc

Celebrating the 26th wedding anniversary and this restaurant did so much more than satisfy. The inside is open and attractive. The color pallet, consideration of sight lines and communal feeling was perfect. I expected a loud environment due to the openness, but it was cozy. We were greeted by the lovely and charming Patricia who ensured our evening was memorable. All of the staff stopped to say hi, check in and make sure we were taken care of. However, it wasn't because of our special event. It is just the nature of the staff. They made sure all patrons were looked after. The bar menu is abundant and includes multiple house cocktails and there is great happy hour menu as well as daily specials. We enjoyed the ribeye with cheese grits and seasonal vegetables and chicken Marsala. Everything was delicious and arrived at the table in under 15 minutes. We hope to return to enjoy the live music sessions soon. Definitely will be back and highly recommend thjs restaurant.

The Mahi Mahi dinner was absolutely divine - truly a 10 out of 10! Every bite was bursting with flavor, from the perfectly seasoned fish with the zesty citrus cream sauce..FIRE, to the creamy grits and fresh veggies. Ordered through Door Dash and it was still hot. Oh, the portion was also huge!!

Ambiance was beautiful. There was a live band. Ricardo sounds amazing on the guitar. The food was mediocre. Their take on a Caesar salad was very interesting. Drinks tasted watered down. Not sure if I'll revisit.

This place is a whole vibe! It's classy yet hip, and their presentation is on point! There is a bar downstairs and upstairs, and there's a ton of seating up and down for the restaurant. They have live music on the second floor, and it really sets the mood! My husband went there for date night, and it was fun and still romantic! The service was great! They gave great recommendations, and everything came out in a timely manner. We ordered the margarita flight, the Irish coffee, and the house margarita for drinks. They were all very tasty, and they have yummy options for the margaritas! If you have a group of people, they also offer shot flights served in an airplane, and they have a margarita tree! As our appetizers, we ordered the ferris wheel sampler and the lava cheese dip and chips with chorizo. Both were absolutely delicious! The ferris wheel is fun and has a bunch of great options on it. For our meals, we had the fajitas and The Bourbon Star. Definitely recommend both!

What a wonderful experience!! We had a group of 16 for lunch yesterday. Ambience is beautiful, food was delicious and served hot to all 16 of us in unison, drinks were wonderful and so tastefully presented. Our server was attentive and extremely informative and kind. We all just absolutely loved it and will be back!! Loved my vegan carbonara - always a treat when someone works hard on the vegan options!!

I attended a birthday dinner at Beyond The Sun. It was a great experience from start to finish. It was a party of about ten. I ordered an old fashion and it was good. We had appetizers that we shared and everything tasted good. For my entree, I got the salmon. It came with rice and vegetables. Everything was excellent. Our server was great as well. After dinner, we went upstairs to listen to the live music. The place is a very popular spot on Bardstown road. Next time I'm in town I will definitely come back!

Our first visit to Yacht Sea Bar was definitely a memorable one!…read more Walking in, we immediately loved the decor. Everything was on theme, right down to the creative menu items. However, the initial experience was a little confusing. No one greeted us when we entered, and there was a group of at least 10 guys gathered around the bar. We asked if they were in line, and they explained they were ordering drinks. We stood around for probably another 15 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. Eventually, we decided to grab seats at the bar. We mentioned to the bartender that it was our first visit, which he acknowledged, but we weren't given any guidance on how ordering worked. Apparently, you either start a tab immediately or pay for everything upfront before receiving your food and drinks. Not a big deal at all, but a little explanation would have been appreciated! Now, let's talk about the FOOD because EVERYTHING WAS FANTASTIC! We ordered piña coladas, the Chi-ca-gogo (fried and wrapped in bacon), the evening's special clam chowder, and a bacon cheeseburger. Every single item was delicious. Compliments to the chef! The clam chowder arrived first, and the aroma alone had us ready to dig in! It wasn't your typical thick chowder, but it certainly wasn't lacking in flavor or ingredients. There were generous portions of clams, bacon, and potatoes. Absolutely delicious! The staff definitely runs a tight ship (pun somewhat intended), but a little more interaction, warmth, and lighthearted banter would really elevate the experience, especially for first-time visitors. Would I go back? Absolutely! The food alone is worth another visit. And now that we know the drill, we'll walk right in, grab a seat, and get straight to business! Great concept, fantastic food, and plenty of potential to make the overall experience just as memorable as the menu.

Started with the crab dip- great flavor and texture, fresh scallions and shaved cheese which helped build up the crab flavor- even got extra bread for the dip since it was a good sized portion, Baby green salad- fresh, crisp lettuces, cucumbers and tomatoes in a vinaigrette Bacon wrapped pork loin was flavorful and tender on the inside while the bacon was crispy and cooked to perfection. The highlight was the squash - almost like a veggie lasagna. Char grilled cab ribeye- cookedto perfection (medium rare) with potatoes. Balsamic fingerling potatoes- while they had agreat taste and texture- little too sweet. Finished with a key lime pie- heaven in a pie crust- great key lime flavors, meringue was to perfection!

Food: Cornbread- unexpected. This was the free bread corse for the table but it was not expected. This didn't come out until after we ordered our meal. Definitely burnt my mouth because I was impatient Hawaiian Fish- Big portions! It is true when they say that everything is bigger in the south! The fish was light and free of the fishy scent. The rice was a bit mushy from the cook and the addition of sauce. Angus Filet Mignon- standard. The filet was cooked nicely and the lobster compound butter was a nice touch. On to my next adventure...

There are also picnic tables out front. You get a faint whiff of the grill/smoker upon entering. Kylie was our bartender and she was fabulous - knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all of our questions with patience. Wife ordered a mango margarita and doesn't like a lot of tequila, so Kylie went half and gave her a shot on the side in case she wanted to add more. It was wonderful. I had a couple of beers. We started with the fried mushrooms, which aren't what you would expect. It's two large portobellos cut into chunks, battered, fried, and served with sun-dried tomato mayo. They were great. I then ordered a duck taco, brisket taco, and a side of Grippo Fries with smoked mayo. I'd never tried duck but that taco was smack-a-lackin'. The brisket taco was also good, and the fries were fantastic - sweet and spicy, fresh cut, and crispy. Wife ordered a pork belly slider and truffle fries. She enjoyed the slider but didn't care for the fries - just not her thing. The portions here are large. A side of fries will feed three people. We took a hefty portion of them home, as well as some of the mushrooms. We could've sat there at the bar and spent 3 hours socializing and enjoying a smattering of cocktails - love the setting. Look forward to going back and trying one of the burgers at some point.
