Plumbing and home repair stuff is not an easy biz. You get different opinions from different pros. My situation was fairly black and white in that my water heater was dying and we needed a new one. SWAT was assigned to us by our home warranty service. I'm rating them based on their communication with us and the conduct of their plumbers. They get high marks on both fronts. Their notifications process is that you get a text when your plumber is headed to the call before you so you can get your butt home. Then another one when they're headed to you along with a link to track via gps. At one point during our saga, I called their office and left a message after hours. I got a prompt call back the next day. Points man! As far as the people go, the admin staff over the phone and the two plumbers we dealt with, Cody (legendary) and Jason were both polite and professional during their respective visits. I appreciate that they put on booties without me asking before entering our house. That's a big deal for Asian households. They explained the issue to us and the out-of-pocket costs associated with it pretty clearly as it pertained to our policy. They installed the new WH and did a good job, were efficient and left a clean work area. Based on this experience I would recommend them with the suggestion that if it's something complicated, get a couple of opinions and quotes (3 is better but out of pocket DX co$t$), so you can make an informed decision. read more

A huge Red , White and Blue branded truck has been parkied in front of my home. I approached the truck to see if i could help with a address but no one was visible inside with the very dark windows. I called the phone number on the truck and listened to the spiel about the $250 after service cost to just come out. A lady answered and told me they were working on the street but i never saw them enter or leave a home. Time went by and the HUge Branded truck was still parked in front of my house there so i approached again and this time a man was inside. He said he was working at a neighbor but didnt know the name of the customer, hum. If You have plumbing problems and want a HUGE BRANDED truck and $250 service fee call these people. read more

DO NOT USE SWAT PLUMBING! They're unprofessional, overpriced, and understaffed. I hired them to replace my sewage line. There were several days where no one showed up to work on it, or would show up at 4pm to leave before 6pm. When I called to receive updates on the project (because I could never find someone on my property), none of their managers knew what their people were doing. Their team missed the city inspection TWICE and didn't inform me either time. They didn't even know that they hadn't finished the project. We scheduled the repair with our home warranty. SWAT sent Mark B. to help us out with a leak on the fridge hook up valve and the outdoor wall hydrant. All were fixed 100%, better than expected. He also tested the main house water connection and detected a very small leak that we didn't know about. He was punctual, very clear communication and a high level of expertise. We had a slab leak. For a $10k price tag they tunneled under our house and fixed the leak. Less than a year later, we had a slab leak in the same spot that was repaired. The only option they gave us was to re-pipe our house for another $10k (discounted price). Less than a year later, we have pipes fail inside a kitchen wall, leading to flooding and damage inside our walls, carpet, and flooring. They came out and cut holes into the walls to fix the leak on 5.9. It is now 6.23 and nothing has been done. We keep getting ghosted. I feel robbed. We have payed this company $22k and are having issues all the time with any work they have ever done. They have done nothing to fix the the giant hole they cut in my wall, or fix any damage done to the carpets, flooring, and door from the pipe leaking. This company is trash and would not recommend to anyone. Please choose someone else before choosing swat. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND. ANYONE IS BETTER THAN SWAT. read more

I would never recommend this company to anyone. It took 2 months to fix a simple sink faucet hose. The 1st guy, Rueben, was very rude. I told them not to send him to finish the job. He ordered the part in May. Weeks later I had to call and follow up. Almost 2 months later the part was in. They sent a 2nd guy out. He asked me what he was there to look at? The company sent him with no part and no information. Finally in July, after 2 months, a 3rd guy came to replace the hose. 20 mins after he left a 4th guy from swat called to say he was on his way to fix my toilet. I never had a toilet issue so not sure why they had him call me. This company is extremely slow to complete the job and very unorganized!!! I'm an extremely dissatisfied customer!!! read more

They charged my credit card $2,500 without authorization illegally prior to work being done. We specifically told them NOT to charge the credit card the day they charged my credit card and it was because work was not done yet. Their so called plumber (that was just a sales representative) told my husband and I we pay half before work was started and half when job was done. Then he had us sign in the sunlight on his dark phone a contract that stated we were to pay before work was done. Which by the way is illegal. You can't have a verbal contract differ from a written contract, especially with 3 witnesses. Very foolish and out right bullying. They subcontracted most of work with people that could not speak English. They sent the first plumber out that only paid $30 for license no classes a started working without experience is what he told me. Second came out and did some sawing on pipe then after he worked on it all the sudden it went from a leak to a slab leak. The third plumber came out and just did a sales pitch to have slab fixed and lied to me about the payment arrangement. Fourth plumber came out and actually worked on it and didn't break anything that time that I could tell. He seem nice and knowledgeable. Geez 4 plumbers and then two set of people they subcontracted could speak English. SCAM, I told them I would pay when job was done but they illegally and unauthorizedly charged credit card the very day I told them I would write a check when job was done. We had multiple plumbers come out for a clogged line issue. The first two techs couldn't figure it out--one even wanted to cut into walls and ceilings, all without certainty. They also charged $450 for running a camera that got stuck and didn't solve anything. Finally, a third tech came, went straight to the sinks, and cleared the clog in 20 minutes. Problem solved. I still don't have hot water and it's been over a week. I sat at home last Friday which was 7 days ago waiting for one of the employees to come and he was a no-show. Saturday Andrew comes out and says he can't order the part yet and It was probably going to take forever for this part to come in but when I call the company on Monday they said oh yeah Andrew has it on his list to do on Tuesday. Finally they order the part and today is Thursday and I stayed at home all day today and Andrew comes to my door at about 8:40 pm with the wrong part and says oh sorry and he can't make it tomorrow he's booked. Do not use this Company is a scam, they just try to rip off customers. A plumber was assigned to my house through my home warranty company AHS, the issue I have is a small leak in my kitchen faucet that only drip some water by the side when I turned on the faucet, based on my research and advise from other plumbers. It just needs a gasket change inside the faucet. Since I am not an expert doing this and since I have my AHS account, I decided to call them. they assigned this contractor SWAT Plumbing. When they came to my house, they did not even try to fix the dripping faucet, they went straight to check the water pressure and advise my AHS company that the reason my faucet is dripping is because my water pressure was above normal and need to install a prv and expansion tank which is $2.3K estimation cost not covered by the home insurance. First time in my 20-year owing a house and dealing with repairs, that a simple water leak in my faucet will cost me $2.3K to be fixed. Of course, they say they cannot fix the faucet until the expansion tank is installed. What a rip off company just trying to make money from residents. I do not recommend this company to anyone. typical warranty service provided. My initial issue was a smell. I contacted my warranty provider and unfortunately I received swat plumping. my whole issue is regarding a smell and I had the company, Rebath tell me it could be a restriction in the vent or pipes. After I explained this to swat they had a guy come to the house for 5 minutes and recommend I do a smoke test ($2k plus) he also refused to do a snake or anything in my pipes because he couldn't snake anything if he couldn't see a clog. however the first thing out his mouth was oh wow yeah you do have a pretty awful smell. after I complained that no service was done, swat had another guy come out and did absolutely nothing. I have continued to explain it's a smell but they try to tell me they can do nothing because my service request is regarding a clog. impossible for anyone to actually listen to your issue and if they do, they'll just do a half ass job and give you a run around . worst service I've had in quite some time. pray your warranty provider doesn't stick you with swat plumbing . read more

Very painful experience so far . They are the only plumber on one of the warranty Networks . When the first game to diagnose the problem they said that it was due to a storm surge that broke my water heater. I challenged that since there was no visible damage at all. They retracted since they had not even done proper investigation. Then the warranty agreed to do the replacement . Now they are charging $1,900 for vent modification.
