Is it the ample bleu cheese crumbles, candied pecan chunks, or dried cranberries??? It's all of it. Maybe it's the low lights and inviting sense of brewery in the air. Maybe it's just the beer. He wasn't particularly friendly when we first got there, and it did feel like the bill came pretty quick once we finished eating, but nothing that ruined the experience. Where I was disappointed was the portion size. I ordered the grilled chicken club, and for $15 for the sandwich alone, I was expecting a little more. That thing was tiny. I swear it was gone in about 3.5 bites. Then it's another $3 to add fries, which were good, but now I'm paying $18 for a sandwich and fries when the chicken breast itself looked like maybe 3-4 oz. A couple hours later I placed an online order for a burger for my wife since she was at an event nearby and was hungry. Same thing there. The burger tasted good, but the portion was pretty small for what we paid. That's really my biggest takeaway. The food was there taste-wise, the portions just weren't. I don't mind paying restaurant prices for good food, but at those prices I'd at least like to leave feeling like I actually ate something. I'm not saying I wouldn't be back, but maybe just for the beer and some fries.

We'd been meaning to try this place ever since we moved to Oly a few years ago, and man we should have tried it sooner, it has become our favorite pizza along with (but entirely different than) Old School. Oly Taproom is a great place to eat and chill, or to meet friends, have a conversation or people watch, and on nice days they often open the garage door type windows making the inside seating feel like part of the outside, which is cool. As a bonus, after your meal, the Percival Landing boardwalk is right across the street, so you can take a walk and take in the lovely views. Besides the beer on tap, there are more in the coolers, as well as some soda options (and I think iced teas?). I'm not a big beer drinker but the staff is always great about helping me choose the right one based on my preferences, and because there are hops in the pizza sauce, the pizza & beer combination is especially delicious. But for non-beer drinkers, the pizza is still super tasty and the sourdough crust always cooked just right.

Pros: Chill lounge/sitting area at the front corner with sofas, a low bar (accessibility friendly) and board games. Big tables to accommodate groups and various bar seating. Large brewery menu screens with large range and the food looked good. Tbh we came for brews so can't comment on food. The Wildman Beer brand was so-so. Some better than others! Cons: FOH staff interaction. Why we love pubs/breweries is because of the chill, friendly, conversational flow of FOH; their knowledge of the beers and/or cocktails, their passion for sharing it with new customers so they come back again and again ... this vibe fell short at Wildman. TL;DR Good for a basic group of people looking for a brewery experience in town with room for large groups. Not for those who are expecting an awesome brewery experience -- a la PDX, DEN, PHX, ATX or SEA.

Downtown where our show was is super walkable and this brewery is right there. When we went in what escaped my attention at the Raymond location was that I was particularly impressed with their own mead selection. And the mead did not disappoint in the slightest. The first mead I had was their Oak Aged Classic Mead. Such fantastic balance in body and the oak flavor was truly impressive! I got another mead from the list, the Sneaky Bastard Meer. It's called meer I believe due to the five different kinds of hops they put into it. Great floral and honey flavored highlights! Our experience here was excellent! Steve enjoyed his drink selections as well! Definitely returning for more mead enjoyment!

Super friendly and fun spirited. We enjoyed her service. Clam chowder was absolutely delicious! I'd revisit just for the clam chowder. Not a fan of the fish and chips. My fries were cold and the fish batter was too thick and it was soggy on the bottom half. Fish inside was bland with no flavor. The poutine however was on the money! Very flavorful and a huge portion! My only real complaint was how slow the food came out. We sat waiting for least 45 minutes. Might have been a kitchen problem, so I will give them another try, hoping for faster service.
