A lot of tile stores to choose from in the area....some has great customer service but less desirable tiles and costs were higher. Finally, decided to go with Swan tiles. We are kinda skeptical so decided to reach out co-yelpers who gave Swan Tiles a 5 star and they vouched for this store. So I went for it. Kingsley was our sales person...he answers our email as promptly as he could. He is accommodating to our requests. For countertop, they ask for 100% down payment. Don't dismay because they accept credit card so in short you have protection. Why a 5 star? We are happy with our salesman, good price, and they did a great job. Delivery time is good as well. Mr. Liu , the lead guy of the installation team, is awesome. He knows his craft very well so set aside your ego and lIsten to him when gives you an advice. Make sure that you communicate well what you want if you are making changes , example us changing the size of the sink, so you won't have any issue. I definitely will use them again. read more

Terrible company, don't buy from them. Stuck up employee (Eric) and manager. I purchased 3 Silesstone countertops and 4 shower sills. They couldn't create 1/8 slope on the shower sills so I needed to have them done somewhere else. Eric said company policy won't allow Swan to drop off the sills next door at De Luxe Cabinetry and Tiles. On the day of installation, workers came without a shower bench. Then all of a sudden, the company policy allows them to drop it off next door. When I measured after the trapezoid bench top arrived, I realized Swan polished the wrong side. Eric and his manager were unwilling to recut another piece or provide any form of compensation. This trapezoid bench top was already sloped. Swan only offered to polish the other side. But what good is that? It's already sloped. Even before it was sloped, polishing the other side and then cut flat the polished side would have made the bench top too small as it was measure as an exact fit!! read more

I contacted these guys about a year ago to get an estimate for new counter tops. They came out to Staten Island pretty fast and measured. For whatever reason I never followed through. Fast forward to a month ago I recontacted them and they were happy to hear from me. I scheduled a new appointment they came out and remeasured. Less than two weeks later I have awesome new quartz counter tops. Sunny was very professional and a pleasure to deal with. He made the process extremely easy. I'm surprised at all the negative reviews. My experience was totally a positive one. I dealt with Leon via e-mail and he was extremely responsive before, during and after my countertop installation. I noticed a small chip on the countertop right by my Farmhouse sink and when I called Leon to tell him about it, he had two guys in my house within the hour to repair the issue and guaranteed me that if they could not fix the problem he would replace the entire Quartz slab. Leon was professional, attentive and responsive to my needs as a client. I would highly recommend Swan Tiles for your kitchen needs. read more

First of all, the sales person Louis is amazing. He's very knowledgeable, courteous, and easy to work with. He assisted me in choosing the right stone for my kitchen (Silestone Statuario) and helped me through the process of deciding on smaller details such as seam placement, overhang, etc. It was my first time doing a kitchen reno and Louis made it so much easier and less stressful. He even answered my phone calls and texts on his days off. Measure and install went smoothly as well. Price was about 25% less than another fabricator I got a quote from. I would highly recommend Swan Tile, namely Louis. If you walk in the showroom without an appointment, they tend to be very rude and ignore you. So make an appointment! read more

OK installation and appearance. Bad customer service and accountability - our contact was Alan. They installed the cabinets in our new construction condo in Brooklyn, including the bathroom. Considering the location would've thought precautions would be taken against incidental moisture. After 6 months (and very few showers, as it is a hallway bath) the wood started swelling and peeling as seen below. First they said they'd fix it up cosmetically, then said it was "severely swollen" and would charge us $355 to replace it. When I said this should be covered under warranty and that there was no way water was left to rest on that location, they went silent. I followed up 4 times to no avail. Buyer beware. read more

Leon was fantastic to work with and very responsive. He answered e-mails within 3 hours and even after hours. But most importantly, they were able to install an extremely complicated 6.5 ft backsplash with tiny intricate holes for the Bocce outlets we used. The matching work they did was tops. This was done in silestone so it was done free hand and painstakingly so that the backsplash would match the countertops. Their prices are very competitive, timing is reasonable and I would use them again because I am so happy with the way it turned out. See pictures! read more

On of the company's employees, Louis, is a horrible designer for kitchens and was also inaccurate with pricing and product descriptions. The project ending up costing far more money and time than initially planned. Louis also used his friends to do the work instead of the normal contractors Swan uses. From mood board to closing! My mother decide to downsize, and sell her house, after 30 years of living in it. The property was dated and in disrepair. My brother and I knew that in order to achieve top dollar a renovation was necessary. The issue was we didn't know where to start. All the renovation shows on TV seem so easy and quick. We found a competent General Contractor that thankfully worked diligently with his crew. We've heard some horror stories. My experience with Swan was spectacular from the second I stepped into the store. Their associates are knowledgeable and they held our hand to find the right design to fit our budget. Personally, you see what good design looks like but getting there is another story. We worked with the Swan team to carefully curate a mood board. Their guidance was so helpful as they advised products that would appeal to a large buyer pool and what's trending - hence a lot of grey and white. Once we left the showroom, the team was in constant communication with me as to where they are in the cabinet manufacturing process. This dialogue was not only with me but also with my GC. It was explained to us that they house tile / countertops on site so sourcing that was no issue. As many can attest, managing lead time is everything as you don't want workers to sit around idle during a renovation. Soon after we agreed on the design, a few weeks later, the Swan team was hard at work. They delivered the tile and started to install the cabinet/countertops. Their precision and attention to detail is first class. The project manager would come at 5pm to scope the progress and quality control. The kitchen, bathrooms and basement tile work turned out flawless. I couldn't be happier with the quality, communication and diligence. We received two broken box of tile from the warehouse and they immediately replaced it, no questions asked. The result, our house sold for a record in the neighborhood, well above ask. Their showroom is clean and well organized. It is very interesting to browse all the various tiles, kitchen cabinetry, and stone options. This is where the positives end. The staff are not very helpful and they lack inspiration. It is hard to get one of the salesmen to speak to you and even harder to have them give you helpful ideas on a remodel. They have no contractors that they work with so everything must be installed and built by yourself. All in all it is a good place to go if just want materials and want to see them in person. They have a bathroom which is nice. For full service look elsewhere. read more

We used Swan over a year ago ordering granite countertops, cabinets, and tiles for a kitchen remodel and were pleased with the materials and service until last week when our stainless steel undermount sink collapsed through the countertop, bending and cracking our drain pipe and soaking our kitchen floor. We'd been soaking a couple pots and dishes and came home 20 min. later to find the carnage. When speaking to Swan about it they implied the collapse could only come from misuse and begrudgingly agreed to reinstall it in the same manor it was originally installed even after I'd requested they use wood reinforcements to ensure it was secure. Even though the reinforcements had been left for the workers by Ian, the Manhattan store manager on a previous visit, the men that came hadn't even brought a drill and refused to put them in. After speaking with Ian he admitted the brackets used last time were too wide yet still refused to reimburse us for the cost of fixing the pipe or to take any responsibility for the sink collapse. After about 4 minutes of speaking to him about it he said nothing more would be done and rushed off the phone. Needless to say they didn't want to do more than the bare minimum and at no point accepted any responsibility for what happened. Unfortunately this experience has showed me how unprofessional they are at dealing with issues that arise out of their poor and dangerous installations and I will never use their services again. read more

Had a surprisingly good experience with Swan Tile; we already knew what exact stone we wanted and were shopping around for the best price, so I can't speak to in-store experience and Swan's design services. Swan quoted me a price that was half what other dealers were quoting (including big box stores and other Flushing Chinese stone dealers), so I was nervous at first that it was too good of a deal, and thought of all the horror stories I've read on Yelp for other dealers (fake stone/ not the ordered item, last minute surcharges, bad installation,e tc). But everything went smoothly and our countertops are beautiful! I think it's because Swan will sell the exact amount of material needed, while other dealers will charge for the whole slab (and maybe keep the excess material not used, even though the customer paid for it?) We ordered Caesarstone countertops & installation for our kitchen renovation and corresponded with representative Carol entirely via email to place the order and schedule onsite measurements and installation. Carol was very responsive and helpful, the person who came to measure was on time, polite, and efficient, and installation went smoothly while I was at work. I paid a deposit by check to the guy that came to measure, and paid the rest on a credit card, which I liked because of the additional purchase protection. It has been 2 months since installation (I wanted to wait before reviewing in case something went wrong during completion of our kitchen). I would recommend Swan! read more

I would be careful with who I deal here. They did have the best price compared to anyone else for both the countertop and the cabinets we wanted. However the customer service is less than desirable. We dealt with Kingsley who was great with customer service, answered questions quickly and professionally and when we had a problem he made sure it was taken care of. As per the rest of the sales people, they were unhelpful and sometimes rude. If you call no one will help you except the sales person who you've worked with. For this reason I would only go with Kingsley. I would recommend them to a friend but would just give a proper warning before they go. Again they did have the best price for the countertops we wanted and the cabinets. The install team was professional and quick. read more

THE WORST, they should NOT be doing business in America. Swan Tile is unprofessional, slow, inefficient, unmotivated to do business and frankly I do not know how they stay afloat. The manager, Ian, believes that he can yell and raise his voice to customer, moreover he is a liar and a cheat. He cheats his customers out by purposefully scheduling deliveries for the marble 2 weeks after it has been paid in full and gets angry when you mention that this is an unacceptable business practice. Not only is he a petty man so is every salesman in the store, they do not know what they are talking about and are unwilling to help a customer. If yo work with one salesperson one day you will find that they do not work 5 days a week and that no other salesperson can help you remedy their mistakes, because they do not want to be "responsible." Moreover, when you call or go into the store to inquire about your $30,000 tile order, no one seems to have any record of the order and cannot tell you the status. It is impossible to do business with them and we are extremely upset that we spent $30,000 in marbles to get this terrible terrible customer service. Bottom line is Swan tile needs to go out of business, they do not deserve customers, their prices aren't even the lowest! This type of customer service is unacceptable in America. They will never be able to fix how they run their business so giving them a chance when so many terrible reviews have been written is just a waste of your time. Swan tile will waste your time, they will keep you on hold for 10 minutes and when you finally get to talk to someone they believe it is ok to hang up on you when you just want to know the status of your order. I have spent hours and hours on the phone with Swan tile being yelled at by customer service representatives, being feed lies, and ultimately no one can help you out not even the manager. Swan tile is absolutely the most backwards and intolerable company I have ever worked with, as a professional I am shocked and appalled. They need to go out of business immediately! read more

Even after reading the other review we decided to go ahead and went to Swan to redo our basement floor and living room floor with tile and hardwood. One of my friends had her bathroom remodeled in NJ and recommended us to check them out. She was happy with the results. So even though we were a bit hesitant about choosing them after reading the other review on Yelp, we decided to visit the store anyways and see for ourself. After we spoke to the salespeople...they had the best selection and prices especially compared to what we saw in Philly. I'm glad we decided to use them. Our floors look great! They had a good selection, reasonable prices, and the salespeople were knowledgable. I can speak some Chinese, but my husband doesn't..and although their English isn't perfect they knew what they were talking about. I would consider using them for other home remodeling projects. read more

They are terrible with the customer service. Prices are expensive and they even made mistake on a custom made shower door which they would blame everything else but themselves. The shower door costs over $800 and they actually said it was the customer's problem. And it is end of it. Their cabinets are okay but they charge way too much. And they keep changing prices to make the last dollar out of you. Once you pay, then they delay the delivery and ignore you. When you have problem with the cabinet, they shuffle you off the door and make you wait til they have time to address it. Also, when ordering tiles, it is always either not enough when you have to pay expensive freight charge or too many when you have to beg them to take it back with expensive restocking fees. The old country tile company in Westbury has much better return policy. Don't bother to go there or you will get ripped off. read more

Swan Tiles was recommended to us by a friend who used them for kitchen counter and backsplash, said service was quick and professional. We loved their tile options. Turns out it's not that easy to order tiles - with so many color and design options, you need a professional to guide you through the process. Kinglsey at Swan Tiles did just that for us - he sat with us for 2 hours, listened to our ideas and designed the layouts for a bathroom and a powder room. He calculated the amount of tiles, and gave us a very reasonable price. Later that day I emailed him to make a slight change and he replied right away even though it was late night. We are now waiting for the tiles to be delivered (free sidewalk delivery). They also have great options for kitchen cabinets. read more

Swan Cabinets is the absolute worst place to ever buy custom cabinets. Our contractor recommended we use Swan and it's been a total nightmare. Shortly after the cabinets were installed they all started to chip terribly. Instead of providing us with new cabinets, they decided to "touch up" the cabinets and the paint again chipped one week later. Buying custom cabinets from Swan is a complete waste of money as they will deteriorate within a month. read more

The worst! Tiles over priced and sold me the wrong trim for my bathroom. What they showed me was for floors; looked great until cut, then after the fact was missing several stones. Sold me eight times the amount needed which was delivered in two large boxes. I used approximately one third of the first box and the second box was never opened. I requested to return the second box but to no avail. My advice is to stay away from these crooks and shop at a reputable place of business. read more

I would rate Swan Tile and Cabinets with 4.5 stars. Since Yelp does not allow 1/2 star, and judging based the end results, I gave Swan a 5 stars. Wife and I purchased a co-op apt in Manhattan and decided to renovate the kitchen. We closed the apartment at end of Feb, 2014. It is important to note the time as that impacted our order process. Co-op apts in NYC are generally very strict when comes to renovation, sales. So even after we closed on the apt, we had to obtain management approval for renovation which took 3 months. Below is our experiences in dealing with Swan Tile. Pre-Sale (2.5 stars) - This is where Swan needs improvement. From Jan-Feb 2014, we shopped for tiles and cabinets. Swan was one of the tile/cabinet stores that we visited in the area. Swan sales people are informative, but very cold. They don't come up and greet you, you must approach them. Not the friendliest group of people compare to the other stores around there. Beginning of March, 2014, we have chosen our cabinets. We designed the kitchen and hand the requirement to one of the sales persons. The sales person quoted us a price that's less than what other stores were quoting by a good $300; the material quoted was Chinese plywood which is much cheaper than American plywood (about 15% lower). We decided to postpone the order until we receive the renovation approval from apt management. Unfortunately, we didn't obtain the approval until early June of 2014. On the second Saturday of June 2014, we went back to Swan about 30 minutes before closing. This time we met Sonny, who was not the friendliest at that time. In fact, we felt he was rude - this first thing he said was :"we are closing in 30 minutes". Wife and I went back the following day and brought our quote from March. Sonny was much friendlier on this day. Apparently the sales person we spoke to in March no longer works there. Sonny looked at our requirement and came back with a lower price while using American plywood. Wow, no brainer, we ordered on the spot. Sonny has been extremely helpful since. One more thing, Swan doesn't sell cheap cabinet handles, Sonny actually recommended us to go to Ikea or Home Depot for better value handles. I thought that was very nice and honest of him. Order/Delivery process (5 stars). Once we placed the order, Sonny sent someone over for measurement to ensure the order fits the kitchen. Sonny was extremely responsive to all our questions. After the measurement, we went back to Sonny. Sonny explained what items were ordered and provided extra fillers and considered many things that we didn't think about (ie some area may be better with drawer instead of doors). We asked Sonny if we could ask cabinet maker to speed the process. Sonny suggested not to rush them. Based on their experience, the rushed orders usually came back with poor workmanship. The cabinets were promised to be delivered in 3 weeks. The manufacture came through and Swan deliver the cabinets one week ahead of schedule. After sales (7 stars). Wife and I have renovated our new apt and old apt this past year. So we have encountered many vendors, and Swan, hands down, without a doubt, by far have the best after sales support. After the delivery, we noticed some of the cabinets have some blemishes. We were disappointed. We called Sonny. Sonny happily called the manufacture and replacement was shipped out in 2 weeks. Every calls/requests to Sonny were returned/answered within reasonable time. Besides that brief presale where he acted rude , he has been a delight to work with. Final thoughts : Swan is a great place to shop. Their second floor has samples of cabinets they sell. They also have good selection of tiles to choose from. If you don't like sales people to disturb you, this is the place. They will answer your questions, and everyone are very knowledgeable. Their presale persona is rather business like. Their after sale is unmatched , which is something I rather have than a great presale but crappy aft-sale support (see my review on Global Flooring). As another vendor close by told me, the competition is fierce, prices are going to be very similar, so aft sales is something they treasure for either repeat business or recommendation. Swan stands out in both price and aft support. One last note, Swan does not do "cash, tax included" transactions. So pay with your credit cards and earn points. Two stars for value and selection: We bought nice porcelain kitchen tiles for a really great price. Three absent stars for poor, rude, and disrespectful customer service: Flushing - I went to the Flushing store first and when I asked for help, was first ignored and then made to seem like I was a huge bother. They didn't have the color tile I wanted but they told me I could get it in their North Bergen store. I borrowed two samples which they said I could not drop off at North Bergen (very frustrating to have to bring them back to Flushing when I was going to make a purchase in North Bergen). North Bergen - When I arrived here, the service was even worse. They were not friendly and ignored customers waiting. Then they laughed at me and mocked me to one another in Chinese (not realizing I could understand Chinese) when I wanted to open up the boxes to check that the tiles that I had ordered were correct. When I opened the boxes, the tiles were the wrong color. When they brought out the seemingly correct order, they laughed again when I wanted to check and count them insisting they had it right this time. Well, while the color was correct, the number was short by a significant amount. When this was corrected, I went back to Flushing to return the samples and let the manager know how terrible the service was. He seemed to be the only nice man in the area, but without any power to change anything. If you want super cheap tiles and are willing to tolerate rude and unhelpful 'service', come here. read more

Pick up a quartz top and the price was okay not super saver but it was my first time dealing with this kind of project. You have to know your stuff so they can help you in selections which i brought a sample of my cabinets color to match up. I could have went HD but after waiting for a clerk for 30 mins I gave up. I didn't pick up my backsplash from them but instead I went to HD to save a couple of bucks. read more
