The Sales Rep is NOT very not knowledgeable with wood flooring. Anyone can sell as long they memorize the price for the stock and what is best for. A knowledgeable person knows how and what needs to be done with floor and provide roughy cost. The worst part is the Sales Rep jack up the price from $200/day to $500/day on the labor, if the building needs insurance. $300/day on the insurance.... the guy call out the price just like you ask the price at flea market. Very disappointed about the quality I purchased. Plesse be aware that What you see in the showroom is not what you get. I spent almost $5/sq.ft for hardwood total over $5000. Very poor quality finish more one third of the each box. I am not talking about the coIors. I do know that colors can be uneven. There are many piece with running tint or partially tinted. I did use it because I don't have time to reorder or exchange. I guess I have to refinish it. Reviews on Yelp helped me to pick this store but it was a mistake. I do not recommend it, I had the worst experience with this store the day I placed the order for the wood, the person who "helped" us informed us that the wood we wanted was made to order, and another one that we liked for the other floor was that one. They had it in the store and I could return it or cancel it but the other one couldn't, and they told me that it would take 2 weeks to arrive, a week later I went to the store and another person helped me, I explained that I didn't want the wood that was in the store I only requested it and they told me no, they started to lie to me that I had to talk to the person who sold it to me and that she was on vacation and that she would return the following week on Tuesday, I returned on Tuesday and she was not there, that she would return on Saturday That only she could help me, I told them that we were in 2023 that they should call her or write her a text, they didn't want me to have to wait for her to return. We are now in mid-October and every time I ask about where my delivery is, I am met with no response or a poor excuse of they will call me. No one has called me back. I would leave no star if possible. The salesperson Olina (an older Chinese lady with glasses) was absolutely unprofessional. She provided a quote much higher than her coworkers and when confronted, she bullied her coworkers in front of customers. We ended up putting in our order because it was so ugly and we felt bad about the situation. The checkout time was long and uncomfortable. The price isn't much better than other places in Flushing. Ordered the hardwood floor from them the end of last year. Paid $5 per sq feet for almost $5000. The selection of the floor was highly recommended by the owner. However, first of all, when the boxes delivered, there was nothing showing on the boxes at all! No brand, no place of origin. Secondly, the color of the floor was more uneven than what the owner said. And the worst part is that the floor started showing big gaps in all the rooms after a winter. Customer service in store The show room was very neat and organized. There were lots of choices of samples to browse through. This is not one of those fancy Manhattan wood flooring showrooms that looks like a real-life version of a magazine catalogue (it's located in Flushing, Queens), but it had lots of choices. The sales person, Merry, was very helpful and answered all of our questions. I could not ask for more in a sales representative, as we received personalized attention the entire time we were in the showroom. We didn't have to wait and were helped immediately. This was an excellent customer service experience. Customer service over the phone This aspect of the experience was 50/50 for me. I initially left a message on yelp (which was replied to almost immediately), and then was able to talk to a customer service representative named Jack. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions about the particular kind of wood my wife and I are interested in. At no point in the phone conversation did I ever feel rushed. This is really important to me because even though I've gone through one renovation, I'm not a wood flooring expert and I really need the customer service representative to be patient with me and answer all of my questions. However, there were other phone conversations that were not so great. We requested a delivery date of 9/1/17, and that was confirmed by Merry. However, late in the afternoon on the day before 9/1/17, I called in just to re-confirm the date, and Merry just said something along the lines of "oh, I forgot to call you to tell you that we can't deliver on that date." This basically means that if I hadn't called that day, we may never have gotten a phone call until much later. This may not be a problem for some people, but for me an my wife, we needed the delivery at (or soon after) that day because our renovation schedule would have gotten seriously screwed up without it. So, we re-scheduled our delivery date to Wednesday 9/6/17. However, I later received a call from a third person (neither Jack nor Merry), and this person told us that the 9/6/17 delivery date was not available. I then had to spend about 45 minutes going back and forth over the phone to try to straighten out this situation, and finally Jack stepped in and sorted it out. Now the next part is either due to my misunderstanding of what they were saying over the phone, or due to their not explaining it sufficiently-- the timing of the delivery was not communicated correctly. On the whole, it was difficult to get a straight answer from these people on delivery times (whether it be Jack, Merry, or the other guy). In order to truly get their customer service to a decent level in this regard, they will need to do some research on google regarding estimated delivery times, and then break up their days into "morning", "afternoon", and "early evening" delivery windows. All major "last mile shipping companies" (example: XPO Logistics), and many other wood flooring suppliers (example: Porcelanosa, Lowes, Home Depot, IKEA) provide a "delivery window" that usually spans 3 or 4 hours. Delivery The delivery was missing 2 cases. Jack did give me a heads up about that, and he did so on the actual day of the delivery itself. This unfortunately meant that I had to schedule a second delivery on a different day. Since I live in a co-op, this is a big deal because I need to clear the delivery time slot with the building, and that takes up my time to make phone calls, and if the date I request isn't available then I need to go back and forth between the shipper and he co-op to come to an agreement. In the end I was able to get an exception to receive the weekend delivery, but this is still not a good experience. Plus, they tried to make me pay yet another "deposit" for the second delivery, even though I already paid a deposit for the entire order. Both drivers were very courteous and professional. All cases of wood flooring material were in perfect condition. They only do "curb-side delivery."There is no receipt unless you specifically request it, even it's a C.O.D. Price They are superior to all other suppliers that we researched in Queens and Manhattan (we didn't check other boroughs). I would be very surprised if you can find a better price anywhere else. My wife and I have a specific budget we want to hit with our renovation, and purchasing wood flooring from K F Flooring made it all possible. Final Thoughts Price was the most important factor for us, so K F Flooring was the best thing for us. The competition that we researched was not even close! If your schedule is flexible, you're good to go, but if not, their uncertain delivery times may not work for you. Plus, you may need to keep on top of them to make sure they don't "forget" to call you a few days prior. Buy your transition pieces WITH your INITIAL order, otherwise you may never get them. My tenant move out and I need to fix the entire penthouse quickly so I can rent out the condo fast. I went to Home Depot and found out it was very crowed, unable to get any help, price was average. SO, we decided to leave and come back on none weekend. I saw K F Flooring from the parking lot and decided to give it a try. Boy, we are so lucky. I ask we need floor for two bedrooms and sand down the living room. They immediately called an contractor to come over to the store. I am very surprised, because its Sunday afternoon. Who works on Sunday. We drove back to our penthouse, estimate on the spot. The contractor is very knowledge. He knows what he is doing. We ended up hired him to handle the entire condo. Painting the 18 feet high apartment post a challenge. Install floors, bathroom vanity, electrical works... Back to K F Flooring, ordering is a walk in the park. Price was very competitive. They are honor owners, we ended up not only getting the floor from them, we got the paints and other items from them instead from Home Depot. We do not even need to pickup or deliver to the condo. The contractor will go there and get them for us. Today, we went to Home Depot again and got two bathroom vanity. Its very big and heavy. Jack even let us left them in his shop so our contractor can pick them up the next morning. This extra step they did for their customers really make us definitely shop at K F Flooring again and again and again. K.F. Flooring is near the Home Depot, I saw this store when I was parking in the Home Depot. At first, I just stopped by and wanted to get some ideas for my new house. They have many brands of the floor, also, products variety complete. As far as I have shopped by now, the store is biggest so I could choose the best floor for me. They also sell tile there. I bought the Nickle Maple floors and my wife likes them very much. The delivered in three days, it pretty fast compares with other stores. Although it is a new store, salesmen there are very professional and gave me many advices. Came here to get hardwood flooring for our rental unit. We found KF Flooring has very reasonable prices for hardwood floors. They have many options and if they have them in stock, delivery can be scheduled pretty quickly (3 days). I even added 5 more boxes the same morning, and they were able to accommodate. This is a store full with dishonesty and unfairness because this was my worst purchasing experience for anything ever . I paid for the delivery fee as well as the deposit when I purchased new floor tiles and bathroom tiles from this store. However, after they delivered the tiles to the ground floor of my apartment they refused to send them up to my apartment unit (even my building is an elevator building) and stated I need to send it up myself. This is very ridiculous because they did not stated that I needed to carry the tiles up to my unit by myself when I purchased the tiles at their store and the thing was I already paid them a delivery fee. So I refused to accept the tiles since they refused to send them up to my unit. What made the experience even worst was that I also asked for the refund of my deposit but they refused to refund it to me. This is extremely outraged. I wouldn't purchased from their store at the beginning IF they did told me that they do not carry the tiles up to my unit. Why wasted my time and money? They think they could get away from their dishonesty and unfairness and step down a consumer like me, They are wrong and I am going to report my worst purchasing experience with this store and fight for my consumer rights to the very last read more
