When we removed the paper the day before our move-in date, I noticed a strange spot on the front edge. Upon closer inspection, it became clear that it was a large chip in the granite edge that had been poorly repaired. Considering the tile work has already been completed, I am now exploring legal options to hold Unity Tiles accountable for selling and installing a damaged -- and then patched -- granite countertop. The workers are also pretty much not available; they just sit behind the counter looking busy. If you have a higher budget, I definitely recommend this place. They couldn't create 1/8 slope on the shower sills so I needed to have them done somewhere else. Eric said company policy won't allow Swan to drop off the sills next door at De Luxe Cabinetry and Tiles. On the day of installation, workers came without a shower bench. Then all of a sudden, the company policy allows them to drop it off next door. When I measured after the trapezoid bench top arrived, I realized Swan polished the wrong side. Eric and his manager were unwilling to recut another piece or provide any form of compensation. This trapezoid bench top was already sloped. Swan only offered to polish the other side. But what good is that? It's already sloped. Even before it was sloped, polishing the other side and then cut flat the polished side would have made the bench top too small as it was measure as an exact fit!!

After attempting to negotiate the small item with her a couple of times because YOU CAN negotiate in these stores in flushing, she decided to block me and not answer me at all. I got in touch with my contractor to see if her number changed and he spoke to her and told me she didn't like that i negotiated and decided to block me.Mind you the final counter I was trying to purchase from her was $170 and you would think she could lower it by $20-30 knowing i'm a returning customer and have sent a few customers her way. I called today to speak to her and tell her how unprofessional it was and she got pretty loud and told me she's hanging up on me. I would like to take this to the owner because that was terrible but apparently he's on vacation for a few weeks. I highly recommend checking out other cabinet stores where they remain professional instead of blocking you.
