We used Cosmo for our kitchen remodel in July 2018. The marble stone we selected was beautiful. The men who came to install were very polite and professional. But I am very disappointed with the customer service. A few days before the installation, I got a call from a woman who worked there asking if I wanted the countertops to be polished or honed. I told her I wanted them polished, and she proceeded to tell me that honed was better because it protected the stone better. Since she was the professional, I mistakenly believed her and had them honed. Within a week of the counters being installed, I had multiple stains on the countertops. Mind you, I am a super neat freak and sprayed them down with marble cleaner immediately after any kind of food prep. A little spill of raw egg over the edge of my bowl as I beat them, left a ring. A drop of juice from a mandarin orange fruit cup went down the side, left the exact imprint of the bottom of the cup. A tiny bit of red sauce on the edge of the jar dropped down the side, immediate stain. This was just the FIRST WEEK. Now, 1.5 years later, they are filled with stains. I am too afraid to prep any food on them and I end up prepping most food on my stove top, unless it is on, which is insanely frustrating as we remodeled in a way to double our countertop space, and now I can't even use it without it staining. I recently called and asked about this, and the woman told me it was my fault that I haven't had it resealed. I tried explaining multiple times that the staining started the day they were installed and she continued to cut me off repeating that it's been a year and a half and they should have been resealed at a year, which is a moot point since they were staining day 1. I again asked about honed vs polished, mentioning that the person on the phone convinced me to have them honed even though I had requested polished, and she continued to back herself up that honed protected the stone better. A quick google search will prove that this is a complete lie. I also asked the woman about the cost of resealing. She asked me to email her a picture of my countertop so she could see the size and would give me a quote back. This was weeks ago and I never got a response. VERY disappointed with the lying that goes on here, the fact that they will not admit their own fault at misguiding me, and won't even respond to me with a quote, even though what they really SHOULD do is fix the mistake they made in the first place and polish my countertops for me now as I asked to have done in the first place.
