Didn't visit Union Street. I visited the new location on Old Lebanon Road in Donelson. We walked in and were barely greeted by the unconcerned cashier. He wasn't friendly and didn't seem to care if anyone bought anything or if we had questions. Prices for some albums were ridiculously laughable (White Snake $90). I found many albums in the wrong classifications. I do realize people are lazy and like to just put merchandise wherever the decide to when they change their mind. That doesn't constitute as much as I saw out of place. Meanwhile, the checked out cashier didn't look up once from whatever social media site he was scrolling through. This place looked more like a goodwill than a record shop. Just didn't smell of old shoes. Happy I didn't buy anything. Wouldn't want the cashier to actually do any substantive work. read more

Lots of used records, mostly country and classic rock, found several cool 45s, the help is super cool and knowledgeable.

We found this place by driving by the menu board outside. I could not find it in a web search. Really small record shop. The person we talked to was very helpful and attentive. Seemed knowledgeable and passionate. read more

I ordered an item from here in CA, and the item was marked as NM, but 3/4 LPs were horribly scratched and scuffed, which also resulted in skipping and loud popping. I was very disappointed because this was a gift for Mother's Day; however, when calling to follow-up from my email, a representative was extremely apologetic and simply refunded the cost. The person I spoke with told me customer service was more important than me trying to send the damaged vinyl back, and I was grateful for his help and his willingness to refund me the cost of the vinyl, and I appreciated that. I've never had issues with ordering any of the 6-7 LPs I've ordered online, from states as far as NY, but it's unfortunate. I'm still out on the gift for Mother's Day, but the willingness of the employee to try and make it right was greatly appreciated and I'm not opposed to shopping from this place in the future if the deal is right. read more

Great local record store in downtown Nashville. Lots of vinyl new and used - RSD location coming soon, t-shirts, and other music related stuff. Great website to view their inventory! Keith, one of the owners was just opening up and starting his day. We chatted with him for a while as I browsed - he was very helpful and had a good varied collection of old, and new 180gram pressings. There were a few titles I was looking for and he went online to determine if they could be ordered (they could) so he is able to order if they are out of something you are looking for. See photo's posted for an idea of his shop, it is in the massive building on corner of 3rd and Union ... on the 3rd side, there are 4 steps you walk down to get to his shop (down the hall once you get inside). Look for his big colorful "clap board" he has on sidewalk. This is a nice place to stop in while you are in town to grab a vinyl and/or support your local business if you live nearby. Such a true hidddn gem. I called ahead after visiting the african American museum of music for some vinyls. What was neat is the owner didn't have what I was looking for in the shop but did in his warehouse so he actually went on a hunt for it. Also while I was there there were a few vinyls I had never heard before the cashier was so nice and offered to play them for me so I could make a selection. This is the biggest vinyl selection I have ever seen and they are all priced reasonably ranging from $5-$30. read more

Don't bother ordering anything from them online. I ordered a record for a birthday gift. After two weeks of no update I emailed asking where my order was. A week went by before I received an email back stating they would look into it. Its now been a month and they emailed me to let me know it was out of stock and the order would be canceled. If the order had been places weeks ago it wouldn't have been out of stock. Very disappointed in this place, don't bother ordering online. read more

i ordered a vinyl from swaggie records and never received it. I reached out to to the company via email to resolve the issue, which is the only means to reach customer service I could find- three times to no avail. I can understand complications in shipping and I'd claim it was the worst customer service I've ever received, however the customer service was non-existent. if I could rate this company with zero stars, I'd have done it. read more
