I ordered an item from here in CA, and the item was marked as NM, but 3/4 LPs were horribly scratched and scuffed, which also resulted in skipping and loud popping. I was very disappointed because this was a gift for Mother's Day; however, when calling to follow-up from my email, a representative was extremely apologetic and simply refunded the cost. The person I spoke with told me customer service was more important than me trying to send the damaged vinyl back, and I was grateful for his help and his willingness to refund me the cost of the vinyl, and I appreciated that. I've never had issues with ordering any of the 6-7 LPs I've ordered online, from states as far as NY, but it's unfortunate. I'm still out on the gift for Mother's Day, but the willingness of the employee to try and make it right was greatly appreciated and I'm not opposed to shopping from this place in the future if the deal is right.

Great local record store in downtown Nashville. Lots of vinyl new and used - RSD location coming soon, t-shirts, and other music related stuff. Great website to view their inventory! Keith, one of the owners was just opening up and starting his day. We chatted with him for a while as I browsed - he was very helpful and had a good varied collection of old, and new 180gram pressings. There were a few titles I was looking for and he went online to determine if they could be ordered (they could) so he is able to order if they are out of something you are looking for. See photo's posted for an idea of his shop, it is in the massive building on corner of 3rd and Union ... on the 3rd side, there are 4 steps you walk down to get to his shop (down the hall once you get inside). Look for his big colorful "clap board" he has on sidewalk. This is a nice place to stop in while you are in town to grab a vinyl and/or support your local business if you live nearby. Thank you Keith for a nice introduction to your shop and business - he also sells on line so check out swaggierecords.com for a good idea of his inventory and to purchase on line if that's your thing. (use coupon code 10PCOFF to get 10% off your first online order ... your welcome!).

Little difficult to find. Pretty good selection of new and used records at reasonable prices.

The staff and owners radiate friendliness, acceptance, and hospitality to all whom walk through the door. The shop is located on a side street in East Nashville, in what looks to be an old house. Therefore, parking is limited at times. I have come here 2-3 before, and they have a great selection of wide-stream music and local artists as well. The inside is filled with records and CD's filling shelves, bins, walls, and even the mantle of a fireplace. They also have a small stage and area to host events and live music inside. This year, We came here for Record Store Day 2024, and it was such a great event. We decided to come by around lunch time. They had vendors, food trucks, and live music set up around the shop. They were limiting the amount of people in the room with the RSD Titles; therefore, we waited in line for an hour to get into the store. That being said, this allowed for everyone to look through the bins leisurely. The staff and even the other customers were all so friendly! It was such a great experience, and we made so many memories this RSD! Support your local record store, and visit The Groove.

If you love this place, then you totally understand the hype to it however, if you're like me and…read moreyou were introduced to this from another person who absolutely adores it, but you don't care for places like this you find it confusing. So this is a massive bookstore, music store, video store, toy store that specializes in buying used items and reselling them. So if you have an aversion to musty dirty used items, this is not your place. Which I happen to have. However, this is not McKay's fault. It is a great place to offload things you don't need and get a little cash on the side. I have a touch of sensory bias, which is why it's difficult for me to enjoy it. But I totally understand why others do. If you are planning on selling stuff, make sure you get there early. If not, when they open there will be a line not of people wanting to sell stuff just people wanting to get in there to check out anything new that came in the night before. It is always busy so do not expect to come and it not be packed. If that is an issue for you probably not your place. But a big plus is the parking lot is absolutely massive. You will find a parking spot regardless of how busy it is. And to that I give it five stars.

There's no pricing system based on book condition, which would be nice. You may find a book in fair condition and pay the same amount for the same book in excellent condition. Customer service was great as always.
