Seeing as I'm not made of money and expecting a baby, I diligently checked my bank account first and sure enough there it was, a debit for $33. The woman still wouldn't let me have my seat, even after showing her the charge on my bank account, and insisted I come back the next day so the manager could deal with it. She told me this happens a lot so I don't trust going back and using my card again, and I work a full day the next day and don't have more time to waste on this. Not only are your targeted clientele shopping at your store for a bargain because we're trying to save money, but we also don't appreciate being asked to charge our card twice when the money is already gone. my husband even tried calling and speaking to the owner only to be told the same thing. So I left without my seat and without my $33. I don't have infinite time to go back and forth to their hard-to-get-into location right off busy Main st, so it's unfortunate we couldn't come to a solution over the phone with the owner. Consider it a donation I guess, but I will never be back. Ridiculous!!

I also purchased a necklace that unfortunately broke within a few hours and I couldn't drive back because I was from out of town and flying back to Boston the next day. I called the store and April ( who was wonderful) helped me. She shipped me a brand new one to Boston and no extra charge. I'm wearing the necklace now and I'm absolutely in love. We drove from Durham for the appointment and unfortunately, upon entry, were received with abysmal service and (lack of) interaction with the staff. No one greeted us in or even acknowledged our existence until one lady finally stated, "you my 3 o'clock?" As she proceeded to keep walking into the back before we could respond. She later returned and sat at the jewelry station staring down at her phone and continued to ignore us. Needless to say we left immediately. It's really disappointing, especially when you want to support a local business and do something special with your twin.

Today while running errands, I stopped in and asked how to make an appointment for consignment. She looked me up and down and said they don't take just anyone's clothes and tossed a four page pamphlet at me with a list of clothes they don't want, designers they don't want, and how to properly clean and present cloths to them. The whole thing seemed very harsh and abrasive. When I told her what items I had she was like "well I'm booked until June so you can try back then." I was floored. The store is extremely dated looking despite the requirement for "in style" fashions. I will not be back to shop or consign here. I do not recommend them whatsoever.
