I'm trying a new restaurant in Spanish Fork that's open on sunday and avoiding a drive to another Indian restaurant in Provo which I normally go to when I'm in town. I've heard this restaurant is superior compared to the one I usually go to. The goat curry was fantastic, very hard to cook goat curry bad. The saag paneer was made too blended for my liking, I like the spinach to be less blended and paneer to be cut up in chunks about half the size they make it. The curry was creamier than I like but it was still good but not to my liking. The hostesses and servers were very attentive and pretty darn fantastic. The interior was decorated very nicely but if you've read my reviews, you know I could care less about the ambiance, it's the food I care about. Just on a side note, I wished that the east Indians would change their serving style to bowls and chopsticks, the plates tend to cool the food much too quick. This will certainly be my go to place in the future!

The food was gone so fast I couldn't even get a picture! It was so yummy!! The naan was perfectly cooked and the service was super fast for a very busy Friday night! The owners were so pleasant and nice with great recommendations. The restaurant was clean and well lit and the music was not loud it was great! Will be back down all the way from PG again!

Veg / Gluten-Thai Basil Fried Rice with egg and Shrimp

Hello fellow yelpers, just tried Swad Cabin and was not disappointed confirming the rating on Yelp is accurate. Unlike the fast food joints that surround and ooze unhealthy food in Spanish Fork, Swad takes a step in the right direction with authentic prepared cuisine made to order. If you are looking for a quick dinner, this place is not for you. My first attempt here shortly after they opened was thwarted due to staffing issues and decided to come back at a later date once they worked out the kinks! Had two dishes, 1st was Veg / Gluten-Thai Basil Fried Rice with egg and Shrimp. 2nd was Veg / Gluten-Burnt Garlic Fried Rice with egg and chicken. Similar dishes with different seasonings. The rice was amazing, perfectly seasoned, light, fluffy and cooked to my satisfaction. You can't find Fried Rice like this most anywhere because too many establishments cut corners to save money or don't know what they are doing leaving out all of the ingredients that made Fried rice great 40-50 years ago. The Basil and Burnt garlic spices were just right. Both the Chicken $2 and Shrimp $3 are add on proteins and were chopped into little chunks looking breaded but actually they seem to have a brown fried / seared look about them. While nice, I think they could be larger chunks to get the full effect e.g. texture and flavor. The other protein added was Egg $1 that is required from my perspective & opinion for the dish to be called "Fried Rice" and should be a fundamental ingredient at no extra charge. The service was friendly, the ambiance was relaxing and place clean. Bottom line is this review is most likely a 5, but I reserve this rating after at least 2 visits and trying other menu items.

Chicken chettinad

Great new local restaurant- My daughter told me about this new little restaurant in Spanish Fork, so my husband and I tried it last night. It's so awesome to have a family owned business instead of another chain come in. It's located next to the Walmart family market. If you like Indian food, this place is great!! Service is great. Place is clean. Pricing is similar to other restaurants. It was fairly busy already with tons of people coming to get take out. I had the chicken chettinad and it was yummy. There is a kids menu and a few items for those who aren't fond of Indian food. #smallbusinesssupportingsmallbusiness https://www.swadcabin.com/menu/

My paneer pasanda in the middle, plate of paratha further back, garlic naan on the right, and butter chicken in the upper right.

This is a great Indian (and other Indo-Chinese cuisine) restaurant. It's a clean, beautiful space. The employees were all very kind and helpful. The food itself was excellent. I especially loved the flat breads (garlic naan and paratha), which had great flavor and texture. They were seriously some of the best I've ever had in a restaurant in this state. I got the paneer pasanda, and my mom got the mango chicken. Both had excellent flavor. The mango chicken was made with dark meat, which I prefer and is more authentic. If I had to nitpick: the paneer pasanda, while excellently assembled and prepared, was a tad sweet for my tastes. I experienced palate fatigue by the end. It is typically a more sweet dish, however. I also would've loved to choose from a wider variety of Indian breads (I especially love roti and puri). If I also could choose, I would rather have a more expansive Indian menu than having all the Indo-Chinese offerings. But, to each their own. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back with my own family, as we love Indian food and it's amazing to have a great option so close to us, finally.

Plain Paratha

The fish curry was perfectly cooked with a silky coconut sauce. The paratha was the best I've ever had. It almost tasted like a circular croissant, made fresh to order. The place was clean and the service was fast.

Amazing!! The food is always incredible. Both the Mango and Strawberry Lassi's were great. My…read morefavorite is the Chicken Makhani (Butter Chicken) but Tikka Masala was also popular at our table. My family loves the Vegetable Samosas with the Mint Chutney as well. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, and the owner was a pleasure as he walls around and chatted with everyone. He wanted to make sure we were eating our Naan first while it was hot, and then focus on the rice afterwards. (Advice that changed my life, I was always a rice first sort of guy). The tables didn't feel too tight, it definitely gets loud with the dinner rush but nothing more than you would expect. Such an awesome place with great flavor! I loved reviewing restaurants in Logan, but there's only so much up there... now that we've moved to Utah County I'm excited to get back into the food scene! All that to say excuse my lack of pictures, I'm a little rusty haha. But trust me when I say this was awesome food!!

Came in at about 7:30 pm, and finally got seated at 8:10. It was a very busy day, so I expected the…read moreservice to be slow, which It was at times, but still very attentive to every need. The tables and floors were clean, and the seats were comfortable and intimate. I ordered the medium Bollywood chicken that I heard a random patron rave about in the waiting area while my husband got the mild Chicken Tikka Masala. Both dishes were delicious, full of flavor and the meat was incredibly tender. We also got a serving of the garlic naan, which was good, but I've had better. Total came out to be a very respectable amount after everything we ordered, but not offering free refills feels like a stingy decision. Overall, I absolutely recommend the Bollywood chicken (but feel free to skip on the garlic naan and get a different side). I'm totally coming back and getting a mango lassi!

Govinda's Buffet - Everything on the salad bar was vibrant, fresh, and delicious.

My colleague and I were driving back from a work trip towards the SLC airport and we stopped in at…read moreGovinda's. Each items on their buffet was wholesome AND delicious. Understand and accept a) that it's a vegetarian buffet, b) you can get a completely balanced meal with all the protein and nutrients you need, and c) you don't have to be Hare Krishna to enjoy their buffet. We showed up there at about 5 PM. The people working there were very nice and welcoming. I recommend the halvah--which is a wheat-based dessert dish. It was sweet and delicious with a pleasant thick texture (like clumpier cream-of-wheat). Everything in their salad bar looked so fresh, and they put out some honeydew that they told me they grew there. I thought I'd give it a try, though I dislike honeydew in general--but the color was so vibrant and it looked juicy. It was unlike any honeydew I've ever tasted; the grocery store honeydew is trash compared to what they were serving. It literally tasted like honey. It was a small but varied buffet. The mung bean soup was bright and tangy--so good. There was something that was either pan-fried yucca or sweet potato; whatever it was was starchy but kind of sweet. I kept going back to the halvah. Outside there were llamas, peacocks, trees, parrots, a koi pond. The people working there welcomed us to walk around, hang out, visit their service (which started at 6, but we declined), to do whatever we wanted to relax. It was a great way to decompress and eat a healthy, nutritious meal while traveling.
