I called to notify the office that I was running late. I said I could be there in about five minutes. I arrived in roughly seven minutes and waited at the front desk for several more minutes. I was told they changed their minds and no longer wanted to honor my appointment. They offered me to wait in the store to see if anyone didn't show up for appointments later in the day instead. I would not recommend using this office. They don't care about patients, it's just a business. read more

Filed complaint with SVS outcome was they upsold them lenses to the tune of $444.00 plus what they received from VSP. My research shows that had they purchased the same lenses online from eyebuydirect.com the lenses out of pocket would have $264. 00 with frames. They did nothing for my parents except say they could come in and redo the glasses. Their insurance gives them to return the glasses and go someplace else. I'm going recommend they return the glasses and purchase through eyeconic.com. If you have VSP vision insurance please VSP.com and find an alternative to SVS or better yet us eyeconic.com to purchase your glasses, they are directly linked to your vision insurance. In fact I recommend you check with your vision insurance to to see if they offer any online options, if you do not have VSP. That's what I will be doing as my husband and myself usually buy 2 to 4 pair of glasses a year from SVS - never again! SVS Vision Optical, Wixom MI: They took advantage of my elderly parent 80 and 79. Their insurance requires them to go to SVS. They had a bad experience in Waterford MI and tried Wixom. They went in to get one new glasses for my mother and the cost out of pocket was over $400.00 dollars. I have no clue what they received from the insurance. Not once did they go over the bill or what additional items they upgraded. I found out after the fact and cannot rectify the situation. I plan to file multiple reviews and contact BCBSM. I've always gotten the best service and care SVS Vision in Wixom. Samantha is very professional and friendly so helpful in picking out frames and the follow-up is exceptional. I like that the staff all wear masks and are practicing social distancing. Dr. Leslie James is the best!! The staff are very nice and friendly. The reason for 4 stars is, that after having my glasses adjusted 2x they still aren't right and are now causing my left ear to hurt. I do however think it is more difficult to get a good fit while wearing a mask. read more

I tried to get an appointment for the Wixom office to get glasses and when you call it says you have to go on line to make an appointment, when you go on line to make an appointment, it tells you that you must call to make an appointment. So, again i called, many many times. No one answers the phone. This place is very messed up and its best you to someplace else. I think the good reviews of this dump are fake. read more

I went to SVS Vision on Wixom Rd. on Saturday June 27, 2020 at 1:30pm. When I arrived there was a sign on the door that said, "Maximum Capacity 8". When I walked in, there were only three: one customer, a receptionist and an eye glass specialist. I wanted to try on some new glasses but was told they had a capacity of 8 people. I told this receptionist there are only a total of three people here. Then I was told I had to make an appointment and, that I would only be given 30 minutes to try on their glasses, then I would have to leave. This was the most bizarre retail experience I have witnessed in my life. I think they were discriminating. read more

I would highly recommend this store to purchase eyewear. My husband and myself have come here for our glasses the past few years and have been very satisfied with the glasses and customer service. This year Samantha has helped us. We have been in a few times for adjustments on our new glasses and she has never hesitated to help us out. read more

Horrible. This is the worst Eye Care facility I have ever been too. The manager there is useless. They called said my contacts were in, I went to pick them up. The office manager says" Oops I accidentally returned them" Ok so they reorder. I go to pick them up again they ordered the wrong prescription. I am a plus prescription they ordered a minus. Staff was extremely rude and dr wasn't very knowledgeable and lacked any sense of caring. He appeared to want to get me in and out asap. I came in for a routine exam and was told my prescription increased slightly and that I have dry eyes. What I found out after my visit in my own research and after consulting my ob/gyn was that due to me being pregnant and the hormones it can cause dry eyes and irritation as well as blurred vision. So now I have already ordered and been wearing new contacts in the stronger prescription which seems sort of negligent due to the fact that my eyes haven't really regressed at all but rather are experiencing a side effect of the pregnancy. You would think the dr would of known this was a side effect of pregnancy but I guess not. This is the 3rd SVS I have been to...I've been to the one in Waterford and the one in Okemos and I had wonderful experiences. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this specific location. read more
