She spent so much time with me picking out frames and being honest about if she liked them and they suited my face or not and she didn't try to pressure me into the most expensive glasses either they were upfront and honest about how much each pair cost before I even tried them on. I was worried when it became americas best not eyeglass world anymore but they are still great and priced about the same. Also a week after I got my new glasses Ally called me and asked how I liked them and that if I had any issues at all with how they were fitting I could come in and they would fix them for free. They really do go the extra mile here and are the best!

I came here today for an eye exam, it was my first time here but it's where my husband goes and he…read morerecommends it. I used to see an ophthalmologist in Birmingham, but our insurance doesn't cover it and it's a little bit far of a drive now for me anyways. I have a condition where my eyes are cone-shaped; because of that, Visionworks recommended me going to a specialist. If I constantly have to go to this place and the specialist, I probably will not go to this place, but we'll see. I thought the eye exam was thorough and well done. Our insurance covers $300 for frames so I ordered some new glasses, my current ones are probably five years old or older so I definitely need a new pair. I was already in the area so I arrived for my appointment a bit early. My husband arrived five or 10 minutes late one time and they turned him away so be aware that they are pretty punctual. My guess is because I think they just have the one doctor for eye exams. They had a nice selection of glasses as well, if you're looking to get new glasses. I would return to this location, but I will admit I missed my old ophthalmologist and the nice waiting room, etc.

The lady working…read morethere messed up my glasses by putting an old prescription and then I had to go back 3 times to get the glasses. When I arrived to pick up the glasses there were people waiting for their appointments that they were waiting for, for almost half an hour. No "sorry we will be right with you" not even eye contact, nothing. Had to wait for a while.

They no longer carry my fave brand of glasses. The previously excellent front staff have been replaced by people who can't find previous exam files, or even report on the latest fashion trends. They are unorganized and chatter incessantly about nothing. I was on time for my appointment, but had to wait. After the first level eye check, instead of going directly into the optometrist check, they sent me back to the front to wait longer. When I finally was able to see the optometrist, she was rude and got offended enough to need a "time out" after being asked to clarify a vague question. You couldn't pay me enough to go back to this store.

The Warby Parker selection is quite broad in that they have several options for very narrow faces. Often, this requires kid frames to fit, but not here! Local business, I guess that's the theme I kind of adopted. This place certainly fits the bill…read more It's an eyeglass shop... And an ice skating shop.. And they have three golden retrievers roaming around looking for free pets and snuggles. Small business, owners always on site, lots of one on one help. Doctor is in on Fridays so plan accordingly and business hours are reflective of the owners being the employees ( I'd close early on Saturday too). Lots of selection! Each time we go I find something different that looks cute on me. I joked that I'd like to go there just try to try on specs. There's little candy dishes everywhere that I like to take advantage of and at the door there's a little toy section to entertain the kiddies. I love these play areas, it reminds of a candy shop my mom used to buy supply at and I would play with the "little people's" house and get a sugar treat on the way out. I don't mind the dogs roaming around, but if you have allergies keep it in mind. Cons, can't really find one. Insurance covered our visit so I won't complain about that here. Can't speak to the ice skating side of it either but a family friend of ours is a part of the GC skating club and they frequent here. Hope to "peep" you here, pun intended!!!
