I followed the Yelp recommendation and used the services of Dr. Picard/his awful staff. I ordered…read moreglasses December 29, 2020 with the understanding I will have them in 2 weeks. First, I had to go back because Stacy forgot to measure my face/ear for the glasses. That was the start of this NIGHTMARE! Second, after waiting 3-4 weeks, I inquired about the my glasses and they claimed that the lab sent my glasses broken. One week later, Stacy called to tell me that I am jinxed because this time the lab sent completely wrong glasses. Finally on February 5, I was told I can pick up my glasses. On February 6, I went to get my glasses only to learn that the left lens is off, explaining my blurred vision when I worn them. OMG, it is a simple order. The staff lies, deflects, misdirects and avoid taking any responsibility. I regret going there. BTW, I still don't have the glasses which between myself and my insurance company, have paid Picard over $500. This place is awful. They offer no solutions, JUST PROBLEMS!

Treated us like family!…read more My parent's were visiting from out of town and my dad ripped his contact. Unfortunately he had also forgotten his glasses. We visited two other eye care places (one I was a previous client of) first and both very rudely told us that they couldn't help us (one didn't even bother looking at the prescription his doctor emailed him before turning us away). Picard helped us with no hesitation; I'm not even a client of theirs! In fact, they went above and beyond as they were about too close and still went out of their way to help us. They gave us a trial pair of contact lenses and a free solution. I can't begin to express how much they helped my family enjoy a better weekend and did it without hesitation. Finding a place like this when so many others didn't even give us a second thought was so refreshing.

I have never been pressured into classes or items that I didn't want. I never want the latest fads and the staff always helps me pick out the most flattering lenses for whatever style I want. Do make sure you ask about prices and coverage, per your insurance before selecting. They are always more than happy to work with me and my budget, which has varied over the years. They are not mind readers. To the reviewer who didn't want their eyes dilated and has been wearing glasses her whole life, if you have sunglasses or transitions, you can drive home with dilated eyes. I found that strange that someone who has been getting her eyes checked her whole life would not know that, and not know that you get your eyes dilated during an exam. Or not know to bring sunglasses to her eye appt. Also, could ask for disposable sunglasses you can slip over your glasses, I'm sure they have them. Just weird.

So I came here a couple times to try on glasses frames. Let me tell you..... Dean is a star! The…read moremoment I opened the door, he was so happy to get me started. I soon found out that Dean is a personal stylist there and he does a fantastic job connecting with people and helping them find the perfect pair of glasses. You can really tell he enjoys his job! The African American woman, hands down love her! She's down to earth, funny, personable, and also connects to customers very well. The manager, shes lovely and very welcoming too. The only odd ball of the group is Alan, one of the opticians. He's one of those "one of these things is not like the other". They sat me down with him so he could input my info, and it was like talking to an automation machine. To be honest, it doesn't seem like he fits with the culture there. I'm asking him questions about what my vision insurance covers and he's giving non detailed answers and kept asking if I wanted to finalize and purchase. Almost like he didn't want to be there and trying to end the conversation. Major turn off. I was so happy when I walked away from his table. Nobody wants to deal with that negative space. One bad apple shouldn't ruin the overall bushel so I'm going to keep the 5 stars listed because everybody else was amazing and really made me enjoy my glasses hunting experience.

That said, I would give the process of order glasses a 1 star. If you get a prescription here, I highly recommend ordering your glasses/contacts somewhere else. I paid extra for thinner lenses, but when they arrived, they were not thin, the office sent them back to have the edges buffed and when they came back they looked like a carnival mirror. I was given two options go back to the original pair (and thickness) or pay extra again for the lab to use a laser. This was confusing because I had originally been told that the lenses I was ordering were the thinnest option available. After paying the additional fee the lenses came back no thinner than the original. The glasses were very overpriced for the quality and experience. I would not recommend.

I feel super comfortable asking her any questions and she is great answering and explaining anything to me. The downsides of this place include the very expensive choices of glasses (everything is pretty much designer and does not have any variety) and they are bad at scheduling appointments. I have never been seen in a timely manner and the estimates for appointment lengths are very off. I was told that a contact fitting should take 15 minutes and twice I have waited about 40 minutes before I was even seen and then another 20.
