I said I would just get me regular glasses so I was then told I could get the 2 pairs for under $400. They tried to scam me out of over $400. I was told it would be three weeks so I waited four, called and told my glasses were in. They claimed they called and texted me 9 days earlier so I checked my phone. No missed call, no deleted voicemail or text. I even checked my deleted voicemails & texts (on an iPhone you can go back 30 days) nothing there. I went to pick up my glasses, service was very poor and then told only one pair available. I said forget it and the wanted to charge me 20% restocking. I became discussed ask to speak to a manager and was told she was not there and no one was in charge. This begins to explain why my experience was so poor. After a lot of complaining I got my refund (in full). I would never do business with the organization as they try to rip you off every chance they get. LET THE BUYER BEWARE.

Sure enough, the glasses I had (and the three different lenses sold to me between two different locations) couldn't improve my vision, because there's nothing wrong with my vision. Here, they're not in the business of selling designer frames and disposable contacts, and the difference is like night and day. I just wish I had come sooner. That's not all, though. Just the other morning, I noticed blood in one of my eyes. Alarmed, I called and explained what was going on. Two and a half hours after my call, I was in the doctor's chair, getting checked out. Lucky me, it wasn't a big deal. But, knowing I could call with a concern like that and be seen so quickly was really comforting. Need glasses? Get them at one of the boutiques in Milford. Treated like a number; Waste of my time and money…read more SUMMARY Informed Lake Lazer (3) separate times prior and during my appointment of a long-standing issue with my left eye; Was given an exam and glasses that immediately gave me a migraine behind my left eye; Got a second opinion and found that the prescription was grossly wrong, and somehow had both mis-diagnosed my left eye AND ignored my telling them; Asked for a refund and was shown the NO REFUND POLICY that I had signed. Only bright side is that I was only getting glasses, and not LASIK! (I tried to give the full story, but was limited on characters, so....) Here are some of my takeaways from Lake Lazer of Milford: - The entire experience made me feel like I was cattle being pushed through. The morning of the appointment, I had been asked to come in early, as they were ahead of schedule, but then after the exam, waited for over half an hour for the ophthalmologist, with an assistant apologizing three times, finally confiding, "I don't know what's taking so long." After he did see me, honestly, I could not pick his face out of a six-person lineup, as his back was to me the entirety of his 3-5 minutes in my presence. Unfortunately, it is like many physician practices lately, where it is purely about the number of patients that can be seen in a day, and not by the quality of care provided. This is evidenced by the fact that I indicated to their staff (and him explicitly), THREE separate times that my left eye has a long standing issue, and NOBODY happened to notice that they put my left and right eye as being identical. - They view THEIR time as being more valuable than YOUR time. When I first asked for a refund, the office manager told me, "I wish you would have spoken to me earlier... I *often* have to tell patients that the initial eye exam might be off and that they need to re-test." (WTAF?) I couldn't believe what I was hearing. So, I googled, "How accurate are eye exams?" and google's response was "Eye exams are extremely accurate, if performed by properly trained staff, and with adequate time so as not to be rushed." By the matter-of-fact way that they OFTEN have to have patients re-test, indicates that they do not adequately train their assistants, nor do they care about YOUR time, because if they get it wrong, well, YOU just come back in and expend another hour of your life. They're at work anyways, what does it matter to them? Personally, I am a small business owner, and when people waste MY time, especially with no sign of remorse, it irritates me to no end. - They are more focused on the $$$ than the individual This is pretty obvious to me, because everything that has been said in this review, has been said to the office manager, and in rational, logical, non-emotional ways. I paid for an exam that was faulty, and glasses that were faulty. I got a second opinion, and proper care, from another source. I don't see why I need to be monetarily penalized for their incompetence. If I find that MY company has failed to provide adequate service, then MY company is going to give a refund. It seems like that is common logic. Why this is not the case for Lake Lazer can only be speculated. Learn from my mistakes. Instead, go see an optometrist that talks to you face-to-face and whose sole focus is 20/20 vision.

This shop carries both beautiful and unique home items along with just about every kitchen gadget you can think of. And their service is unbelievable. Every time I go in there, and my most recent visit was no exception, the staff ALWAYS helps me above and beyond the call of duty. And that's pretty amazing considering that the place is always busy! Only thing I think might bother some people is that the pricing is not discounted. And yet, I personally go out of my way to purchase things here because I like having this store in our community. Oh, this year they had something called 5th Saturday (or something like that) and for any month that had a 5th Saturday, you could go in on that day and fill a bag (that they give you) with things that are then discounted by I think 20%, but I'm not certain. My point is that they are trying to find ways to offer opportunities to reward their good customers and I love that too! The only problem occurred after we got our candles home and started to burn them. We paid extra to get the Fire Glass/Crystal candles. When we finished they were gorgeous! But once got home and we lit our candles, the Fire Glass started sinking into the wax. After blowing out the candle and it cooled, you could no longer see the Fire Glass! The only way to see it is to light it again, but it no longer sparkles like it did when we first made the candle. This is such a disappointment! We all wish that they had let us know this would happen, before we all paid the extra $$ for the Fire Glass!
