This is for a first-time take-out visit. First is the…read moreappetizer we chose. It was a lamb chop pop and it was the best thing we ate. It came with 4 chops and a strange side that couldn't be quite identified. It was sort of like a bread product shaped like a triangle, very dry and an unpleasant texture for us. The excellent chop saved the day. One main course was the pork ribs. The serving was very generous, the meat so tender it literally did fall off all the bones, and the smoky flavor quite good. The pulled pork sandwich was generously filled and had the same smoky flavor. The sides chosen were potato salad and beans. The beans were okay but did taste like canned ones and had very little meat in them. The potato salad was fine for those who like theirs with big chunks of potato, but we prefer a smoother potato. It was a disappointment. The desserts chosen were both a huge disappointment. The peach cobbler tasted like canned peaches and had a very off-putting flavor. The apple bread pudding was literally almost all bread and had far too large chunks of the bread rather than preferred small pieces. As for the apple, it could not be tasted at all and we only found one very small piece of apple in the large serving. I will say that the Cinnamon ice cream that came with the pudding was delicious and at least gave us one decent sweet item. All in all, we might try again (especially for the lamb chops) but will not be in any hurry.

Dave was very timely during the delivery and even brought chafing dishes to keep the food warm. We went off menu and ordered "trays/lbs" of food. The pulled pork and chicken were amazing. We had an employee try the sweet potato souffle for the first time and loved the "dessert" option :) Very happy to support this local business.

Food quality is top notch. I selected the beef taco bar and chicken taco bar (from their catering menu). The food traveled about thirty minutes to me for delivery (Thanks Jordan !) and everything arrived not only perfectly on time but presentation and quality were top notch. Chicken was very flavorful and not dried out at all (been there before with other places) and the beef was solid as well. The taco bar comes with all of your expected toppings, but the sour cream was in a league of its own. Clearly home made and delivered awesome flavor. Friends and fam couldn't get enough of this food spread. Chips were great too! I'd highly recommend for anybody hosting a medium to large sized group. (We had 35 for this party and had some leftovers ) I'd also highly recommend the churro cookies as an add on. Holy crap those things are good. Communication with Nancy was effortless and pleasant during the planning process.

On entering there were a small number of booths and some tables. It was lunch time and I expected the place to be hopping, but patronage was steady. We were brought the requisite complimentary salsa and chips. Both were acceptable with the salsa having a slight kick. We ordered an unsweet tea and a raspberry tea. They looked to come from a fountain dispenser but I found it nicely brewed and was offered a refill. The menu was extensive with a lengthy list of lunch specials. I asked to substitute a green chicken chili enchilada for a cheese enchilada and was refused. This is the sole reason for taking away a star. I ended up with 2 cheese enchiladas with a sweet green chili sauce. The rice and beans were both very nice. The enchiladas were tasty. The total for both meals and 2 teas with tax was, wait for it... $21! Yes, just $21 so I ended up tipping just over 30%. The tip went into a tip jar I guess they will split. We were attended by 3 servers, all very nice and attentive. If not for the unwillingness to substitute cheese for chicken on the enchilada this little eatery could get 5 stars for everything else they did well. We left very satisfied and very glad we found a little place to patronize for Cinco de Mayo.
