It came with 4 chops and a strange side that couldn't be quite identified. It was sort of like a bread product shaped like a triangle, very dry and an unpleasant texture for us. The excellent chop saved the day. One main course was the pork ribs. The serving was very generous, the meat so tender it literally did fall off all the bones, and the smoky flavor quite good. The pulled pork sandwich was generously filled and had the same smoky flavor. The sides chosen were potato salad and beans. The beans were okay but did taste like canned ones and had very little meat in them. The potato salad was fine for those who like theirs with big chunks of potato, but we prefer a smoother potato. It was a disappointment. The desserts chosen were both a huge disappointment. The peach cobbler tasted like canned peaches and had a very off-putting flavor. The apple bread pudding was literally almost all bread and had far too large chunks of the bread rather than preferred small pieces. As for the apple, it could not be tasted at all and we only found one very small piece of apple in the large serving. I will say that the Cinnamon ice cream that came with the pudding was delicious and at least gave us one decent sweet item. All in all, we might try again (especially for the lamb chops) but will not be in any hurry.

What a nice find! Nestled into the corner of a strip mall, this upscale BBQ restaurant took me by…read moresurprise. I find a lot of bbq in PA isn't much to write about. However, this place was great for me. I asked what was smoked that day and was told brisket is fresh every day and pulled chicken and ribs had just come off, so that's what I ordered. Let's break this down! The brisket was juicy with a nice dry dark bark crust. The meat was incredibly tender, breaking apart on my fork. A little fatty that didn't render but that's part of brisket. The rub really set off the flavor of the meat and I did not add any sauce to it, it simply wasn't needed. The chicken was my favorite meat. Served with no sauce, it was evident it was sitting in its own juices and that kept it moist. With chicken being so easy to dry out, this was great. The meat had great flavor and was oh so tender and juicy. I did try out some of their sauces with this and decided the smoky bbq spoke to me. My only negative of this joint came from the ribs. As I take my first bite, I have to pull something tough and get slapped in the chin by it. Say it isn't so! You leave the membrane on? Why oh why would you do that, nobody wants to eat membrane! Such a disappointment as the ribs were cooked well and the meat was tasty, although definitely the driest of the three I tried. For sides I had the street corn and the potato salad. I loved the salad, tons of flavor. The street corn was a miss for me as I did like the corn itself but when I'd grab a feta crumble in with it I did not enjoy the combination. The waitress brought me some greens to try as she could tell I didn't dig the corn and I ended up loving them. When you can pack that much flavor into greens it's a winner in my book. Speaking of the waitress, she's the reason this is five star for me. I was going with four star because of the membrane on the ribs however she is great and deserves a shout out. So kind from the moment I walked in, checking on me, making sure I enjoyed everything, and wanting to make it right if I didn't. She seemed to care so much about the business I thought she was an owner, turns out she's just proud of the place that she works at. Kudos miss, I'm sorry I didn't catch your name but you said you were the only server so it shouldn't be too hard to figure out who I'm talking about. Thank you for such a pleasant meal and experience, I'll be back for sure!
