Absolutely superb! We had an incredible experience here. The food was absolutely delicious--the Quiche Lorraine, the Prosciutto and cheese crepe, and the chocolate croissant were all outstanding, perfectly complemented by the mimosas. Beyond the amazing food, what really stood out was the owner's exceptional attention to service and genuine friendliness. It truly made our visit memorable. We are so lucky to have this gem in Chula Vista. Highly recommended! Un petit mot en français: C'était un repas absolument magnifique ! Merci pour l'accueil si chaleureux et la cuisine délicieuse. Nous reviendrons très bientôt !

Came here on Mother's Day morning as soon as it opened. There were only 2 other tables with customers seated inside and 1 table with customers seated outside. Although there appeared to be 3 staff working the cafe, only 1 appeared to be taking orders. We ordered a the berrie and chantilly crepe to share as they did. It have the ingredients for the crepe Suzette. We also ordered a croque monsieur to share also. The food was EXCELLENT however the service was extremely slow...it took a very long time just to get water at the table and even longer for the coffee and food. Pricing is on the higher end of the table.

Absolutely incredible Sunday breakfast. Highly recommend both the Salmon Crepe with a farm fresh egg and the Croque Madame was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. We enjoyed an in-house baked Croissant Cinnamon roll that was a touch sweet with just the right amount of cinnamon rolled inside. Service is outstanding, ambience with the hand painted light fixtures and overall vibe is like a Paris cafe', highly recommend sitting outside to truly feel like Paris. Suzette's is a definite must, you won't be disappointed. Bon Appetite! #Jeromestillgotit

This is nice little French Cafe just getting under way. I had a ham and cheese croissant and a Cafe au lait for breakfast. The cafe au lait was quite good. It was smooth and rich and came nicely presented in a wide cup. The ham and cheese croissant was tasty. It came with a decent amount of ham, however I did not like the way they chopped it up. Also, they need to make sure they clean the griddle between cooking sessions, because the ham picked up some that black burnt food from the griddle. The croissant was soft and butter with a touch of flakiness. The meal came with a small side salad with greens, tomatoes, and vinaigrette. A touch of freshly ground black pepper would have been nice. The service was good. They also make crepes here.

Such a darling addition to 3rd Avenue! Suzette is super cute, inside and out. I absolutely love all the hand-painted floral light fixtures. The staff was friendly and service was great. I had the bacon and egg crêpe (it also has cheese) and my husband had the ham and cheese crêpe. Both were delicious. We really liked the zippy vinaigrette on the salad. They also make good coffee. They're going to be adding buckwheat crêpes to the menu and I can't wait to try them.

Had the most lovely Friday morning here. Enjoyed a cinnamon roll croissant and a chocolate croissant followed by quiche Lorraine and a prosciutto manchego aurugula. crepe. We also indulged on a lovely white wine and apple mimosas. Everything was a 10 out 10. The servers were so kind and took the time to chat with us a little. Prices were great for the authentic French experience in San Diego. Will definitley be back!

Suzette on Third Avenue in Chula Vista is a gem. I've been three times and every visit has been fantastic--it feels like a cozy little French bistro right on the avenue. The cappuccino is one of the best I've had anywhere. The croissants are delicious, and the crêpe Suzette is amazing. Everything is thoughtfully crafted and the quality shows. Relaxed, welcoming vibe with nice outdoor seating - charming neighborhood spot. I'll definitely be back. thanks Jerome

New spot on 3rd ave Chula Vista so decided to step in and see what they recommended. Was greeted by Adrian (I believe that was his name) and he had great suggestions I went with the classic latte and salmon crêpe. The latte was yummy and the salmon crêpe was very savory! The ambiance was cute very picturesque and would've stayed to eat there but wasn't planning on it since I was just going for my morning walk/jog. But so glad I stopped by it was delish! I know they're just starting up but they note have their menu (pictured) so I'm excited to come back and try something else!

We stopped here on a whim and it was a wonderful happenstance! The food was delicious, wait staff attentive and personable, and the decorations were beautifully done. We had the Suzette Crepes, a Butter Croissant with Avocado, Ham, and Japanese Mayo, and Caramel Machiattos. Everything was delicious! Definitely a great place for a French café experience

The latte was amazing and my omelette was also amazing, I really loved the type of bacon they use for the omelette. The staff is very friendly and they will answer any of your questions. Another thing I enjoyed was the music they were playing during my breakfasts. My wife had the chocolate croissant and she really liked it. We spoke with the owner and were informed this is a very soft opening. At the end of February they will be serving full breakfast options and dinner. We are excited to go back and try their breakfast and dinner.

Et Voila's version with the pappardelle was outstanding. The freshly made pasta, not only added great texture, but also flavor. It prepared just right, too. The Cabernet sauce was excellent and offered a great depth of flavors. The dish also came with tender carrots, sweet pearl onions, and white mushrooms. All of them were perfect. The beef was rendered down beautifully and had great color and was very tender to the touch. The beef offered exceptional preparation and was an absolute pleasure to eat with the Cabernet sauce. Well done chef. I was treated to a house soufflé which was excellent. It hit all the notes: light, soft, and airy, but packed with flavor. The sauce that came along with it was very good. My friends, who are regulars here, were very pleased with their dishes as well. I have to say, both of their dishes looked amazing. The hospitality at this French Bistro is first rate. All the employees, including the owner, were very amiable and welcoming. They aim to provide an excellent dining experience and that's what they do. The food were amazing and delicious we started with Soup à l'oignon which was great then the raviolis aux champignons which was also amazing but we wished that it would be much more warmer... We then followed by steak frites aux poivre, we asked it medium rare not cut and sauce on the side and it was perfect it comes with brocolis and green beans in the side with french fries and ask for ketchup and aïoli which was yummy as well! We wanted to make it a french dinner so we also ordered a chessboard after the main course! We were so glad that we ordered one entrée as we could have not made it to the dessert if we were to do the cheeseboard and dessert as well! After the cheeseboard we ordered the profiteroles for dessert and a Cappuccino! The dinner birthday was a success I do recommend it for people that are looking for an authentic french restaurant! Cons were the ambiance it was a little bit loud and also they weren't giving any complimentary birthday dessert also, the bread at the beginning were delicious but if you want a refill they will charge you for it. We brought a bottle of red wine which was free corkage since we also ordered a bottle of white from their menu. But the corkage fee would be $45! Overall we had a wonderful time! And I highly recommend it for the food!

Along with the four courses they gave complimentary alcohol free wine, a tuna amuse bouche, milk bread with avocado butter and finishing desserts. For our four courses ($120 per person) I had: lamb tartare, uni, pork and strawberry passion fruit meringue. My husband got yellowtail, trout, quail and chocolate dessert. Our favorites were the quail and strawberry passion fruit meringue. Service was very lovely. The waitstaff was super kind and attentive and explained each dish as it was brought to us. This restaurant is a fun experience overall for special occasions. I really enjoyed being sat at a table that had a view of the kitchen and we enjoyed watching the kitchen operate during dinner. Only cons were: there's a 4% service added on (in addition to tip and standard tax) and unfortunately we both had tummy troubles after which I wouldn't have expected from a nice place like this.

The reason for that is that they are a very small restaurant, and seem to have a regular following in the community. On weekends, reservations fill up quickly, Anyway, I I was able to secure reservations at last and met up with two of my friends on a Friday night in December. It was quite the rainy night. Luckily, I found free parking easily nearby, as perhaps, the rain was keeping the crowds away. Once I stepped inside, the restaurant had a cozy European and vintage feel. The walls had black an white photographs of France, and the bar looks like it was straight out of an old movie. I absolutely loved the decor. I was greeted quickly as I walked in. I was the first or our party to arrive. I was given water and a menu, and the server checked to see if I needed anything else. Once my friends arrived, they were met with the same level of attentive service. With this particular group of friends, we generally share each dish so that we can taste a variety. Here the menu is small. I can appreciate a small menu, as it became apparent that each dish is treated with attention. However, it was a bit challenging to find dishes that we would all enjoy off of the small menu, due to our variety of preferences. We decided to start with the pâte and the rillettes de saumon ( an indulgent salmon spread). Both were served with baguette and butter. For our entrees, we had the truite amandine (almond trout) and the short rib. Honestly, all of the food had so much flavor and was perfectly cooked. I cannot comment on the pâte, as I did not try it. However, it was all I could do not to fill up on the salmon and baguette while trying to save room for the entrees. The trout was delicate and flavorful. The short rib was bold and melted in our mouths. For drinks, I chose the rose petal martini followed by a Cote de Rhone with my dinner. The rose petal martini was good and had fresh pomegranate, but I wish it had a stronger rose water/ rose petal flavor. My friend had a passion fruit spritz. I tasted it and appreciated the abundant fresh passion fruit. I really enjoyed the Cote de Rhone with my dinner. All throughout, the service was excellent. We were always checked upon, but never rushed. Even when we requested our leftovers to go, they held the bag in the kitchen, and gave it to us when we were ready to leave. All in all, this restaurant had great ambiance, excellent service, and delicious food. Make a reservation... if not, you will miss out!

The staff accommodated us at the bar with two seats after someone kindly scooted over. Food:The salmon was genuinely delicious - perfectly crispy skin, juicy flavorful tomatoes, and great execution overall. My date enjoyed her salad as well. For dessert, we both had the crème brûlée, which was good but smaller than expected and caramelized almost all the way through, leaving less of the creamy custard I was hoping for. The decaf coffee was excellent. My main complaint is portion size - I left still feeling a bit hungry after a $100+ meal (salmon, salad, two desserts, drinks). Service: The bartender was respectful and patient, clearly trying not to interrupt our conversation. However, this went a bit too far - I had to flag him down each time we needed something, which slowed our meal considerably when I was focused on my date. Atmosphere: Cozy and intimate with a living room vibe that actually worked well for a first date. The downside? It was uncomfortably warm despite the rainy evening outside, and the space is tight enough that you can hear neighboring conversations clearly. Value: At $100 for two people (no alcohol, one salad), it's priced at a premium level. While the food quality was there, the service and portions didn't quite match the price point for me. Would I return? Probably not - there are other restaurants in this price range that deliver more complete experiences. That said, if you don't mind the cost and value intimate ambiance over attentive service, it might work for you.
