The husband & I have been loving Vica's Cafe so much we had to bring the parentals for breakfast after church. They needed to experience their wonderful food too!! What the hubby & I shared: *Steak & Eggs *Pancakes De Naranja As always the service, music & vibes were top notch. Our steak plate was delicious. The chimichurri sauce they use on the steak was a nice touch. The pancakes were tasty but a little on the dry side. Overall we all had a great time. The parentals were happy we shared this location with them. We can't wait to try some of their other menu items....

Came here on a whim because our other breakfast spot was packed - Did a quick search on Yelp & found this spot! It looks like this place is pretty new based on their Yelp business profile. The cafe has a shared private lot with other businesses. The business itself is very aesthetic & PINK! My favorite color. So I was definitely in love when I saw the interior. IG/social media worthy place to take photos. Everything comes out so aesthetically cute. The one thing that stood out to me the most during our entire visit though - was our waitress, HAZEL! Young, bubbly, friendly, professional, & high energy vibes. Which just makes you wanna match her energy. She made us feel comfy the second we walked in. She provided her recommendations & made sure we were taken care of the entire time. We'd visit here again based on her service alone. We ordered the birria omelette with a side of panela, birria chilaquiles, a mazapán coffee, lemonade, & sprite. Everything came out quickly! They had chili oil on our table with salt & pepper. We LOVE our spice. So the chili oil, without needed to ask was chef's kiss. My husband enjoyed his food & finished everything. My birria omelette was delish! The mazapán iced coffee was also great! Definitely a hidden gem! Can't wait to return to try other menu items.

Came back to bring my inlaws. For Sunday breakfast. Arlett and staff. Was amazing and helpful explaining things for my inlaws. We all had a great time. There was another family celebrating a birthday . They are a great place for all occasions. Played music had a sparkler. This is a must try.

The place was nice with new pink and grey decor. The food was delicious. I had the Mexican Eggs Benedict. It had a lot of flavor and the sides of potatoes and beans were on point. The service was good with attentive staff. I would definitely come back again!

Cute find in San Diego! We ordered the Birria Omelette and the Birria Chilaquiles... both were delicious!! The Birria was cooked perfectly! Juicy, tender and very generous! Only thing is the frijoles were a little cold and the papas needed seasoning for flavor... other than that service was friendly, the cafe de olla was piping hot and everything tasted delicious!

Wow. The savory plate I ate I will be BACK for. A creamy chilaquiles with steak added. Omg. Now the Dubai pancakes didn't match the photo I saw and I was looking forward to the small pancakes sadly. But even that they did look good but just didn't really vibe with them. I also got the mazapan coffee, omg so good. I'll be bringing my grandma and friends here asap. The service was good too no complaints there. It was busy when we came. Hats off and a bow to the chef! ‍

Such a cute pink girly breakfast spot! The waitresses are very kind and attentive. I had the birriaquiles and it was very filling and had great flavor. I wish there was more drink variety. But I was really pleased with the food and customer service!

We got there early before the crowd hit on a Saturday morning. Service was great, food presentation and taste were awesome. The service was nice, beautiful ladies are the servers. Definitely love the pink vibe and entrance.

    Elote pancakes

Took 45 minutes for my order it wasn't even busy . 2 pancakes for $17 over priced. The chorizo had a strong taste of vinegar

We decided to try this new restaurant for breakfast and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious and the staff were very nice! We will be back!

I was in town looking for a good brunch spot and came across Cocina de Barrio on Yelp. The food looked delicious, but let me tell you... it tasted like home. You know that scene in Ratatouille when the food critic takes that first bite and is instantly transported back to his childhood? That was me. The sauces, the flavors, the textures... everything was absolutely magnificent. It was honestly so hard to choose what I wanted. I would happily pay extra for a buffet here! Hint, hint! I ordered the Oaxaqueño Breakfast, with nopales (cactus) cooked into the eggs with salsa, paired with refried beans and potatoes. Can we just take a moment to give some serious compliments to the chef?! Every bite was packed with flavor. I also paired my breakfast with a Café de Olla, and I loved that it wasn't overly sweet. I enjoy my cafecito, and this one was just right. The ambience is colorful, vibrant, and beautifully filled with greenery, which made the whole experience even better. everyone was very welcoming and friendly Overall, Cocina de Barrio was such a wonderful find. I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes the next time I'm in town. 10/10 -- my taste buds definitely felt at home.
