Food quality/taste- food is good, good flavor, good portions, good presentation. Location- location needs some work, they occupy three different locations side by side, one is only coffee & burritos, the middle one is additional seating for the sit down restaurant. We were sat in the middle location where it was very lonely, just a few other diners, no music, it was extremely hot air conditioning was not on and the mini split unit needs to be serviced it was dirty. I feel the walls between the locations should be opened up and make one large place. If you need to use the restrooms, you need to go outside and go into the primary dinning location to do so. Parking-on street not bad for middle of downtown Chula Vista Customer Service-Also needs some work, I only saw one server working. Food selection is good, but if you want coffee from the coffee location you need to get up and go buy it next door, again this is a very weird set up. Water is only available in bottles. I believe with some slight changes this place can be great.

Enmoladas recommended by server. OMG! So delicious! Best molecular I've ever had. Hochata yummy! Will be back.

Okay okay this place needs to be praised!!! I am a huge skeptic when It comes to chilaquiles. This place was all that those poblano chilaqueles were so full of flavor. Each crunchy bite loaded with sour cream, onions and cilantro. The machaca burrito was also just as good. I enjoyed every bite today breakfast was a huge hit. We originally came here to try the pancakes and got to try so much goodness. The pancakes were perfection. Oh and an honorable mention for that powder sugar on the bacon. Another note the french toast latte was also a nice surprise. The cold cream tasted like horchata. Today I we were happy happy leaving with our bellies full.

Mole Enmoladas

I have eaten here a few times already and the food never disappoints me. The mole chilaquiles is what brings me back time and time again. The flavor notes of the mole is rich, nutty, & deep giving it an authentic taste of Mexican cuisine. Their hummingbird pancakes are delicious and fluffy as well as their carrot cake pancakes. Service has always been lovely and I hope this gem of a cafe stays here in Chula. *tip - they do charge for water bottles - no on tap*

Every item we ordered was delicious even the salsa. Cute atmosphere & friendly service. We ordered the combo plate chilaquiles & burrito. The portions are big so ladies we can share with another person. We added side of bacon & beans. They have a walk up match spot as seen in the photos I posted.

I recently visited Mujer Divina with my sisters. I have been here a few times in the past and, to be honest, some of my previous visits were not the best experiences. At one point the team reached out and invited me to come back, and when I did, everything was wonderful. Unfortunately, this recent visit reminded me why I don't come here often. There is a lot of competition in the area, so it was disappointing to see the restaurant refuse a complimentary glass of tap water to paying customers--especially customers who spent over $50 on food and drinks. Instead, we were told we had to purchase bottled water, which was over $3 per bottle. Even for guests spending much less, offering tap water when requested is a simple gesture of hospitality. While I understand that California law does not require establishments that do not serve alcohol to provide free water, it is still something many businesses choose to do as a basic courtesy. As someone who previously owned a business, I would never deny water to a customer. Charging over $3 for water after customers have already spent a significant amount on food and drinks felt unnecessary and left a poor impression. Additionally, during our visit I saw at least 20 potential customers walk in and leave because employees were telling them the food would take 30-40 minutes. While it's understandable to inform guests about longer wait times, the way it was communicated seemed discouraging rather than welcoming. We decided to stay and enjoyed our Mazapán coffees and burritos, which were good. However, the overall experience--including being charged over $3 for water--makes it unlikely that I will return.

Place is really busy but quick on food! We came in around 10 am and there were only 2 seats left and maybe 10 mins after there was a ton of people waiting. I noticed they helped the family that came after us before we took our order so that's why I deducted 1 star. Our server also kept forgetting to bring water that was ordered. I ordered the Mujer Divina plate without beans since I don't like beans. My friend ordered a French toast which he devoured pretty quick. It's safe to say he really enjoyed it as he cleaned his plate. My meal was good. I really enjoyed the machaca burrito. It was my first time eating a machaca burrito and it did not disappoint. I need to try another place to see if that's what is supposed to to taste like or a comparison. However as far as the chilaquiles tasted, I wish it was a little more crispier. I guess I'm just used to crispy chilaquiles from like Cocina 35!! Would I come back? Yes 100% I also want to try their new matcha shop next door that recently opened.

Super cute place on third ave, I ended up coming on a week day and it was empty. But the food did not disappoint! The staff was really nice and I regret not getting her name to give a shout out. Drinks - I got the matcha, classic, if you are snobby about your matcha, they have a matcha place attached next door! Food: we got an omelette, banana foster French toast and a ham sandwich. The highlight honestly was the sandwich! They put a fig jam they make in house and it was... just *chefs kiss*. The omelette was okay, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't my favorite. The French toast was also good and very rich/desserty. Ambiance was very instagrammable

Staff was really nice and accommodating of our party of 9. The chilaquiles and was really good. Gotta try their French toast, so fluffy. The place is small and quaint but staff is nice, be prepared to wait on weekends.

Gosh, the food at the restaurant is delicious, with healthy portions and the perfect price point. Joana, our service, was very kind and accommodating. She made our visit very enjoyable. She politely shared that the cafe does not make adjustments to the menu items but there's lots to choose from. Since I don't each meat, she suggested the burnt butter pancakes with maple syrup and Lox toast. Damn.... those dishes were sinfully delicious. We will need to return for pictures, because we immediately start eating when the food arrived. ENJOY!

Honey & Cinnamon Latte, lemon grass matcha, & French Toast Latte

Make sure to read the signs! I almost walked into the building next door also owned by Mujer Divina which only sells burritos and coffee. We had a lovely experience. We ordered the lox and toast, the Mujer Divina plate (which comes with a machaca burrito and chilaquiles), and the enmoladas, everything was so tasty and our food came out quick. The coffee drinks were also amazing. We tried the honey & cinnamon latte, lemongrass matcha, and iced French toast latte. Our waitress Fernanda was super kind and attentive. Can't wait to go back!

Keeping this short and to the point, the food was good but not $65 for two ppl kind of good but what was really disappointing was the service...we had issues with our table being lopsided so we had been trying to take care of it by using the napkins that were on the table but it wasn't working. I asked the server if she could give us more napkins to try and fix the problem, she seemed to be annoyed I was even asking. Every single time she came back to the table she had a smug look on her face and looked like it was more of a bother to serve us, I don't know if that's because I wasn't speaking in Spanish to her, she was speaking in Spanish to me and I would answer back in English, but that's because that's what I'm most comfortable with. She wasn't this way with everybody else that was around us when she was talking to them, but they were answering her back in Spanish. I also found it very disappointing that when they serve you your coffee on the café side, they bring it to you still in a plastic to go cup as if you were on the coffee shop side. Also, you cannot get a glass of water in a regular glass, you have to pay for a bottle of water at the café. The Chilaquiles themselves were very good, the brown buttered pancakes were good but not unique. My expectation of this was that it was going to be more of a café, but I felt it was just an extension of the coffee shop. I found it awkward also to sit directly across from a walk in refrigerator.

This place exceeded every one of them. Nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood, Wolf in the Woods feels like a hidden European café you'd stumble upon while traveling. Sitting outside beneath the umbrellas with a cocktail, watching the neighborhood stroll by. It felt like a little corner cafe in Paris. Then the food arrived. Every plate was beautifully presented, but the real magic was in the creativity of the flavors. The combinations were unexpected, yet every one worked. Every dish had me wondering how on earth someone came up with these pairings in the first place. The Sweet Corn & Piñon Soup deserves a standing ovation. We literally stopped talking after the first spoonful. Rich, savory, slightly sweet, comforting and completely unexpected all at the same time. Both of our eyes rolled back in our heads. The Beef Tataki completely surprised me. The outside had a delicate seared crust, the inside cut like butter, and the citrus pairing made me rethink what flavors belong together. And the mushroom and polenta dish? The mushrooms had an incredible texture--like savory little pieces of mushroom jerky. I would have happily bought a pound of them just to snack on. Every dish felt like it was taking me somewhere I'd never been before, yet somehow felt familiar at the same time. Wolf in the Woods creates an unforgettable experience.

My fiancé told me we were having dinner the two of us, and the hostess played right into the lovely surprise before escorting us to their private room where our friends and family waited for us. The room was decorated stunningly, my family was able to bring in photos and florals to personalize the space, and provide the sweetest area to celebrate the most special moment of my life! We had a few appetizers that's were DELICIOUS - omg I am dreaming about those short rib croquettes. My other absolute favorite was the French onion tart, and the Wagyu tartare was so unique and yummy! Special shoutout to Jorge and Marjory, they not only made delicious drinks quickly and efficiently for around 35-40 guests all night, they were kind, professional, and made me feel so truly special all night long! My grandpa (in grandpa fashion) made his rounds around not only our private room, but the whole restaurant, and told me when he comes back to visit, he wants to come to Wormwood 2 nights in a row! The bar area was nice, the music was good but the lighting is a little too dark and yellow. We started off with cocktails and ordered 2 apps, the wings and the Brussel sprouts. When the drinks came out, my wife's Chardonnay had what seemed like broken glass at the bottom and the flavor was off so we switched it for a Pinot Grigio. I had a Cool Hand Lucy, I wasn't a fan. It was a little too sweet for my taste. The appetizers showed up soon after and the Brussel sprouts were delicious but the cashew crusted wings looked a lot better than they tasted. The wings seemed pre-fried and fired up again when ordered, making them dry. The flavors were a little weird too, imagine sweet and sour with cashew crumbs. We won't be ordering that next time. My wife got The sea bass and I the châteaubriand as it was a chef special. However, I would have not ordered it if I had known before hand that this was a platter to share, something the waiter didn't mention which would have been helpful. My wife liked her sea bass. It was cooked perfectly. My meal was a disappointment. The filet was sliced so thin it reminded me of cold cuts spread over a bed of arugula with potato wedges, $120. The flavor was good but I would have like my steak to be sliced thicker. When i think about my experience at the Red Door, I feel that almost of what fell short was due to our server. My wife's Chardonnay, my meal and even my cocktail were things that the waiter did or suggested. Overall, I felt like they missed the mark. If we do come back, we will probably sit in the main dining room and make sure to ask a lot of questions when ordering.

For groups larger than 7, they require a prix fixe menu (5 or 7 courses) with the option to add a wine pairing. We went with the 5 course + wine pairing, which included a welcome drink (gin + cucumber based and very refreshing). The pairing was supposed to include four wines, but we only ended up getting one red and one white with refills which was a bit of a bummer. That said, the red ended up being one of my favorites from the entire trip, so partial win there. Food: absolutely delicious. Everything came out family style, beautifully plated, and perfect for sharing with a big group. No complaints on flavor or execution! 4 stars (and not 5): a few frustrating misses for a high end spot. First... they were out of tequila. In Valle. At this restaurant. What? Lol. Second, we were required to select our main entree in advance (choices were rock fish or suckling pig), only to get a call about an hour before our reservation saying neither would be available. The replacements were a fish (I think salmon?) and pork belly. Don't get me wrong both were good but last min menu changes like that shouldn't really happen at this level. All that said, still a great experience overall. I would come back with a smaller group so I can actually order my own meal and avoid the prix fixe surprises.
