The place is pretty small and not necessarily the prettiest, and I can imagine there being a long wait on weekends or holiday weekends. But honestly, don't let that discourage you! The service was amazing everyone was so friendly, fast, and attentive. Even though it was busy, our food and drinks came out really quickly. I had the Teddy Bear Latte, and it was so cute! Even the ice was shaped like a little teddy bear, which was such a fun touch. We also tried the chilaquiles with matcha, and they were really good! For me, though, the lattes are the real reason I would come back. They're creative, delicious, and definitely worth trying. Small place, but great service and some really fun drinks!

Such a cutsie little gem! Came to El Encanto with my daughter and son and everything was delicious. My daughter and I both got the Chilaquiles Rojas with machaca, two over-medium eggs, and potatoes. You could tell the potatoes were never frozen, the tortillas were freshly fried, and the beans were on point. We shared a 1/2 order of pancakes and WOW... some of the fluffiest pancakes ever. They came with bacon and were honestly my favorite thing we ordered. My son got the French toast which was really good too -- maybe not as amazing as the pancakes, but I'd still order them again. (Of course I tasted everything .) My daughter's banana latte was scrumptious and perfectly balanced without tasting artificial. Overall, such a cozy hidden gem with fresh, flavorful food. Definitely coming back!

The interior is beautiful, and the staff worked quickly to get everyone's food out despite how busy it was. Every dish we ordered was delicious, and we'd happily order them again. This place actually looks bigger from the inside. I think it's cause of the way this sticks out of the side of the building. It looks like it might end where the corner is, but it extends all the way in. Note that it still fills up quick on the weekends. Very cute interior, coffee, cups, everything. The menu looks like graphic design was someone's passion, although I low key wonder if AI was used. The mazapan latte was a bit too creamy for me, but as someone that usually takes their coffee black, that's probably my fault for ordering something like that. The scrambled eggs were fluffy, and I like how they were mixed in. The cheese was a nice touch. Sometimes, I think refried beans + potato is too dry, but these beans were not as thick and the potato was also surprisingly soft and warm. It also came with some nice tortillas. Finally, a shout-out for this special hot sauce. It's deceptively hot for how sweet and syrupy it looks and feels. Quite tasty. I wouldn't mind purchasing a bottle of this.
Encantado en conocerte. This place is cute. It's a little hole in the wall, small restaurant, but they have some pretty good crepes. Prices are a bit steep, but the staff is very friendly and was accommodating to our large group. Please support this business. Foof presentation is also pretty. Hence the 4 stars!
Came here for breakfast on our way to the beach just a 10 min drive to the beach from here. This place has so much charm and character it was adorable for the decor to the ice bear in my iced mocha. Coffee was delicious and so was my waffle platter. I was craving a good waffle and this came with banana and strawberries. It was so delicious my husband got steak and potato's and my daughter got an egg plate both said their food was tasty and they would order again. The service was great very attentive came and checked on us frequently. This is a small restaurant so be prepared to wait the parking lot is small as well there was a parking attendant who helped find the right spot. If you don't speak Spanish let them know because they will first speak Spanish and then if you need English they will speak to you in English.
Not sure why this place has such great reviews. For starters it was so hot inside we were sweating the entire duration of brunch. I ordered the À La Mexicana scramble and it was so bland everything needed more than a touch of salt and perhaps some love. The AI menu was comical and also tacky. I will say the Lotus Latte was the star of the show. Service started out pretty good but faltered towards the end of our brunch, which was so inconvenient because it was SO HOT. We just wanted to get out of there.
The service was kinda slow here, the bacon we got with the waffle platter were burnt, they did bring out another 4 pieces for us, but were still too crispy.. there was only 1 person making the drinks so that took a while too. I did want to try the pancakes cause they looked like little souffle ones!

We came on a Saturday and waited about 30 minutes to be seated--and let me be clear: this was not a wait, this was worthy anticipation. The interior alone is was everything! With Valentine's Day around the corner, the place is dressed like it's about to propose--warm, charming, cozy, and flirting with your serotonin. I started with the banana matcha, which arrived crowned with the cutest little bear ice cube I have ever seen in my life. I'm talking weaponized cute. The flavor? Smooth, balanced, lightly sweet, and comforting in a way that made me feel emotionally supported. I didn't just drink it--I healed. Then came the machaca. Listen. This dish did to me what that scene in Ratatouille did to that critic--except instead of a French childhood flashback, I was spiritually transported to a Mexican tia's kitchen I'm not even sure I've lived in. Deeply savory, perfectly seasoned, rich without being heavy. Every bite whispered, "You've been hungry for this your whole life." My husband ordered the huevos divorciados, but they were so good we convinced them to give their marriage another shot. Perfectly cooked eggs, sauces with actual personality, and a harmony so strong it felt like couples therapy on a plate. And then--the salsa. Served warm, spicy, and oil-based (the holy trinity), presented in a literal swan container. A SWAN. Regal. Dramatic. Slightly unhinged in the best way. I would've signed a lease for that salsa. The only tragedy of the entire experience is that I got full. Genuinely devastating. I would've happily kept eating until they had to roll me out wrapped in Valentine's decor. El Encanto isn't just delicious--it's joyful, playful, soulful, and absolutely worth every minute of the wait. I'll be back, hungrier and emotionally prepared next time. I've been here several times and the food is consistently amazing. The service - I would say, the older gentleman at the front has the BEST customer service out of anyone else there. He greets everyone, he conversates, checks in with the folks who are waiting- he's great. At our last visit, our waiter became noticeably agitated because he didn't understand parts of my order request and had to repeat things. Clearly there was a language barrier but I didn't mind, I'm patient. Well - apparently he did mind and just decided it was better to avoid our table of 2. We had to ask for water. We had to ask for utensils. He never came back to our table once until we were finished and I asked for the bill. Other than that, I love this little hidden gem and am super excited for their relocation into downtown next month!

The Mazapán Latte is absolutely delicious! The bear on top is the cutest thing I've ever seen and experienced. My parents first took me to Encanto for my birthday breakfast in 2025, ever since then me and my mom have came back every Friday for brunch, we made so many memories with the very nice employees, they are all very attentive and funny and attentive, I love them all and will miss them all at this location. read more

Obsessed with this place! My banana latte was amazing. The cute bear shaped ice was so pretty and the food was so good. I will definitely be coming back! The service was top tier. My friend brought her puppy and they brought out treats and water for him. They don't rush you once you finish your food and it's very cute inside. It does seem like a busy spot so definitely come early or make reservations if possible. Prices were great too! read more

I brought my wife to El Encanto because of their Teddy Bear Lattes. We enjoyed a Lotus Latte and a Latte de Olla and for food we ordered the chilaquiles verdes con arrachera and an egg and some avocado toast. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. We will definitely be back soon. read more

Adorable quaint restaurant located next to a local market. Arrived at 10:30 on a weekday and there was no wait but I did need to park in the back as most of the open parking is reserved for market. The menu is brunch with options for all. I highly recommend an iced coffee or tea as it comes with a large teddy bear ice cube and a fresh flower. While the restaurant is decorated nice, and the food was good, I would really attribute the five stars to the level of service the server provided. read more

OMG!!Absolutely loved the Teddy Bear Matcha! It was so cute and honestly tasted just as good as it looked. The matcha was creamy, smooth, and had a really nice balance of sweetness without being overwhelming. The service was amazing. The staff member Luis was very helpful and friendly. All the food and drinks that we got were very delicious. The place had a great ambiance overall super chill. I will definitely be coming back when I'm down here in San Diego. This is becoming one of my new favorite spots to come get breakfast at. Chilaquiles are really delicious, i got the red ones and added chorizo and eggs as well. We also tried the bistec ranchero which is really flavorful. The banana latte is really yummy and delicious. The ambiance is great, food is great and good portions, staff are attentive and really nice. French toast is super yummy as well. read more
We found this place online & liked the Christmas decor they had. The inside is a bit small but there is plenty of tables. We only waited 10 mins to be seated. We ordered the french toast & pancakes platter and the machaca plate. They had good portions for the price. The french toast was delicious & the pancakes were soft & fluffy. The machaca plate was not my favorite and tasted a little too dry to my liking. I took a star off for that & another star for only having 1 restroom available for all genders. I had to wait 5 minutes for a man to finish using the restroom. Last thing, the waiter only checked on us one time as he stood behind the counter. read more

Wow! My parents brought me here for my first visit on Sunday to celebrate my birthday. I'm so glad they did, because I've had it bookmarked to try for a while now. It's a small place and they do not take reservations, but we did not have to wait more than about 30 minutes for our table of 4. The service was great. They spoiled me for my birthday! And the food was delicious, plentiful, and beautifully presented. I can't wait to go back! Food, coffee and service were all excellent! I came with my friend on a Thursday and this place was consistently busy. I had the iced horchata latte and it was cute and delicious! We split the pancake platter and the chilaquiles, which you can choose from rojo, verde, chipotle or mole. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but they do their best to get their guests seated as a table becomes available. They share a parking lot with a market, so parking is VERY limited. I can imagine on the weekends this place is very busy, so maybe come by in a weekday if you don't want as long of a wait. Definitely recommend! read more
Finally got to try this place and it was a really great experience. The servers were really nice and super friendly, and the food was delicious. Got to try the drinks with the bear ice which was really cool, and there was a good amount of flavors to choose from. A good amount of seating is inside, while parking can be really tight since the restaurant shares the lot with a grocery store. read more

Such a cute lil place , we have been trying to go and try it out but there was always a line out the door , we got lucky and walked right in on the day we went , the food was very good and the chai was really good and the chocolate abuelita was very good , the atmosphere is what gives this place a special Feel , very cute and just makes you feel happy , well it did that for me and the sign on the wall said my happy place and I would have to agree . Super cute great service our waitress was so nice and helpful to our menu questions , we called the owner to our table I like to compliment owners when I like a place she was very nice and thanked us for our compliments to her , the waitress told us the owner is there every day now that shows you how proud she is of her restaurant , we will be back . Septiembre 22 festejando y tratando de desayunar aquí Es nuestra primera vez Pedí un golden pumpking late frío 10/10 Huevos divorciados bien cocidos se lo pedí encarecidamente a la mesera por qué me da asco ver huevo crudo (Primera intento no los cocieron bien, les pedí solo freír otros 2 huevos y ponerlos en mi plato que ya me habían dado, pero me trajeron otro plato con huevos quemados) * no me dieron cubiertos estoy aquí ya 15 minutos esperando por cubiertos, que el mesero me dijo que me traería, NOOOO se los pienso pedir una vez más. Mi esposo pidió waffles , huevo y tocino El waffle está duro como una piedra , los huevos bañados en aceite o mantequilla , la mesa sin Syrup o algún tipo para añadirle al waffle , no hay sal o pimienta en nuestra mesa, En las demás mesas SI!!! Hay sal, pimienta, chilly oil, ketchup y maple Syrup. Very welcoming I believe the man at the entrance is the owner since you can see and feel the way he treat the costumers. Waitress really have a job not friendly at all we ask for refill on milk and she brought ketchup ( thanks how you notice right away they are not paying attention on their tables ) she just took the order bring food and drinks and never check on us this is the time when I hate that they take the tips out of the check but they don't really do their job Pancakes and French toast are very delicious chilaquiles not my type to be honest so different from the authentic chilaquiles. The place is small and when starts getting busy we didn't feel comfortable anymore since chairs are too closed to each other. Something they really need to work on is the kids menu most of the time kids will want to eat pancakes and they don't have many options and it seems they don't have a set menu for kids they change it read more
What a cute place this is to have coffee or breakfast. Come early as they fill up pretty quick. The service was amazing. The staff were patient and sweet. We only came for the coffee, but next time I want to try their breakfast here. The iced coffee was very flavorful and good. I liked that they added the iced bear on top. Best Mexican Breakfast You Can Find! I've been twice already. The most delicious food and specialty drinks served with teddy bear ice cubes! The machaca plate is always my favorite. Food is always hot. The service is always top tier. So kind and frequent check ins from beginning to end of visit. Usually a little bit of a wait to get a table , but not too bad on the weekdays! The ambience is also very warm and welcoming. Gives me Alice in wonderland vibe ! read more
