    Mango Roll

By far the freshest sushi I ever had. I'm really surprised this is at a mall. I highly recommend this place. The lady making my roll was extremely polite too.

Humanity has finally evolved to the point of sushi burritos and we Sushiyo to thank. Overall very fresh and flavorful smoked salmon burrito that had all the hallmarks of great sushi and more. Lots of veggies crammed in there in a way you don't get with a regular sushi roll. It was phenomenal I'll get it anytime I'm at the mall now.

Paid Tuttle Mall a visit and needed lunch. Luckily this food court had a lot of options but I wanted something a little on the lighter side so I stopped here. The menu showed lots of choices ranging from potstickers to sushi rolls to ramen and sushi burritos!! I chose to order the potstickers (not for me but a coworker that loves them) and the mango roll for myself. I will say I was fairly surprised at how good my roll was. Inside, there were cucumbers, cream cheese, avocado and mango of course! On top was a lemon sauce, some "crunch" and a sushi sauce. I'm not sure what the "crunch" was but it was ok. I prefer a tempura crunch but this added the texture I needed. The sushi sauce tasted like eel sauce so i was very happy with that. Everything was fresh and yummy. I personally, didn't really like the cream cheese but I'm also not a huge cream cheese person anyways so others may be ok with it! The service was friendly and lunch was about $13 which was fair for the time put into the roll (they make it in front of you which is nice). This place is was a good stop for some fresh sushi!

Far exceeded my expectations for a sushi place inside of a mall. Very good food and price was right.

Again this place is still great after 2 years from my last review!…read more Service was fast and accommodating. Lunch hibachi with steak was $16. Not bad. The steak was perfectly cooked! They make the hibachi in the kitchen. It's not the kind of place where they make it in front of you. Parking was fine. It shares a big parking lot with Kroger. Environment is was cozy!

We got a couple appetizers to try and a couple ramen dishes to try. The Karaage was okay, the breading wasn't special and the flavor of the nuggets and sauce were a bit underwhelming. The gyoza was disappointing and lacked flavor. The TanTan Mazemen was good but it could have used some extra toppings to help the dish, such as corn, mushrooms, or something to balance the savory flavor. The sauce was pretty good but the ratio to ramen noodles was way too much sauce. We asked for an extra bowl of plain noodles but got a bowl of noodles and sauce. The Spicy Miso was pretty good and flavorful, it had decent toppings and spice. It was a solid basic miso broth and pretty good. Overall, the food was good but there was something missing from each dish and it was a bit pricey for the individual dishes. Staff was nice but seemed somewhat rushed when we were trying to order and throughout our meal. Overall, they were very attentive and would clean off our table every time they stopped by. We felt like we had to finish our dish because they wanted to grab the empty dish. Overall, it was a decent experience. I was a bit disappointed in the food but would try other dishes if I'm in the area. Staff was nice and service was good!

We spent $230 (w/ tip) and it was worth every penny. Probably the best Japanese restaurant in the city. We passed by this place multiple times on our way elsewhere. We're Mario fans, so the name Yoshi caught our eye, but the cramped strip mall exterior doesn't exactly scream culinary dream. We decided to take a chance, and let me just say--wow. It's an intimate space with just a few tables and an 8-10 seat sushi bar. We didn't have reservations (make one, they fill up fast) but managed to snag seats at the bar. The service immediately stood out. We had better attention here than at some upscale steakhouses--glasses never went empty, and their menu suggestions were spot on. One minor heads-up: at the sushi bar, staff sometimes walk behind you to talk to the chefs, which can be a bit distracting. For starters, we grabbed the gyoza and asked for a standout small plate. They pointed us to the beef tongue. It arrived hot with shredded onions and spicy mustard, delivering a buttery, melt-in-your-mouth tenderness with a deep, beefy richness. The gyoza was equally flawless. Instead of the overly chewy or burnt wrappers you find at most spots, these had a delicate, golden-brown sear with an intensely savory, garlicky umami filling. We paired this with Sayuri sake, a creamy, unfiltered pour that perfectly balanced sweetness with a dry, clean finish. Since we love nigiri, we ordered a spread: tuna, salmon, smoked salmon, sweet shrimp, and Japanese scallop, plus a salmon/avocado roll. The cuts were impeccably sourced and practically dissolved on the tongue. You rarely find this level of consistency. Just a heads up--they prepare it the traditional way, meaning there is a dab of wasabi tucked directly under the fish. We also tried the Wagyu A-5 roll. It's about as "meat and potatoes" as a roll can get: steak, carrots, asparagus, and rice. The seared Wagyu fat melted instantly, creating a decadent, buttery glaze over the crisp vegetables. It's one of those rare foods that genuinely forces you to pause after each bite. At $40, it was 100% worth it. I can't say enough about this experience. Next time, we're leveling up to the fatty tuna and Wagyu experience on their special menu. That's the exact culinary peak we've been looking for, and incredibly, it's tucked inside a suburban strip mall. Absolutely brilliant.
