I found this little hole in the wall spot from someone's TikTok, and seeing the food instantly made me want to grab my friends and try it especially since I live so close and had no idea this place existed. The restaurant is super tiny but had great music playing the whole night. They also have a little convenience section with packaged snacks and drinks which was super cute. My friends and I ordered the 10 piece Huancaina Roll, Leche de Tigre Maki Roll, and the 10 piece Maki Parillero Roll. To be honest the Huancaina Roll didn't have much flavor and it was pretty bland compared to the other two rolls so it wasn't my favorite. But if you love Peruvian Ceviche you're going to LOVE the Leche de Tigre Maki roll. The fish was so fresh and flavorful. The reallllll show stopper was the 10 Piece Maki Parillero roll. It was AMAZING! The sliced beef tataki just melts in your mouth and the chimichurri was just an absolute chefs kiss. I kid you not I could've eaten two orders of just that roll and called it a day. The California roll I got was okay, it just tasted petty bland. Like it had been sitting in a fridge premade for hours but I think they made it there so not sure how that happens. I also ordered online but they claimed they didn't have my order when I got there and had to convice them via email receipt that I ordered and waited like 25 mins longer than I needed to while they made it. I love Peruvian food and Japanese food so this was a welcoming surprise during the pandemic to Newark. The food is amazing and the prices are great. I love their lomo because the quality of the meat is good and not tough like most places. I was a little bit anxious about trying their sushi, but it was amazing. The Godzilla roll, spicy crunchy tuna roll and the spicy shrimp mango roll were my favorites. The only thing I ordered that disappointed me was the saltado pasta which I usually get from other restaurants and it tossed in a dark soy sauce, but theirs was white and very bland. I tried this spot up for a pick up recently and I must admit that I was skeptical because it's an fusion restaurant. Asian fusion and Peruvian makes for an interesting combination. But you get the best of several worlds, something for everyone I guess! I got the California roll I got was really good. I also tried their salchipollo and that too was really good. Their pork and chucking dumplings were flavorful and I tore those up quickly in the car. I'll be ordering from here again!! Yes I'm Peruvian- and this spot I wouldn't say has the best sushi I've ever tried but it has some AMAZING sushi. The best part is the fact that they have Peruvian Fusion sushi's like sushi Acevichado and Ala Huancaina. The Peruvian food they offer is on POINT!!! You park outside and you wonder... let me not leave my car unlocked... but you go inside and you're transported into a dope vibe with big words and pictures. Not a first date spot but absolutely a "we gotta go there" place. Believe me you'll be back!!! This place is not a fast food spot but the food is absolutely worth the wait. Tried it for the first time last week, I ordered off Uber eats. I tried both sushi and their Latin platter. I'd say 3.5 stars but rounded up since the pricing was good. The sushi rolls were good and the packaging and delivery was great. The two for 1 California rolls was what reeled me in to order when I was going through menus. The Family crunch was a great deal as well and the sushi was really good. Unfortunately, the Hispanic food was very disappointing. The pork chop was very over cooked and had no real flavor. I just tasted burnt and even with adding salt & adobo it was just eatable. What really saved the meal was the soup. Man oh man was it good. I mean, the sushi wasn't good. The tuna was chewy and stringy with a lot of "silver skin", and simply didn't taste very good. Way too much rice in both the nigiri and the maki, and the rice was also mushy and bland. I ended up throwing out like half of it. But, the presentation/packaging is nice, and the prices are pretty cheap. I would still go somewhere else though and pay more for more edible sushi. Omg... I neglected to take pictures but presentation was fantastic. There was absolutely nothing in my order that I wouldn't reorder next time! Here's what I ordered: Goodzilla Fried Roll, Dragon Spicy Crab, Spicy Tuna Salad, Tres Leches for dessert, and a bubble tea. The food was AMAZING, but I have to admit it took almost twice as long for it to be delivered then what's posted as the estimated delivery time. The hot stuff was still hot, the cold stuff was still cold and there was nothing wilted in my order so we'll worth the wait. Food is more so worth 3.5... but like someone else here said in their review, its worth rounding up due to their fair prices. I have only ordered in delivery from this place. Of everything i have tried, the best for me was the sushi burrito. It is fresh tasting, satisfying. and has a lot of crunchy vegetables in it. I have ordered it maybe 3 times now for 10 bucks. Everything else i have had was just okay. The shrimp bao is OK but i have had better at other restaurants (e.g. Fujiya Ramen). The same goes for their pork ramen and chicken ramen. The beef empanada was a bit tasteless, but the chicken empanada was like a handheld chicken pot pie. Only downside was the inside of the empanadas were cold when we got them delivered, so we had to warm them up more ourselves. I probably will not order them again. The maki brasero was ok, but not worth ordering again. The same goes for the tuna acevichado (was covered in too much of a mayo based cream sauce which i found overwhelming). I have been to this location several times in the past 2 or so years. Not sure why I haven't reviewed them yet as I am a satisfied customer. They are in my local area, sushi is fresh and dumplings are good. I had to take 2 stars away for 2 reasons. The first when I called in the lady answering the phone didn't speak any English and I speak very little Spanish. Very hard to place an order. She had to ask someone in the restaurant if they spoke English to help place my order. Another reason I took a star away because sauce, teriyaki specifically is an extra $1.00. So no sauce comes with the pork dumplings at all and I must pay an extra buck for it. Not good. Overall the food was fresh and good. I will return but I guess I will have to have someone who speaks Spanish to place the order in advance and purchase my own sauce. read more

A hidden gem! Was introduced to this place by a good friend and gathered the crew to check it out. We had the 70 piece sushi platter and then ordered individual meals... and it was too much! The platter was fantastic, with each sushi roll giving a different, delicious flavor. The one complaint I had was that by the time the platters we ordered came we were all too full to finish them. I had the fried rice and noodle combination platter with chicken, which was cooked to perfection. I showed up to the restaurant. then they told me they ran out of the fish I ordered. do I want something else. the portions in the Poke Bowl are becoming skimpy less fish more filler or rice and vegetables. the salad is becoming less as well. the wait staff should be more fluent in English then Spanish. the Restaurant is in a multi language area of Newark not everyone speaks Spanish. the restaurant is small and cozy if you like that. it is fine.
