The menu is pretty vast, upon arrival you are welcomed with a pot of green tea and miso, goes down really well. We got the futomaki dragon roll: king prawn, avocado, pickled cucumber, unagi sauce and topped off with fish eggs, you get 8 pieces on a plate for about £11, really good dish to share. Also got the spicy edamame, ebi fry and we each got a bento box. I went for the veggie tofu option and my friend for the chicken katsu. Bento boxes are about £6-9 and you get a lot of variety such as salad, sticky rice with beansprouts, the meat or the tofu and tempura vegetables, also comes with a sauce or sesame oil. If there is a group, works out cheaper, as it was just me and my friend it was £30 each with the addition of green tea, which isn't actually bad. Me Love Sushi long time!…read more Like a lot of people, I love me some sushi and when I came across this chain I just had to give it a try. The restaurants look more Italian than Japanese inside, but are tastefully decorated in a simplistic style and have a mellow vibe. On to the most important factor; the sushi. There is a wide selection available of everything you could want including nigiri, sashimi and uramaki as well as some of their own signature dishes. I went with an assortment of nigiri, hosomaki, temaki, vegetable noodles and salmon teriyaki. When we were finished, we were so full we could barely walk but very satisfied with the great food. With sushi, you order many small dishes and the cost all adds up but the best thing about this place is that the portions are a lot bigger so you order less. You may spend only slightly less as a group than you would if you went to say, Yo! Sushi, but I think you get a lot more for your money. The other hot food are also cooked per order and we didn't have to wait too long (15mins) for proper cooked meal. But it never felt long as there's always food coming to our table! There wasn't a time limit per table so we literally sat there and ate for 3 hours. It was so worth the money (£15 pp). Absolutely love all the maki, nigri and temakiz as well as their pad thai and thai fish cake was really good (approved by one of our Thai friend). Their fish was fresh (obviously not top notch but not stale either). Their honey lemongrass tea was yummy. It was unlimited refill too with proper honey. Thumbs up! The only thing which we didn't like was the spare ribs as they were way over done. I wasn't too keen on their coconut Tom Yum. I felt I was having coconut soup rather than Tom Yum but their prawns in there was fresh and juicy. There's also one toilet per gender so there tends to be a mini queue. So for anyone new to Eat, they present you with a massive menu - I mean it could be the size of someone's thesis, so you have to carefully go through the menu and pick what you like. The bento boxes are great choices - great value for good food, I tend to get the £9 chicken Teri and salmon bento. But then there is so much more- the gyoza is awesome, the agadashi tofu - delish and my all time favourite (for all those aubergine lovers a must have) the nasu dengaku.
