I've been here with them a few times and I've enjoyed it in the past.. today was the 1st time we went during the pandemic, and am glad to say we still loved the food, all came out hot and tasty. They have a 50% off lunch, so was such a good deal too I saw someone commented on poor service, I've never had bad service, they're always attentive.. bordering on overly talkative lol.. and today was no exception. Check it out..

This place serves Thai and Sushi so I wasn't convinced about this place at all. I wasn't expecting much from this place. But at the same time I knew my friends wouldn't even dare thinking of going to a place where buffets are heated up day after day with poor quality food. On arrival it was pretty empty. We were the only party although it was only 6pm. By 7pm this place was buzzing and all tables were filled with hungry people. Staffs are friendly and great customer services. The variety of food you could choose was amazing. Everything else was almost freshly done, especially the sushi as the chef makes it in front of you and the rice was nice and soft unlike most places like Wasabi were the rice are pretty hard as it's been sitting at the fridge for a while. The other hot food are also cooked per order and we didn't have to wait too long (15mins) for proper cooked meal. But it never felt long as there's always food coming to our table! There wasn't a time limit per table so we literally sat there and ate for 3 hours. It was so worth the money (£15 pp). Absolutely love all the maki, nigri and temakiz as well as their pad thai and thai fish cake was really good (approved by one of our Thai friend). Their fish was fresh (obviously not top notch but not stale either). Their honey lemongrass tea was yummy. It was unlimited refill too with proper honey. Thumbs up! The only thing which we didn't like was the spare ribs as they were way over done. I wasn't too keen on their coconut Tom Yum. I felt I was having coconut soup rather than Tom Yum but their prawns in there was fresh and juicy. There's also one toilet per gender so there tends to be a mini queue. I wish this was based in Central London because I would be returning very regularly. I might need to find another excuse to visit this place in the near future!

I'm a high ranking city professional I don't expect to be spoken to like that by anyone let alone someone who is hired to give professional welcoming service. I fully understand why there's so many awful reviews. Food has also gone down hill completely as well

We booked the table for 5 people at 12.30pm. The Chinese woman with glasses (I forgot to ask her name) who I assumed was the manager because she was dressed differently, came over to teach us how to order using the QR code. I asked if there was Wi-Fi and if I could get the password. She said, "Yes! But why don't you use your mobile data?" I explained that my number was American and the signal was weak and slow. She then gave me the password, but I couldn't hear her, so I asked her to speak slowly. She rolled her eyes, started to get annoyed, and raised her voice. I told her it was my first time here and why couldn't she be more polite? How was I supposed to know everything? It's not okay to provide service like that. In the end, I didn't order anything, but my friends did because the kids were hungry. I just sat there and waited to go eat somewhere else. I would recommend going to another restaurant. There are plenty of Japanese restaurants in London. There's no need to eat at a place with terrible service, especially with a 10% service charge. Good luck to anyone who is willing to have a new bad experience at this restaurant!

Most of the fish would have been been better off being used as chum on a deep sea charter fishing boat. Very low quality fish. We ordered the sashimi boat to get a good sampling of their sushi abilities. Absolute failure. Tuna was in-edible. Could nit even chew it up it was so tough and it was really smelly. Gross!! I almost barfed at the table, and we eat ALOT of sushi. I am not exaggerating, i was dry heaving. Maybe my standards are too high i don't know. One of the guys in our party was pulling BIG bones out of his fish pieces! Yummy!!! Wth!?! A non sushi person we brought ordered the chicken katsu, simple enough. They brought a small mountain of chicken! Yay! Except that it was half raw and black inside...that was when i decided to talk to a manager who insisted everything was fine! Haha fine to who? I showed her our napkins, FILLED with fish we had to spit out...and bones! And raw/black chicken:) I gladly paid for everything, and now we get to share our wonderful experience with the world. Either way i was sharing...the money i don't care about...thanks for ruining our evening...that's what i care about. Yellowtail rolls were good. We ordered alot of food, and the rolls were ok. But the sashimi omg...so bad. Buyer beware. I would 100% not recommend this place unless u want to roll the dice...

The waiting time was in fact not bad at all and soon we were seated. We ordered a plum wine each and we were all surprised to receive such a generously filled glass of this sweet liquor. We perused through the extensive menu and eventually all three of us settled for an order of Oyakodon (accompanied by a miso soup), which turned out to be very generous and filling portions. On the side we had ordered Edamame Beans, Age-Tofu, and a portion of what looked like a honey-glazed aubergine (the latter was especially delicious). We had also ordered two rolls, but they somehow didn't arrive and so we cancelled the order as we were stuffed anyway. The best of it all was the bill at the end: £35 for the three of us!!! Wow...this is what I call a bargain and it then totally made sense that people were queueing up like crazy: it's definitely a good value for money here!

The prices are reasonable. It's spacious. Service is wonderful. And most importantly the food is just great!!! I mean wholesome - great portions and Japanese food as you would want it. I have probably taken everyone I know here now, and the staff all recognise me - I want to give a big shout out to the Chinese lady in the pink kimono and black framed glasses who has the biggest smile - and the Chinese maths student from Bristol. Those two are great and always recognise me when I come in. I appreciate the reception. The other staff are awesome too. So for anyone new to Eat, they present you with a massive menu - I mean it could be the size of someone's thesis, so you have to carefully go through the menu and pick what you like. The bento boxes are great choices - great value for good food, I tend to get the £9 chicken Teri and salmon bento. But then there is so much more- the gyoza is awesome, the agadashi tofu - delish and my all time favourite (for all those aubergine lovers a must have) the nasu dengaku. Those are merely scratching the surface of the menu. The black cod is also to die for. There is so much more - it's just endless joy. Also note: This is Eat Tokyo that does Shabu Shabu. Yelp you need to remove Shabu Shabu from the title because it's just another Eat Tokyo in London like the rest of them. The only difference is that they do Shabu Shabu too.

We ordered a bunch of a la carte dishes (the pumpkin croquettes were delicious) along with the amazing value sashimi boat. Although the sashimi was fresh the cuts were a bit too thick and obviously weren't from grade A fish (whatever that means). Still, amazing value, especially for those with expandable stomachs.
