I have to say that I always love going to this Wagamama when I'm in London. The ambiance is nice…read more The service is quick and the food has always been great quality. This particular time I had the pleasure of having the waiter Haiya (sorry if the spelling is off) He was excellent at helping me choose the right meals. I started with Duck Gyoza and Fried prawns which are not shown but they were delicious. My almost 2 year old loved them. The I got a main which was the curry seen with fish. Now I must say it wasn't what I was expecting. The menu did say *lighter fare* which I clearly missed. When it came out it was beautiful but I was missing the creaminess sweetness of a full coconut curry. It was a bit more citrusy and sharp. The waiter was so kind he offered to let me get something else and helped me decide. So I ended up with the duck and rice bowl which I loved! I added hoisin sauce and a little soy and it was perfect. At this point I trusted his guidance and decided to continue on for dessert. I was a little nervous of getting a white chocolate ginger cheesecake bc I'm not a huge fan of ginger, but he assured me it wasn't overpowering. Honestly, sooo glad that I chose it. It was absolutely divine. Also I have to mention from the start he directed me to the strawberry matcha latte which was also very good. I normally love Thai tea but they didn't have it and this was a very nice treat for a pregnant mama. I had to come give them a nice review bc I felt very attended to especially by myself with my toddler. We had such a nice time being out and when the food and service is exceptional you have to make sure you let them know. Thank you to Haiya. I'd highly recommend this Wagamama location!

Very yummy sushi buffet and after 3 portions I felt full. However I was left with the impression…read morethat it isn't a truly "all you can eat" experience - you get 2 orders of the posher meals and 4 orders of sushi. It is truly very filling (I love eating and I was totally stuffed!) so it is undoubtedly enough, however I don't think it is an all you can eat. Be sure to read all the rules that are in small print on the buffet menu or you can end up with £5 per person taxation for leaving a piece of sushi behind you! Service was wonderful with polite members of staff, however a few of our orders were forgotten and we had to remind them to bring it. After that they came out very quickly so it wasn't a serious problem. My most serious concern was with the staff wiping the tables using left over customer tap water as a cleaning detergent, spilling a bit on the table and then wiping it - that is like cleaning your table with someone's saliva which is surely not very romantic! I would recommend Co-Op or Tesco multi-purpose spray, than you! P.S. the warm sake is divine!

I wasn't sure about this because I don't like sushi, but gambled that there would be enough other stuff to get full. In retrospect, I think it would have been a better deal for me to get a starter and a main, which would have been cheaper and probably filled me up the same amount, but it was nice and sociable to try things together. Also worth noting that they were fine with my friend not doing the all you can eat - she ate off the menu, which was good because some places wouldn't trust you to do this and make the whole group eat the same thing. Food-wise, it was pretty good - in particular, the chicken katsu was so crisp and delicious, and I was also a fan of the gyoza. The service was slow and forgetful - although they obviously meant well, we had to ask several times for items (drinks, sides, the second round of food) and there was an error in the bill. I did warm to the wait staff but it didn't feel very professional. I think they are quite new, so maybe things will improve once they are more experienced.
