    BBQ beef ribs bento

I ordered the Lobster Dragon Roll and the Bento Box BBQ Beef ribs using Skip the Dishes delivery service. The food was okay. The food was kind of sloppy made, but maybe it was due to the delivery service taking an hour to come to my place. The portions was large, but kind of bland.

    $10 - #9 - Caterpillar Roll. Very tasty!

Sushi Zone has become my go-to place for takeout whenever I'm craving rolls or sushi. It's not an upscale restaurant where you'd want to take your date, but more a local go-to type restaurant where you know you'll get good value for the money. Considering how expensive their monthly rent must be, their prices are some of the lowest in the area and the quality is pretty good IMHO. I recommend Caterpillar Rolls - my personal favourite. Their lunch specials are pretty good too for those who work in the vicinity of the restaurant.

    my lunch special

I got a lunch special and boy was it worth it. Each roll , albeit not the most pretty was packed with fish. The salmon roll that I had came with 8 pieces and had huge chunks of avocado and salmon, while the unagi roll that also came with it, came with 6 pieces and had only unagi in it (which is completely fine by me as most other inexpensive sushi restaurants skimp out on it). After tax and tip my lunch was only about $10. The only downside is that there is no washroom on site and seating is limited, so this place really is best for takeout. But, if you are dining in, the waitress that served me was fast and friendly, so no complaints there. I left here with a full belly and a happy wallet. Come check this place out.

Lunch special, came with miso and salad

It's local, it's cheap, food is consistently good for "fast-food sushi". I can't complain. I'm not looking for Michelin stars here. I'm looking for fast, reliable, budget friendly and craving satisfaction. There are a wide array of options on the menu, and take out deals, lunch deals, and combo deals. It's not a big place with lots of staff I've seen a total of three people each of the 3 times I've visited. It's now my "sushi-day" lunch place :)

I've never been to the restaurant but as far as take-out sushi goes, this is my go to. Super fast, very reasonable prices and always fresh!

Soggy and bland food. We've had sushi over the past 2 weeks and this is by far the worst. Do not recommend.

Terrible service...and the quality of the food used to be a lot better. I won't be going there anymore.

You can really tell there's a lot of care behind every course. What stood out to me most was how calm and focused the whole experience felt--it made it easy to slow down and actually enjoy each bite. Definitely a place I'd come back to when I want something a little more special.

There were three add-ons (toro with caviar $25, uni with caviar $35, and caviar sushi). I opted in for the toro and uni add-ons. It was strange they give you the add-ons before any other nigiri. Everything was very good and fresh. Standouts for me was the appetizer, all three cuts of bluefin tuna, the lobster (by far my favorite), and the hotaru ika. I would've appreciated knowing that the omakase included or not included toro and uni before I decided on the add-ons but I don't regret it. It was a splurge night after all. Service was very attentive. Note that the dining space is very small. 12 seats around the counter and two tables. There was a very loud gentleman two seats from me who never learned to use his inside voice and totally ruined vibe. But that's not on the staff. Another note is that gratuity is automatic on the bill.

We were seated in a separate room from the regular sushi counter. The chef carefully prepared each course in front of us. The Kaiseki portion was served first, and after each course was given to us one of the servers described each dish and its elements. The sushi courses were served afterwards followed by some desserts. They also gave us an extra dessert for the birthday celebrant. Each dish was really thoughtful and tasty, and the fish was really fresh. The highlight was definitely the A5 Wagyu beef course. The beef was so buttery and melted in my mouth. They even explained the quality of the beef and showed us a certificate of the beef's grading. It was worth the splurge for a special occasion! The meal was amazing and the restaurant itself was welcoming and not pretentious at all.
