Pork soup dumplings, steamed broccoli, chicken bao bun, sweet potato roll, peanut avocado jalapeño roll, AAC roll
Emma B.

Got takeout, and all my order arrived together however I was disappointed after trying a few bites. Chicken bao buns were very dry, with almost nothing on them. Pork soup dumplings were in the plastic tray like when you microwave them from the freezer, and steamed broccoli arrived cold. Ordered 3 vegetarian rolls and they arrived as ordered. Unfortunately will only be ordering vegetable sushi from here.

Really enjoy the platters here. We ordered two different platters - one was our choice of 4 special rolls and 5 classic rolls, and the other was a chefs choice of rolls. Both were tasty and they gave a TON of wasabi, ginger and soy sauce. Portions were nice. I am also allergic to mangoes so they easily accommodated and gave us different rolls in the chefs choice than what we ordered in the other tray. Overall the rolls were pretty good and tasted pretty fresh. I would say the variety was there but overall the taste of each roll started tasting the same - each roll had a different mix of what felt like spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, eel, avocado, crab meat, etc. Overall not the best sushi I've ever had but definitely hit the cravings especially with the party platters and the variety. Note: takeout only!! There is no dine-in.

We ordered takeout from Sushi X last week, and it was great. Recommend the spicy tuna sushi burrito or the soft shell crab sushi burrito. Did not sit inside but the atmosphere seemed very modern/chiq and the service was excellent.

We have been customers for 3+ years. Sushi is always top notch fresh. We order at least twice a week. Its become a weekend ritual and we get catering for big events from here. We will definitely never sushi cheat. The staff is absolutely wonderful. The manager especially goes above & beyond! The sushi selection is like no other. Hibachi is delicious as well if you're not into sushi or simply not in the mood for it that day.

Shrimp Cucumber Roll, Spicy Crab Roll, Philly Roll

I got takeout from Sushi X for the first time yesterday. It was decent! I would definitely go back if I'm suddenly in the mood for sushi like I was yesterday. Out of the three rolls I ate, my favorite was the Spicy Crab Roll. The Philly Roll was also good. I would skip the Shrimp Cucumber Roll next time for something with a little more flavor.

Spicy Tuna Roll, Spicy Yellowtail Roll, Chicken Tempura Roll.

Delicious, reasonable price, fast service. The ratio of spice, tempera flakes and amount of fish was perfection. Our new go to spot !

Really wanted to love this place. I was so excited about the sushi burrito. I have had them in the past at other restaurants and have always been a good value. Here it is just an un cut roll. Not a burrito by size in any way. The ramen was very bland and tasted like pasta water and noodles, no beef flavor.

Salmon roll, spicy Tuna roll, & a tempura shrimp roll(I'm not sure exactly which one) the Any Three Rolls deal

My son loves the Ramen! It's hard to find some good authentic ramen in the area. We drive 15 min to eat here!

But the real standout was the spicy shrimp pad Thai. So many places slap "spicy" on the menu and then you get something that barely has a kick, this one actually delivered, with a nice tangy heat that had real balance to it. Even though I ordered mine to go, the staff still offered me water while I waited and kept my glass full the whole time. Small thing, but it says a lot about how they treat customers. Already planning to come back before I head out of the area. Highly recommend.

First, I didn't realize until I googled afterwards, they failed 14 FOOD INSPECTION VIOLATIONS in 2025, I wish I had found that out before going. They've raised the prices SO MUCH, in some cases 30-45%. It's easy to tell because they just used a marker to write over the old prices on the menu?! You can see where the ramens went up $4-9 dollars per bowl! And if you build your own it's worse, they're charging $1.50 for a tablespoon of green onions on your bowl!??? They've lost their minds. We also ordered the "crispy chicken" for the ramen, and I have to say I did not know a piece of chicken could be pounded this flat. If you held it up you'd be able to see through it. I added a photo, there can't be more than 1/3 of a chicken breast pounded so flat it's unrecognizable as meat. Also we were both absolutely CONVINCED they're watering down the soy sauce. I've had Asian all over the world, I've been traveling and eating in Japan since 2005...I have never seen any soy sauce this watery, thin, and transparent. Absolutely pathetic. So disappointing to see this place hike up the prices and fall off in quality. The nickel and dime-ing, cut corners, and failed inspections are unacceptable.

I ordered the Akamaru Modern Ramen, the BBQ short rib plate, and the mango shaved ice everything was absolutely delicious. The short ribs were incredibly tender and flavorful, paired perfectly with rice and their macaroni salad, which is surprisingly SO good because I normally don't even like macaroni salad from restaurants. The ramen was rich, comforting, and full of flavor as always. The mango shaved ice was refreshing and came topped with popping mango pearls and mochi, which made it even better. The ambiance is nice bright and decorative. Clean. The service is always great, and Jimmy always remembers me and is so welcoming every time I come in. The ladies in the front are pleasant and everyone teams up to ensure you have a pleasant dining experience. Everybody I've brought here ends up loving this place too. My total was about $55, and since I paid cash, I even got a little discount, which was a nice bonus. Definitely one of my favorite spots! If you go, I hope you enjoy it like I do.

When we called in to confirm that the Udon noodles do NOT have egg (as we have a child with an egg allergy), the woman taking our order curtly said "I threw out the box, it's white, you have to look for yourself." When we mentioned we do not know the brand to look, she replied "me neither, I threw out the box." Needless to say - the food is great, but honestly, the family owned business officially sucks. There's a way to respond to things and that just isn't it. Especially as someone taking orders. So thank you for ending this streak for us. The crap service made it easy to make this place a 1 star.

There is such a wide variety of foods!! I usually only eat 2 plates at buffets, and I am done. I had 6!! Omg! I couldn't stop going back for more! That's the most I've ever eaten! Next time, I want to try more things, because there were so many options! There were very few things I wasn't a fan off, but it's up to preference. I cleared almost everything on all of my plates. I missed it before I even finished eating it. They have the options of hotpot, buffet, and ramen! You can do more than one too! 100/10! Exceeded my expectations! When searching for the best ramen in Philadelphia, not only did the reviews lead us here, but the…read moresuggestions from the locals did as well. We started off with a few appetizers. The edamame was standard, and the takoyaki and pan-fried dumplings didn't taste homemade. Rather they both reminded me of what you would pick up at the frozen section at the food market. Nevertheless, they were passable. After all, we were here for the ramen. I opted in for their Terakawa special. The broth was flavourful, and the chashu was the most tender and juicy chashu I've ever had. As for the girlfriend, she opted in for their spicy ramen which was also spectacular. I absolutely loved her wavy noodles. I would have loved to have swapped out my straight noodles for her wavy noodles. They have a nice bounce and slightly chewy texture. Their marinated eggs were to die for. We put in a few extra orders for these. Overall, a great experience. The staff seemed to be right on the ball, and this small and cozy restaurant definitely makes you feel transported to Japan.

When I arrived, the restaurant was very busy, and the space itself was pretty small. Thankfully, they have a self-service kiosk to join the dine-in waitlist and another kiosk specifically for takeout orders. The ordering process was simple and straightforward, but unfortunately, the wait was quite long. Despite ordering relatively simple dishes, my food took about 30 minutes to prepare. There also wasn't anywhere to sit or wait inside, so I ended up standing outside for the entire 30 minutes. For my appetizer, I ordered the mini chicken curry, which was pretty good! The curry had that classic Japanese curry flavor I was looking for, and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of chicken included, especially for an appetizer-sized portion. For my entree, I went with the gyudon, which was also pretty solid. The beef was a little fattier than I expected, and I felt that the rice-to-meat ratio was slightly off, with significantly more rice than beef. However, the overall flavor was good, and it definitely satisfied my craving for a Japanese rice bowl. Overall, I enjoyed the food and would definitely consider coming back to try their ramen, especially since that's what they're known for. My biggest complaint was the takeout experience. Hopefully, they can improve their efficiency with takeout orders or find a way to better accommodate customers waiting for their food. The food itself was satisfying, but a 30-minute wait for a couple of simple dishes felt a bit excessive.
