This review is for the all you can eat portion. What I really didn't like is you see all the pictures on Yelp for the rolls but it looks nothing like the ones in the photos! You only get the good looking rolls when it's not AYCE. All the rolls we ordered looked and tasted like those free California rolls that come in a combo. I would give it a 1/5. The baked mussels were good. 4/5. The agedashi tofu was kinda too lemony but ok. 3/5. Now for the main star, the nigiri. Some fish were very good. Hamachi. Yellow tail. Tuna and salmon were average. The scallop ones were really disappointing because it looked so good in one of the pictures on Yelp. Definitely feels like this place cheaps out. No sashimi. Better rolls have an upcharge. Maybe if you come, stick to the not AYCE portion. read more

Oh my gosh even if you can't do their amazing all you can eat their rolls are still good independently. They don't skip on the fish with the all you can eat it's so good! I think we literally go here once a month with all of our friends even their apps are delicious. read more

I went to Sushi Train for AYCE lunch on Friday, which was at the fantastic price of $16.99. At this price, I have to say I was really impressed by the All You Can Eat sushi quality and the level of service that facilitates a smooth AYCE experience. Tables were appropriately spaced apart that gave us comfort with dining inside and our servers were really attentive, allowing us to order within two min of us wanting to do so. Be careful that they do charge for leftover sushi, so order as you go along. I recommend getting the nigiri pieces, especially the hamachi, which I thought was seared nicely and topped with a jalapeno and tasty sauce, the eel which was actually quite well flavored, and the mackerel (if you like the fishiness of mackerel, which I personally LOVE) because I thought it was surprisingly fresh. The rolls were good, but nothing particularly special about them with a decent rice to filling ratio. The spicy tuna/salmon felt a bit lower quality than other rolls and personally, the fried specialty rolls seemed too heavy/filling for an AYCE endeavor. Overall, definitely recommend checking out Sushi Train when you're looking for more bang for your buck and looking to satisfy your sushi craving in a bigger way. read more

What a fun concept! I love sushi and I've seen the conveyor belt sushi places but this is a whole new, fun concept! First tip - sit at the sushi bar to get the full experience. There's plenty of seating, probably at least 10-15 spots and they socially distance everyone. Second - come hungry! Because it's AYCE and you want to get your money's worth!! So when you order the sushi, the rolls come out on a train! The sushi chefs control the car to come around from the kitchen and stop right in front of you with whatever you ordered. If you order a few rolls, they come with multiple carts attached on the caboose. However you can also order just a few pieces. I ordered a single piece of salmon nigiri and it was so cute to see the train come out with just one piece of fish. Such a fun concept. And great sushi! Definitely will be back :) read more

We really wanted to rate this place higher but it's def a mixed bag. Food - 3/5 The quality of the fish was decent but the fish on the nigiri was way too thin. I didn't know if you could cut fish that thin. Also they put way too much rice in their pieces and rolls. Service - 4/5 The servers there are friendly and the sushi chef was really awesome and accommodating. Decor - 1/5 When we walk up to the front, I was wondering if it was even opened b/c it looked that dilapidated from the outside. Going inside, it isn't much better. The sushi is very good and the staff is great. The place is completely trashed on the outside, with peeling paint on rotted wood shingles. The parking lot is full of holes and there is trash from the transients who hang out at the Goodwill next door, strewn about the perimeter. One of the front doors is permanently locked and inoperable, which seems like it should be a fire code violation? If you didn't know better, you would think the building was abandoned. I will never understand why they don't fix up the building it is in, since I suspect the exterior is a turn-off for many people who would otherwise consider going in. On the inside, however, it is fairly nice and the sushi chefs are top-notch. Don't let the decrepit building on the outside fool you. The place is a hidden gem on the inside. The service was very nice, our waiter was super friendly. we went for dinner so 30$ per person all you can eat sushi...first the portions are so big i thought 3-4 pieces of the roll, no the whole roll you get, it's prob cheaper to pick 3-5 rolls than the all you can eat. there was a hair on my roll, the waiter was able to take it back and i received a new roll. for the price (me and my partner 2 all you can eat =85$ w tip) and when we got out to the parking lot we both unfortunately got sick. the sushi didn't taste bad but it definitely wasn't "high quality". wouldn't go again, and wouldn't recommend. so many better sushi places in denver. but seriously the waiter was cool. read more

We have been here plenty of times. It's been a great place to enjoy some 'all you can eat' sushi. Overall, it tastes great and service is good. It's easy to get in as well. Awesome time, awesome service, good food. On Thursday May 08 2008, a group of 12 and I came to Sushi Train for dinner. Some of my friends said their sushi was ok. Some say it was good value for the portion they received be it from the Bento, Sashimi or Sushi itself. The chef provide us "ON The House Roll" named Hampden Roll before everyone received their own order for that evening. Indeed we were impressed by this Hampden Roll. The chefs are originally from Korea but they have lived in San Francisco, California. They made their move to open Sushi Train which has been operating since 1 month ago. All in all everyone that attended that evening dinner had their fair share of experiences. As for me I ordered these: Estes Park Roll~ I recommend this! The Nigiri were: Uni, Tobiko, Unagi, Amaebi, Hokkigai & Spicy Hotate (which is the one I like & love!!!) I would definitely come to eat here again, to try out the different variety of sushi rolls that comes with their own unique names. I hope Sushi Train can uphold their service like what we had that evening in many more years to come. As for families with kids, the kids would defnitely be entertained by the miniature working train, running around the Sushi Bar table. If you can, do seat at the Sushi Bar table. read more

Small hidden gem of a sushi restaurant, nigiri always tastes great and fresh (the salmon and white tuna especially) and you can't beat the price for all you can eat. If you get lucky enough to sit in the center, the train brings you sushi which is pretty cute and quirky. There's also never a long wait to get seated, so food comes fast! read more

When I heardabout the concept of sushi train, I was quite intrigued. Maybe because the whole concept is centered around the name--sushi train meaning if you sit at the sushi bar, your sushi comes to you on a train! I've never seen anything like that before and it's kind of my ultimate lazy girl dream so I had to see what it was all about. We went on Tuesday night and found out not only do they have a kick ass train but they also have all you can sushi which not only includes sushi but also select appetizers and hot dishes. For $24, we felt that was the best way to explore the menu and fill our bellies with sushi until we puked. The sushi train was working at first and it was awesome going back and forth around the sushi bar, delivering sushi to those who sat there. Even though the sushi chefs weren't wearing a conductor hat while operating it, it was amusing and I kept giggling every time it passed us. A little time passed though and the sushi train started to derail (thankfully without any sushi on it because I would be diving onto the tracks to save the sushi). They ended up fixing it and thank god they did because I believe the concept of their restaurant would completely fall apart if the train didn't work, yes? The sushi chefs were amazing-entertaining but not in your business, personable and efficient. Plus they had a tip jar that said "Tips are like jars only without the awkward contact", how cute is that? The sushi was fresh with interesting flavor combinations that I haven't seen before. Every roll I had was amazing and their white tuna and red snapper nigiri was fantastic. Plus we went while it was happy hour which means $1 beers and $2 sake which is absolutely insane. While ordering another beer, the waitress asked me if I wanted this time around since happy hour was ending soon. I looked at her in shock and said "Happy hour?" She never told us about the happy hour so of course I wanted a $1 beer. A Sushi Train has been my favorite sushi spot in Denver yet. I've been looking for a place that's affordable, innovative with great service and just about every place I've been to has fallen short in some department making me not want to go back. Came for lunch and had a good experience. Not too much rice was used in rolls and nigiri. Sushi came out very fast when sat at the bar. Baked mussels were good. Miso soup was good. This is a neat place that has great service. If you are sitting at the bar your sushi is delivered by a little train. At the tables by a server. It's not just all you can eat sushi, almost their entire menu is included. The food is good considering the $20 per person cost at lunch. Their policy is if you don't eat it all you have to pay for it. The service is very quick, so I would just order small quantities and order more later if you want it. read more

We had been coming here for years and loved it; however, I never got the all you can eat sushi until last night and I will never go back! First, the way they make the all you can eat sushi is not they way they are described on the menu! We ordered a dragon roll which comes with soft shell crab and avocado and instead that was replaced with imitation crab salad, rice and cucumber. We also got the garden flower which is supposed to be wrapped in tuna but instead had a small thin piece of tuna on top. But so much rice!! When I questioned them about it, the chef told us that's the way they were trained to do it for the all you can eat and that if we didn't like it we "should go to sushi den". And after calling them out on the sushi, we were avoided completely even though we were at the sushi bar and received the absolute worst service. Now I don't know if this is new in a post-Covid world, but I would absolutely avoid this place and if you do come, DO NOT GET THE ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI unless you just want to consume mass amounts of rice and crab salad! I for one will never go back and I sincerely hope they realize that for a lot of people quality is more important than quantity. read more
