Stopped in for lunch for the first time after 10 yrs of living in haverhill. When my wife and I walked in, we were surprised that it's actually not as bad as what we were told. "A dump". It's nicely decorated and very clean. Their employee's first reaction was like a Chinese is in here, they are spying on our business. LOL. Yes I felt that way. Food was okay, we'd ordered salmon bento box, chicken bento box and I ordered an extra Szechuan chicken lunch specials. Omfg! Their chicken was battered? So weird, cuz i had the same meal every time at every chinese restaurant. They actually used something like General Gaus chicken, which is battered chopped them up and served them as Szechuan chicken aka Kung Pao chicken. Chicken teriyaki was very dried, and hot and sour soup was nothing like any other chinese restaurant. But at least I have one good meal out of three. 3 stars for now, but will revisit and see what they have for the rest on their menu. read more

Sushi was pretty decent and reasonably priced. No issues there. My problems were with the waitress as well as the sushi chef. We entered and were told by the chef to sit where we wanted. No hello. No nothing. Waitress came by and put some menus on the table. Again, no greeting. She came back a few moments later and asked what we wanted for drinks. I asked if they had iced green tea. She made a face, so I asked for hot green tea. That made more sense, as she jotted that down. Wife just had water. We ordered a sushi/shashimi combo plate for two. It came around pretty quickly. It was... just sushi and sashimi. As I said, tasted fine, but nothing fancy. Garnish was very lacking. I don't need a lot of garnish, but places that don't add some neat bit of garnish to their plates are usually much cheaper than this one. Trade-offs, you know? We were never offered refills, and were never asked how we were doing until it was noticed that our plate was empty. Only then were we asked if we enjoyed the meal. I understand off nights, but to have this little interaction with your customers just turned me off fa bit. My wife is one of those that doesn't believe in tipping less than 15% under any circumstances, so I feel like we condoned the lack of attention, sadly. We will probably come back if we feel like sushi and don't want to drive much more than a stone's throw from home, but it's certainly not going to be my top choice. Anyway, was full of tasty sushi at the end of the night, so what more can a guy want? read more

One of my favorite sushi places in the northern Mass, southern NH area and a must every time I'm in town. Love their vast variety of rolls, fresh fish and their willingness to uncrunchify (take out the tempura) their spicy rolls so that they are a bit healthier (and to me tastier). I can do with out the sake spray bottle thingy, last time I was there they didn't do that so maybe they stopped... It's a small place, I'm not sure they take reservations but if you are going on the weekend you might want to check! read more

Good food, but forget about Covid safety measures. I ordered take-out for curbside pickup, and the person accepted the order. When I arrived for the pickup and called the restaurant they said I should enter the restaurant and pick up the food. I stated I couldn't do that, and reminded them they agreed to a curbside pickup. The person then stormed out of the restaurant and left the food on the sidewalk - very rude. They won't be getting my business after things open up again. read more

I gave this place a 2 because I received a very tasteless Hot and Sour Soup. My Lunch combination platter tasted like cornstarch and the crab rangoons were so small. I have been going here for many years and this was the best in my book to Hot and Sour Soup but now I think that will change. On the flip side the remodel was very nice for a change. read more

I love sushi time! I've come here a bunch of times now and I haven't been disappointed in any of my meals. I haven't delved to far past the appetizers and sushi menu but that's what I'd highly recommend anyways. The crab Rangoon and scallion pancakes are to die for and the sashimi and any raw fish is always fresh. It's a perfect place to go if you're looking for a large variety of sushi! They have a huge selection of special maki and the usual maki and it's allllll good. The sashimi for two is such a large selection too. The staff is always friendly and constantly making sure you have everything you need. read more

This is absolutely the goto place in southern New Hampshire for sushi. The menu is extensive offereing the best fresh sushi in the area. The price points are also more than reasonable with rolls starting at around $4. The drink menu is 6 pages long offering drinks at prices lower than most any other restaurant in the area. I was surprised when my friend suggested trying this place a year or so ago. Sushi time? Sounds like the burger king of sushi places. yet I was extremely surprised at how amazing this place is. First off the fish is extremely fresh, i've never had my order messed up, and I get treated like family when I walk in. And really, how can you beat having sake squirted in your mouth with a squirt bottle? I continue to frequent this restaurant as I've never had a bad meal or experience yet. Way to go!! read more

While I was at Sushi Time I ordered a bunch of different types of Sashimi and Nigiri. Unfortunately, it was incorrectly input multiple times. The first time our waiter never actually recorded our orders and just walked away after we had finished going around the table. (He came back on a separate occasion with some random udon?) When he came the third time our waiter violated any semblance of personal space and wrote our orders down while staring into our faces. (One of the most awkward dining experiences I've ever had) The food itself was merely passable; the experience definitely knocked the general reception down quite a few stars and left us apprehensive about visiting again. read more

Been here since long before the remodel and it's always been fantastic. The owners know my boyfriend and I personally and are always happy to see us. The sushi is the best quality I've found in NE. They have the freshest fish, and the Kani salad is a must try, (You get it once and you'll always get it). The sushi here is actually quite good which is surprising because the location isn't great & from the outside it looks like a place you would never want to go into. The inside is nicer but definitely nothing upscale! The Chinese food offered is okay nothing great. After having to go to Salem or Portsmouth, NH for sushi that was worth it, I'm glad I heard about sushi time! I found that their selection and pricing was agreeable, and I have to say I was impressed with that came out on the plate, from my initial impression from its location. The plaza where it is located made me think that it might be lacking in quality, but I was proved wrong when I finally went. The waitstaff was very attentive, and made sure everything was to my satisfaction. The specials were clearly displayed and I could see the sushi being prepared, so that's a plus in my book. In the end I received food that I usually pay more for. The chefs even took the time to get creative with the presentation. Near the end of the meal, I was ambushed with the sake attack! Our server appeared with a squeeze bottle of sake, and we got a free shot of sake, which was nice. Some people I've talked with complained about sanitation concerns, but you can politely refuse the saki attack. We were asked, so no worries. I was in a rush, so I ordered a roll, and I was pleasantly surprised. read more

Let me say this first. Best. Sushi. Ever. The food and drinks our always great. My issue has always been with the service at this place. I have a family with small children. We always try to come early for lunch and it's pretty quite and easy to enjoy with a family, however they had a server that would TOUCH my baby, like patting on the head and grabbing her hands etc. it happened evertime he would come to our table. So like 4 to 5 times per visit. We stopped going because of him and it bummed us out. Cause we love the food! They may have gotten rid of him by now because the last couple times we came in he wasn't there. My 3 star is from our service last night. We came in with an infant a two year old and a 10 year old. They decided to sit us right behind a large group of drunk 21 year olds cussing bouncing around so much that the booth (which seemed broken loosened on the backrest) was bouncing on my back while I was holding my baby trying to nurse, and they were just sloppy. I love to party like the next guy, but I would hope they would have more common sense then to seat us next to a bunch of jocks learning how to drink at dinner time. We literally asked for our order to be wrapped up so we could eat it in the car. it sucked. read more

Having been to Sushi Time many times over the years and always loving it, tonight was a marked change. They recently remodeled into what could be considered a mall food court, it is very very loud, open and obnoxious. A large bar is now next to the dining area. We spent 114 for two people only to be forced to listen to drunks at the bar scream, swear and threaten other patrons. I get people can get loud but that's not what was happening. I don't want to hear the F word screamed by a bunch of middle aged drunk asses making fools of themselves. The bigger issue isn't that it happened, it's that the staff did nothing about it. We aren't talking about a little loud talk and some bar carrying on, it sounded like a fight was going to break out. The food was more less unchanged from previous visits but the new environment is not what it used to be. Sometimes change isn't always for the best. read more

This has a lot of American sushi (typically specialty rolls) and it's really, really good and you can't beat the price. For the newbies, the combo platters are a perfect introduction and great deal. The owner/manager is super friendly and the staff tries really hard. They recently doubled in size putting in a really nice bar. They also have other traditional Asian fare and it's very good. Eat in or take out, this is my favorite sushi spot in the merrimack valley area. Sometimes very packed but if you hit just right you can have the whole place to your self.
