Salmon Roll
Reeta B.

One of my besties and I went to this restaurant for dinner. We went on a weekday night and had a pretty easy time getting a table even though the place is small and didn't have a ton of tables. The service was quick, kind, and very helpful. When it comes to sushi I love raw salmon and am allergic to avocados so I ordered the Orange Blossom Roll and a Salmon Roll. The prices are super reasonable which made me want to order more things than I probably normally would. The food was so good that even though it's been a couple of weeks since I went to the restaurant for dinner, I'm still thinking about it. I will very likely be ordering more things next time! Also for those who are not sushi fans like I am, they have a huge menu with plenty of non-sushi foods too. I can't wait to go back! Also just as an added plus, they have plenty of free parking with their own lot right out front.

The staff did a great job establishing a comfortable environment. The hospitality and niceties of the staff were genuine and professional. The food exceeded my expectations. The server was knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations! The pad Thai was spicy in all the right ways!

So good every time! We love sunset & sunrise but sex on the moon was a new roll. They were all so good. Will definitely be back

Chirashi bowl, not impressed

How does this place get such a high rating? Chirashi bowl was probably a 3, not al that impressive looking. The soy sauce was horrendous, bland low quality soy sauce like product made with mostly water and coloring. Tom kha soup was so salty, had a thick texture like a curry, and missing the usual herbs (lemongrass, lime leaf, and cilantro).

Customer service was great , restaurant was very cute and quaint on the inside , and the food was fresh and hot .

Tamago and seared hamachi are great. Senator favorite roll is very tasty.

Always GREAT service and excellent food. Quaint spot. Sushi & shashimi are awesome. Tonkatsu ramen is solid. Worth a visit.

This place is a gem. Better than that BS from East Pho. Flavor everywhere. This is a must stop.

Dirty ol man roll

Stopped in after going paintballing and needing some serious calories replenished! This place was delicious and the service was great. The ambiance is on point and very tranquil and comfortable. We ordered garlic edamame, Dirty old man roll, Angry tuna roll, First love roll, Orange blossom roll, Triple Crown roll, and the Baked Alaska. They were all delicious!!

The restaurant is in a small strip mall. It looks like nothing but don't let that fool you. It is a hidden gem and as you see, it has really great reviews. I searched the reviews before we picked a spot and this one had the best and for a great reason!! We sat at the bar because the booths were taken and we didn't want to sit at the tables that were tight together. It was a small restaurant. The lady behind the bar took our order and the lady waiting on the tables got our drinks. It was an easy process. I got the walk away roll, small house salad, and gyoza as an appetizer. My favorite thing was the walk away roll. I usually don't like salmon in rolls but this was sooooooo good. The fried part wasn't too thick and had a sweet flavor on it. So good! All the flavors meshed so well. The gyoza was really good as well. Very light and flavorful. My least fav was the house salad. I felt like the ginger dressing was watered down and was very runny. The pricing was decent too. It wasn't too expensive. I thought it was just right. You have to try this spot if you are in town. The food was amazing!!

This is my favorite restaurant in the Nashville & surrounding areas. It's in a strip mall in Hermitage and once you enter, the ambiance is great. The sushi is fresh and the Tom Kha soup in out of this world delicious. I'm addicted to everything about it. My favorite dish is the crab fried rice (add bean sprouts) ...it's so good and comforting. Don't skip the matcha crepe cake for dessert! The owner and the staff are amazing. The server, Tony, always takes great care of us. Go check this place out! You will be happy you did!

The Thai food here is great!! The staff was lovely !!! The place is clean and convenient to the interstate. They have a huge menu. I've never had their sushi but if it's half as good as the Thai it'll be awesome ! We got the red curry chicken and the green curry chicken and they were both excellent! I also got the Tom Kha Kha soup and that was soooo yummy ! I'll def go back ! Their lunch menu prices are awesome too !

little bit of a rough area but the food was great! very affordable and very kind staff. we got to go and were in and out. the summer rolls didnt have noodles which suprised me so probably wouldn't pick again but everything else was great!

Mango Tango

The restaurant is perfection! Every element of the experience from the service to the food was exceptional. Started with the garlic edamame and gyoza. Then we tried the Mango Tango and Sex on the Moon rolls... incredible. Finished off with some amazing Mango sticky rice. Pleasantly surprised to find this spot in Hermitage, put some of the downtown locations to shame!

We decided to stay and give it a try as they offered pho too and who doesn't love a delicious bowl of pho (yes! In 100 degrees weather). The place is nothing fancy but it has the essentials. They do need to update the bathrooms asap. They smell funky and the sink feels like it could come on you at any moment. The place it's small with about 6 tables of 4 chairs each. The decor is plain and simple but decently clean. The parking is very tricky but it has access to the hotel and Taco Bell's parking if I remember correctly. The parking does wrap around the back to the front parking. The shopping center has other options for food as well like Mexican and gyros. It also has other stores with other services and products like a discount tobacco and martial arts club. The food is decent. We ordered we ordered their regular tuna roll, one of their specialty rolls and their beef pho. The sushi really needs more practice and better fish honestly. The tuna has too much hard parts and it was very hard to chew at some pieces to the point of having to gratuitously taking out of your mouth and put it in a napkin as you could not chew it up to swallow. The phone on the other hand was their Hail Mary. It was very good. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There wasn't anyone before we came in so we had free range to choose any table we wanted. The service was fast. I'm not sure about the auxin but definitely pho is good and it's nice to have a good pho place near for this winter. Come check it out!!! Ps: no pictures of the pho because well, it was very good ...

Our former town had a…read morelarge population of Thai, Laotian, and Cambodians so there were some pretty damn good places to get Thai food. This place easily ranks up their with the restaurants we used to frequent in CA. Today we had the Red Curry chicken extra hot, the Chicken Jalapeno extra hot and a Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box. Every bite was very fresh and loaded with delicious flavors. Whoever they have as the chef(s) is doing a helluva a good job! Service was really good to and the ambience is where you can easily sit across from someone at your table and carry on a conversation without being drowned out by the TV's or loud noises. I'd highly recommend this place, the food is exceptionally good.

I ordered spring rolls, which were fried. Although they confirmed they were fresh rolls. No biggy, still tasty. Also ordered Thai samurai fried rice and red curry chicken. Very tasty. Especially the red curry was super flavorful. Full of Rich flavor and. Loads of veggies and meat. A 5 stars for that dish. Definitely worth it's money. I highly recommend this place if you are a Thai fan. Did not try any of the sushi or other Japanese dishes

If you walk into a restaurant at 7pm on a Wednesday night and the place is fully packed and there…read moreare people waiting behind you to be sat, you KNOW you made the right decision to go there. We were greeted nicely by the hostess and waited roughly 5 minutes for a table to open up. A family of five came in right after us and decided to sit at the bar to eat. I knew in my heart that this was the best place to go to for my husband's birthday dinner. We sat on some barstools while we waited, discussing the hockey game playing on the tv behind the bar. I loved the low ambient lighting that spread across the ceiling. Our waitress was nice but she never gave us her name so I unfortunately can't shout her out. She gave us recommendations so I ended up taking one of hers. Now, if you have read my Thai restaurant reviews, you know by now that I judge a Thai restaurant by ordering their Pad Thai the first visit, however, I broke that rule because I just KNEW this place was going to be good. We ordered the Tom Kha soup with chicken, Pad Kee Mao with chicken, I ordered the Khao Soi Gai (it comes with chicken, no substitutions), and one Thai iced tea. You guys. When the Tom Kha soup touched my lips, I was SO excited to get the main course! It was made PERFECTLY. I haven't had true Tom Kha since probably when I lived in California over a decade ago. The Thai tea was strong and delicious, exactly how it should be made. The Khao Soi Gai...that first sip of the curry broth nearly made me go Meg Ryan-mode in the restaurant. If you know, you know. "I'll have what she's having!" Our waitress recommended this dish and I'm so glad I was adventurous and tried something different outside of my "I'll judge you based off of your Pad Thai" attitude. It was perfect and when I say perfect, I didn't even add lime juice to it because I didn't want to mess anything up with the flavor profile. Sure, lime could have added another element to the dish but when I say it was perfect the way it was, it's true. The night at Smiley would have ended perfectly if it weren't for the miserable couple who sat beside us discussing how unhappy they were in their marriage and decided to accept the waitstaff into their broken marriage by being completely rude. But the staff remained professional and kind through it all and I give them HUGE props for that because I was a moment away from telling that wretched couple off. In short, the staff here are wonderful, and the food is memorable, delectable, delicious, perfect...it's HEAVEN. We will DEFINITELY be back to try other menu items!

The miso soup was great and my 3 rolls came out not much longer after my soup! Everything was fresh and tasty.
