Steamed Pork Gyoza- 9/10 Miso Egg drop soup- 7.8/10 Hibachi chicken- 7.2/10 Kendall roll- 5.7/10 Interesting place- weird ambiance (right next to a gas station with huge open windows). Very nice staff, it was slow so services with quick. Only had 3 types of red wine despite like 20+ on the menu. Gyoza was great, soup was interesting and a real good portion for the price. Hibachi chicken was a great portion size, but was a bit bland. Sushi was rough. Good quality fish, but the rice was SUPER dry, even when drenched in soy sauce. Good value for the amount of food, especially given the islamorada curve. Probably won't come back for dinner, but a solid lunch spot for something that won't break the bank. read more

From Southern California, visited friends out who live in Key Largo this is one of the last of numerous restaurants we went to over the course of a week out in the keys. And yeah while I gave it 3 stars. It's actually a good 3 stars. Mainly because felt as though most of the food in the keys was pretty average. While it kind of was here as well, good things I can say was the place inside was nice and a good size considering it looked small outside. But inside it was nice, our service was whatever. Waitress didn't seem like she wanted to be there. But did her part to take care of us. The sushi was good and more on surprising side . The food is reasonably priced, especially compared to how most things in the keys are little more but it's understandable. Price didn't really matter too us but was something I noticed. It was a safe bet and glad we actually enjoyed it compared to a lot around. So yeah lean towards recommending if you are in the mood for sushi. read more

It's been a year since I was traveling off the Keys, and I saw this cute little restaurant and it's been on my mind since So traveling from Tampa to Key West, I just had to stop in. Easy parking, handicap accessible, clean bathrooms nicely decorated restaurant, this hit I all the check marks We were quickly seated for lunch, and our server brought over menus, and a fresh picture of water. My friend ordered the shrimp fried rice, and I ordered the chicken stirfry hibachi. The shrimp fried rice is self-explanatory and was a generous portion. My chicken stirfry hibachi consisted of about a cup of chicken, diced, a little overcooked, along with some delicious fried rice and some soy sauce based fried vegetables. These fried vegetables were delicious, the rice was sticky enough to use the chopsticks with. Sarah, our server suggested an angel roll, which consisted of shrimp and some other goodies, including avocado on top with fish roe. This was on point and absolutely delicious Sarah was very kind, and answered all my questions, thoroughly. So if you're traveling through the lower keys, looking for a lunch spot, this might hit for you. I really enjoyed it. My friend really enjoyed it. I'd like to start by saying the food was wonderful. However, the service was terrible. The teenagers that are working as servers do not know what they are doing. Our server seemed like she did not want to be there at all. No refills were inquired on and we didn't receive our food at the same time. The restaurant was half full. It was not that busy for the service we were given. We are locals dinning here, so it was upsetting to endure. We had to go up to the counter to receive to go boxes and our check and we had to ask for a meal to go because it was not ready. Very upsetting, hope management improves here. Sad to make a review like this. I am a local of the keys. I have seen Sushi saki but I have never ordered. I would always go to Kaiyo Grill. Trying to give your restaurant a chance. Ordered tonight and I was disappointed. The only meal that was good was my husband's. My sushi was a lobster rolls, and tuna pizza both awful. I had asked to please add cream cheese to my Lobster roll and that did happen. The lobster tasted like gum. Unfortunately I will not be going back for sushi. That's for sure. I hope the owners sees this and makes some changes. read more

Excellent service. I had the Bobby Salad as I wasn't that hungry. It was fabulous. My husband had steak hibachi and added shrimp and I brought half of it home! The people that work there are friendly and courteous. They have takeout too! Highly recommend. read more

Amazing experience. How we found this fabulous restaurant is a simple answer... YELP! We stayed at the Cheeca across the street that happened to have a very over priced sushi option but not to worry we pulled hopped and Yelp and found a wonderful option in walking distance. Needless to say this sushi restaurant did not disappoint. It was fabulous! The decor was super cute with two beautiful stone statues outside. We ordered the wahoo Tataki, is was fresh and delicious. We also had the spicy conch roll seaweed outside. And the little guy had fried still tofu and cheese maki which he loved. The service was excellent there with ample places to park. Love them! They are not chain, but awesome owners, many unique restaurants, decor, staff, and above all, great sushi! Some of the sushi is unique to each location, decor varies, and all beautiful! First thing. It was absolutely freezing inside. Don't go in wearing shorts or a sundress ladies. I is quite costly. First time I've ever have been charged by the piece for sushi. Except in really high end places. Portion sizes were small. I ordered the seafood noodles. The plate was dinner sized but only half the plate had food on it. Making it seem like something was missing on it. It would have been better on a small plate or even in a bowl. The sauce was chef's specialty. We liked this new place! We thought the sushi was good & creative, and there were some nice happy hour specials (including craft beer!). 4-7 is a great happy hour window too! I would have preferred to see more of the happy hour food menu, but the waitress only had it on her toast device, nothing to lay your eyes on the ingredients & price, so we hope that changes for the better. The happy hour menu also says "all beers" are $5, but it turned out some on the Japanese craft beer list are not, so we were glad we asked. We had the crispy rice sushi special roll (see pic), the crunchy chopped tuna roll, and the JB roll with salmon - the first two definitely stood out as our favorites! The edamame was a bit paltry in serving size, less than half a small soup bowl, and it was over-zapped and under-seasoned, so I wouldn't order that again. First off I would like to say I've tried multiple times to give this place the benefit of the doubt but wow. First off over the phone she told me the price for 4 pieces of masago sushi she said $12. I get there and on the receipt says $20. I get home and open everything up and the pieces of sushi are literally the size of a penny and miniature . All the sushi tasted old like it had been sitting for days. They didn't even cut my sushi all the way down it literally was just a fat roll stuck together. Shouldn't be this careless when their restaurant has no customers in it. Don't waste your money on this place go to Num Thai in key largo for fresh and affordable sushi. read more

Walked into the restaurant at 8:30, the boy at the host stand told us they were already closed because they close at 9. To which we replied okay, but that it says 10 online, just so they know. He told us we must be looking at one of their different locations, overall, unfriendly. Just wanted sushi, visiting in the middle of May, don't trust their online store times. read more

Sushi Shady. This place has horrible service. They always forget your soup or salad. They offer to bring it after your main arrives, but no one wants that. The offer refills on your ice tea without telling you that there aren't refills and charge you another $3 each time. Even worse if you are having the lunch special, that is actually an ok deal. They will offer to upgrade your rice. They don't tell you the up charge is $11, almost as much as your lunch. Never eat dinner here. It's a rip off. The lunch special is a good deal but only Monday to Friday. Remind them that you would like your soup or salad before the main course, or you won't get it before your main. If at all. read more

Decent food and reasonable prices but the service was terrible. One of our party got their food, 5 min later another person got their food. 10 minutes after that my daughter got one simple California roll and it took another 10 minutes before I finally got my two rolls. They told me they ran out of salad, but I wasn't offered something else or a menu to order a new option from, and I could t even ask because she made that statement and quickly ran off. Luckily they "found some lettuce in the back" and were able to get my salad after all. Finally I did get food 5 mintues after the last person in our party, however one was a roll I didn't order and another was sent out with asparagus when I asked for it to be omitted and substituted with jalapeños. By this time I was just over it and asked for my food to be boxed and the check. They charged us almost 250 dollars for a kids meal, a California roll, two wrong rolls, and my husband got the sushimi platter that was $75, plus non alcoholic drinks. They don't like vacationers that's for sure. Very snotty and rude, and I very rarely make a poor review as I feel people make mistakes. This was just a situation where we felt very disregarded. I live in Islamorada and been here a few times. Sushi and service was sub par. There are much better sushi places in the keys. This used to be Tower of Pizza and it was way better. Not a fan of the replacement. But the remodeling is very nice. read more

Pleasant staff. Middle of the pack prices. Definitely NOT JAPANESE in spite of the labels. The rice was mixed with several spices and cooked in a sauce. There was at least 1/3 of a pound served on the plate with the main course. Japanese rice should be served plain in its own bowl so you can eat it with other foods with chop sticks. It's part of the joy of exotic eating. The squid (or if you have a touchy gut, "calamari") and shrimp were mixed with assorted "steam fried" vegetables like stew rather than the advertised hibachi. The lettuce salad was covered with a 1/2 inch layer of what looked and tasted like a poor imitation of Kraft 1000 Island dressing. The seaweed salad side dish was excellent. The miso soup was fairly good but served generously in too large a bowl. A glass of what was on the menu as New Zealand Pinot Grigio tasted like sweetened hot sauce. Everything except the seaweed tasted as if it had sugar added. I half jokingly commented to my family that I doubted that the chef was Japanese. We passed the kitchen on the way out and GUESS WHAT!!
