They can be as busy place, and had no seating for dining in since Covid, just takeout, but they have put some tables and chairs back into the restaurant. The server forgot my tea. Then it was a different server who took my order. The plating and rolling of the sushi was low quality and the fish was frozen and mushy. The servers shoes were dirty sneakers and maybe this is something I noticed from managing. But the food was equivalent to the un-polished service. The salmon was also sockeye and I feel as though they should specify that on the menu. Wouldn't return.

I ordered the Gyu Donburi and a side order of the Saba Sushi Roll. The donburi was magnificent; it tasted appropriately sweet, the rice was moist and the beef was flavourful. I also enjoyed the salad that came with the entree. The saba roll was especially great. The waiter was alert to my needs and was courteous about her service. The interior design was nice, although it looked like it was something else before it became a Japanese restaurant. I very much liked Little Japan and will come back again.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE TODAY!…read more I went there for lunch, initially with low expectations but hoping the food and experience was good...and boy was I disappointed. When I ordered my food, the waiter came out with a completely different meal and would NOT offer to bring the meal back and get me my correct meal. The meal was not even remotely close to what I ordered and instead, he said "oh, but this meal is a dollar cheaper...." as if the price is what I was most concerned with? After I was forced to keep my meal at the end of my experience I asked him to box up the remaining half of my meal and he said okay. He came back over with the bills, and I asked him if he was going to bring my food back in a box and he literally told me he threw it out!! He threw out HALF MY MEAL! After this he did not offer to reimburse me, he did not offer to correct it, he offered NO HELP OR SUPPORT. I even called the restaurant later in the day to speak to a manager about it and the female manager said this was the first she was hearing of the experience....meaning he hid this from her. After speaking to the manager she did not offer to correct this horrible experience either. Absolute worst experience I have ever had at any restaurant in my life.

I also had the Unagi Donburi for my main course, and it was perfection. The unagi meat was piquant and succulent, the rice was great, and I even like the mango pieces it came with. The service was very considerate, especially during the busy haul. The waiter served me whenever I needed it and even replaced my chopsticks when I dropped one of them. The interior design of the restaurant is memorable; it had blossoms hung up and TVs playing Jpop music videos. I highly recommend Kojan for the great Sushi and Korean food.
