A few days ago we had ordered a large plate of tempura for over $17. This was a mixture of fish, calamari and our favorite - the vegetable tempura. It's almost embarrassing how they slice the already super-thin piece of a potato into tiny pieces. So instead of having a nice large piece of a yam or potato tempura, you get four tiny potato tempuras. How cheap can you get? The batter didn't want to stick on one side while the other side was globbed up with thick crusty and messy dough. When we picked it up it was feather-light. What are we paying for here?
