I eat here WAY to much! I think it's unnatural on how many times I order from here. I always get delivery and they come in around 30 minutes. The lady that takes my order knows my order as soon as I say hello. She always remembers my once in awhile orders. My favorite dish is Salmon Hibachi. It's just cooked to perfection. I don't know what is in it that makes me crave this all the time. The portion is great! I have had a lot of other dishes there and it's good. I just keep going back to my fav. My boo is being all healthy, so he get Healthy Steamed Chicken and Mixed Veggies. He loves it. The sushi is good. I tend to get the Dynamite roll a lot. We have tried their other rolls and no complaints. Writing this makes me want to order. read more

Quality is everything to me and this place definitely showed quality, at least with our General Tso chicken we ordered. I was getting my eyebrows waxed and my boyfriend walked over to this restaurant for a simple order. I had to have half of his order because I have to Yelp about something to you guys. This was the best generals chicken I've tasted in Jacksonville. It was just a tad bit too sweet but the quality was great. The pieces of chicken weren't huge and chewy, but rather smaller and very crispy. We will definitely come here every time I get my eyebrows waxed and probably in between those times as well. If you're cruising down Atlantic Blvd you might miss it, but finding it will probably be worth your while. Happy Yelping... read more

Sushi N Wok - General Tso chicken with white rice! Yum! - Sushi Bars Near Me - Jacksonville, Florida

The restaurant was empty and the person you ordered from seemed very confused on what we ordered. What we were given was missing items and when we asked for them she asked the cook in the back. He yelled at her to the point she stopped talking and it made for a very uncomfortable lunch. The sushi was not what was ordered or even close, they substituted cream cheese for avocado without asking. The actual hot food was okay and very standard american-chinese fare. read more

My order of General Tso's chicken had parts that were fried too hard and some pieces were mushy. The egg roll was also mushy inside. They dynamite rolls tasted funky as well. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Okay, I have to be really honest here....I came here out of necessity, not because I wanted. But on Valentine's Day, I had planned to cook dinner for my wife but kid duties took us out of our game plan and she said,"Can you pick up some sushi or Chinese food". So scouring Yelp, this seemed to hit the mark for both. Okay, it does not look like a place I would frequent and I have not been in this shopping center since Pattaya Thai moved across town.....15 years ago. But while it did not look like much, the Yelp reviews were good, very good. The order itself took about 15 minutes, which included four sushi rolls and three entrees. Seemed reasonable and as I waited, I realized that most people call ahead, which I could not do because I had no idea their menu. Darn, darn, darn, I really hate waiting. I did not try the Sushi, but my kids devoured it quickly. The Orange Chicken was okay, the Honey Chicken was delightful and the Moo Shoo Chicken (with heavenly plum sauce) was amazing. They even said they deliver to my neighborhood, so that is a real plus. Do I think it was out of this world, no, and I have still not found my "go to" asian restaurant in Jacksonville. However, the food is good, well prepared and easy on the wallet. read more

I don't like to try new Chinese counter service restaurants since it's usually a hit or miss, unfortunately this place is a miss for me. I ordered for pick up and I have to agree with other reviews about the poor service. The lady that took my order was very short on the phone and not welcoming in person. They have a couple tables that you can count on one hand for seating, however I got distracted by a table was occupied by a child and man. The table was a mess, with scraps all over and child was eating from a metal prep pan. I'm assuming it was the owner's daughter or family member. The man quickly cleaned it up after I entered the restaurant, not a sight that was very appealing. Now to the food. We ordered several dishes: General Tso's Chicken, Chicken Lo Mein, Kung Pao Chicken, Bourbon Chicken and California Roll. Based on the reviews, it seemed like the Chinese food was good, but the rolls were poor quality; however I had the opposite experience. The California Roll was the only thing that looked and tasted normal. We received something else io the Lo Mein, not even sure what it was. Overall the food was mediocre. The fried rice was very yellow, hard / borderline inedible, some of the veggies didn't look very fresh, and the meats weren't very tender. The white rice that came with one of the dish looked old and not white in color. I was surprised by the total too bc I ordered base on menu from yelp photos which reflected old prices. The hubby thought it wasn't that bad, but I think maybe he was hungry. Lol The leftovers were definitely all his and there were plenty of it. The one thing I was surprised about is when I left, the lady was actually nice and said thank you very much, but that's not enough to make me want to go back. read more

Veggie fried rice was full of veggies and came to the house nice and hot. Sushi wasn't good. Rolls were not rolled well and fell apart when you picked them up. Got the dragon roll and the spicy tuna was chopped up and was a weird color red and tasted grainy. Don't recommend this place. Delivery driver drove on all over our grass. read more

If I could rated lower I would. I was starving and decided to give this place a chance despite the negative reviews. it was just absolutely disgusting, the shrimp tasted stale, it was just very unpleasant to eat. Will never go back to this place again. read more

OK given the reviews are mixed I was skeptical. When I walked in I asked about a mushroom allergy and soon realized the guy taking my order spoke no English. He called someone else for me to speak to. I can see the customer service issues..which to me are related to language barrier. He was not rude just confused. The food looked very well in presentation it tasted ok it could have been fresher. I kind of have mixed reviews on this one it's better than some other places but not my favorite. Would I try again definitely read more

Without a doubt, the best Chinese take-out in the city. It's in a seedy place in Arlington, but who cares? Andy and his wife take care to give you amazing food at more than reasonable prices. Their sushi is fabulous. read more

Sushi N Wok - Sushi Bars Near Me - Jacksonville, Florida

Best Chinese in Jacksonville!! We have been eating here for the past 6 years and they have been consistent and have not let us down!! The food is fabulous and has flavor, unlike the other Chinese takeouts in Jacksonville!! It is ran by a family that actually cares about their customers! They want you to be happy and appreciate your business! I love their Chicken Lo-mein and my husband always gets the Bourbon Chicken, we also usually get their Crabmeat Rangoon's and they are perfectly sweet!! The portions are large!! I've tried literally every other Chinese place around and NONE of them compare to this place!! The others are just plain and bland!! read more

Went here for the first time today, and can't see myself coming back anytime soon. Ordered sesame chicken with vegetables added to the fried rice. First they make their fried rice from yellow rice. That's faking it to the worst degree to me. Second, they sell me old and hard azz chicken. The flavor of the sauce was good, but no way could I eat the chicken. The sad part is, when I first walked into the place, I could see them frying fresh chicken and shrimp, and that was brought out to the owner and his wife and kid. There was also some prefried meat sitting in a basket over the fryer. That's what they gave me. I seen this with my own eyes, the meat over the fryer was not there when I looked before I left Never again. read more

I want to review as I saw one review where this guy was charged on his credit card for tip. Same thing happened to me on my credit card. I was charged for wrong amount than what I paid. I gave $5 tip for my $25 food. But they changed it to $15 by putting 1 ahead of my $5 tip. I hope someone should call police for their fradulent activity on people money. I never went to this place afterward. Food was not that great anyways. read more

I really like how the sushi tastes and is made. Excellent. I can't leave my house because of my disability, but they have a reasonable delivery fee that I can afford. read more

They're always quick on delivery and the food is always good. Everything tastes freshly cooked and always arrives hot.

Great place. Clean, fast, great quality Chinese food. Sushi rolls were pretty good, but the honey chicken was awesome. If you like orange chicken, you got to give the honey chicken a try. I enjoyed the bagel roll because I love cream cheese in my sushi. read more

One of the dirtiest, rudest restaurants I've ever been to. Soon as I stepped in the door they looked at me and didn't even acknowledge me. I was the only guest in the establishment. After I stood at the counter for several finally a very rude lady took my order. I ordered my favorite. General tso chicken combo. The chicken was very mushy and the rice tasted mushy as well as if it cooked for too long. I also ordered lean legs which were super oily. And to top it all off they just sat my food on the counter without telling me so I was just sitting there waiting for SEVEN minutes without knowing that was my food until one of their kids who were playing in the front told me. UNPROFESSIONAL! Please go somewhere else. The service is horrific read more

Only been here once but they definitely made it easy wanting to make a return trip. I had the Dragon and Phoenix dish. It was a perfect blend of General Sho chicken and shrimp. I also had a Philadelphia roll, which they made fresh when I got there to pick up my order. All and all I was happy with my order. read more

Order both beef and broccoli and chicken & cashews I will say I found the beef a little tough however chicken was in very large pieces & excellent quality highly recommend that item. As a suggestion consider adding more tempura items read more

This place is a fraud. Please be carefully in giving your credit card. I had a pick up and my charge was $19.29. So I wrote $0 in the tip and i put cash tip in jar. I later found they made my $0 tip to $10 by putting 1 ahead of $0. I have to call my credit card company to take that $10 extra tip off my account which I never tipped.Food was ok and the only reason I went was because it was 4.5 star but they stole my money without my permission. I think they should be more professional and do their business more legit rather than stealing people money of their credit card. I am never going again to this place and others please put a strike in he tip section if you don't internd to leave a tip on pick up. read more

I was skeptic upon reading all the reviews on yelp, but after last night, I'd agree that this is the best chinese food in jacksonville. fast, friendly, and very fair priced. read more

I love this place! They have consistently satisfied all of my Chinese food cravings! I always order takeout and the lady knows my number and order by heart now. I could never see myself eating in here although they do have an eating area. The only let down for me here is the sushi. I LOVE sushi but I'm not a fan of their sushi in the least. But what they do know how to do is make some bomb Chinese food so thats what i'll continue to come back here for. read more

Customer service is everything. Didn't even get to try food from this restraunt because I asked for delivery and the lady on the phone said, "You can't pick up?" And I said, "Sorry, unfortunately not." And then she asked for the area I want the delivery, And then she said, "We no deliver there, bye bye." and hung up before I can say anything. And I know for a fact that they deliver in my area. Even if this restaurant is busy, they shouldn't treat their customers like they are disposable. No one likes to be hung up on or treated as such. Simple manners. read more

Saw a coupon in the mint magazine and decided to give this a try. I had been disappointed with the Chinese deliveries I had been using. This food was fantastic. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we ordered again the following day. I may eat inside next time. The summer sushi, recommend by the clerk was really good! read more

The sushi was not good. I ordered a volcano roll and I got something that looked like a dynamite roll with crab (maybe) thrown on top. The dynamite roll didn't taste or look like rolls I've eaten before either I was pretty shocked due to the positive reviews I read prior to ordering. The dinner combos were ok, but really bummed about the sushi. read more

Seriously one of the best Chinese places I've ever gone to. I used to go to this place all. the. time. when I lived in Florida. I'm pretty sure if I called in my regular order of house special lo mein and shrimp tempura with extra shrimp sauce they'd know it was me. I don't recall the service ever being bad. Yeah, they can be short on the phone, but they appear to be a family business and are tackling quite a workload in that kitchen. Don't expect to be treated like royalty and don't waste their time. Order your food, be respectful, and they'll be awesome right back. It's that easy. Also, don't use yelp for prices. They have a menu there in the restaurant for a reason. ;) I make it a point to go back here every time I'm in town. read more

This food was unremarkable. I wouldn't order from Sushi N Wok again even though the delivery was fast, the food just wasn't good.

The egg rolls were great, so were the dynamite rolls. beef lo mien was kinda ok the beef was spongy, i ordered katsu chicken and could not wait for the wonderful panko coated and fried meat cut into strips, but got something that resembled leftover chicken scraps fried with the sweet and sour chicken coating and it came with a dumpling sauce. so wrong. read more

After living in Japan, Taiwan and the Philippines during my 21 Yrs in the Navy I kind of consider myself a pretty good judge of oriental food. The food wasn't bad and it wasn't good, that was the problem. It had all the ingredients of oriental food but no taste. It was bland. I went there because it was a little closer to my house and I thought I would try some one else's food. Well it's back to "HUNAN WOK" by Winn Dixie on Monument Rd. It truly is the best I have had in Jacksonville. read more

Went to the place this afternoon with my daughter. As you walk in it looks like every other Chinese takeout place I have been to. We ordered the lunch specials General Tso's Chicken and Pepper Steak with opinion and a side vegetable spring roll. I must say the food was so much better than most Chinese take out places. The spring roll was very tasty and not overly greased both the chicken and pepper steak were nicely spiced with a very fresh taste. The portions were large but the price was only $5.65.
