Uni Sashimi (8 pcs)

Been to their other locations but this is my first time here. I'm impressed with the interior of this location. It was a busy Saturday night. I'm glad we made reservations. It's a pretty decent neighbourhood sushi place. I'd come back anytime for a meal.

After hearing about this place multiple times I had to try it out. They seem pretty busy most evenings so I made a reservation in advance. The ordering system is super convenient through a screen at the table and food came quick. The presentation and the fact that they serve cocktails was a huge win. I tried 4 different special rolls and I must say though, they were a little underwhelming in terms of flavor compared to other more affordable sushi spots in Richmond. They have great prices for beer pitchers though which makes it an awesome hangout spot!

Salmon Blossom $19.95 - 8/10

Came to have lunch for 3. Plenty of seating inside, and the interior has lovely Japanese decor with a mix of modern/urban vibes. Our servers were quick and gave us great recommendations. Here's what we ordered: * Double Dragon Roll $18.95 - 8/10 * Salmon Blossom $19.95 - 8/10 * Beef Yaki Udon $17.75 - 10/10 * Deluxe Assorted Sashimi 26pcs $50.95 - 10/10 Each dish was carefully decorated and placed so beautifully on the plate, I almost didn't want to eat them. They were all delicious. Standouts for me was the beef yaki udon for its immense flavor profile, and then the thick pieces of sashimi... literally one piece was enough to send me to heaven. The fish was so fresh! Will definitely be back to eat here next time I'm in Richmond! 20250806

First time trying Sushi Mura. It's a pretty spacious space with lots of seating. Each table has a tablet ordering system which made it easy to browse the menu and make any desired changes to dishes such as removing components. The rolls come out extremely fast and were tasty. We had to try the filet-o-fish roll which was admittedly far better than I expected it to be. One of the better yaki udons I've had in the area also.

Decided to give sushi mura another try after a disappointing experience. This time the visit was in person and the difference was night and day. Ordered some of the same rolls as take out and the sushi was nicely packed together. Sushi rolls were coated in delicious sauce and the fried components were not heavily oiled and crispy

Sashimi I ordered were huge! Tuna was a hit frozen but it was fine to consume. Salmon was amazing as always. Service was good as we were getting checked on frequently. The interior is the usual sushi Mura like their other locations. Overall, great experience!

Great location, nice ambiance, service was good. The space is pretty contemporary and good for large parties. You order on an iPad at the table, so there's no "service" in that aspect. The sushi quality is ok, the prices are on the high side. Lots of dishes are photo quality, but my rolls fell apart quite easily when I picked them up. Our yea cups were never empty for long so that was good also.

Don't know why Sushi Mura across Yelp has such bad ratings! It's one of the top spots recommended by my friends around YVR and I can see why. Each table has a tablet to order from. Service was mediocre as they never offered to refill tea. Two restrooms for women and one for men. Nice presentation and tasty fish. There was a 25 minute wait around 8pm on a Saturday. There is a paid parking garage next door. Most, if not all rolls, come with shredded beet and spring mix for aesthetics but also fibrously help fill one up. Spider Roll - skip the spider roll here as it's 80% cucumber. The flavor and texture of everything else is overwhelmed resulting in an unstable cucumber and rice roll. Unstable because it's wide and falls apart easy with the cucumber weight. Volcano Roll - my favorite roll here although I think there's a bit too much sauce. I believe spicy tuna inside the rolls and the oval shape helps concentrate out the taste of fish, rather than being uniform throughout. This also comes with fantastic chunks of salmon in the center which were delectable. Mura Special - tasty roll with salmon on the outside and tamago inside! The sweet egg alongside it's fluffy texture do help the roll shine as a delicacy balanced by the fatty salmon. Medium for Two - a high value item for a group, there are four rolls (salmon skin, tempura shrimp, California, and scallop) to share plus a set of nigiri. Fish on the nigiri tasted very fresh and were appropriately sized.

Had a great time!! I've never been to this location and I love how spacious it is! We went in a Friday night around 8PM and even though the restaurant was practically filled, we only waited around 15 minutes. The service was exemplary!! Everyone was so kind and patient. The food also came out super very quickly. The King's Roll and House Roll were gigantic-- the size of my fist!! Every bite was filled with bursts of ingredients. We got another roll with mango, imitation crab and shrimp on top (apologizes that I forget the name), and it was ok!! I wish there were actual mango pieces on top instead of just the sauce. The unagi don was not that great for the price. It didn't feel fresh and was way too sticky. The seafood udon stole my heart, especially on this cold, rainy night. The udon was the perfect bounciness and I love how the broth was not too overly salty. They had a variety of different seafood inside and each bite filled me with warmth!! $19 is a bit steep for a bowl of udon, but it was a very good sized portion :) I can't have raw sashimi at the moment but I was amazed by how gigantic their sashimi portions were (from what I saw others ordered). I can't wait to come back and try this!! We ordered five items and it came to around $100 after tax and tips!

This place was very good for the price! There is a lot of seating and the food came out super fast! You order on a tablet and i liked how the rolls all had visuals to see what it looks like. The salmon sashimi was HUGE and tasted super good! My favorite roll of the 3 was the salmon blossom because I love salmon. The other rolls were good as well but I would say the calamari crush was a little bland

Near the 2010 Olympic Oval + Fitness World

Some good friends are fortunate to live in this brand new area built up around the Olympic Oval. Ever since Vancouver hosted the Winter Olympics back in 2010 (and what an event it was!) a huge growth in building development has taken a grip on this entire region of Metro Vancouver. If you had left town prior to 2010 & came back today - you almost wouldn't recognize it. Sushi Mura is this Japanese restaurants third location & it's largest. Very swanky decor, spacious floor & large windows letting in plenty of natural light. I could honestly sit in this restaurant for 3 hours & not want to leave. I love this thriving location because it's away from the hustle of the very busy #3 Road in Richmond. Now that's not to say that this is a quiet sleepy area - because it's not. There's just more way more space & room to move around here making it a pleasant relaxing experience. Come see for yourselves. Yelpies to achieve utter satisfaction order these dishes - Seafood Udon, Ebo Gyoza, Snowy Village & Calamari Crush. Your belly will be very grateful! I highly recommend you have a peek at the online menu before heading over here as there's so many options on offer. SM does not do dessert other than ice-cream. So I suggest walking (3mins) over to Milkcow (softserve ice-cream) for dessert. See my pix!

Beautiful restaurant near the Oval area in Richmond with bright, open windows. The food quality is consistent with what other Sushi Mura locations have. The only disadvantage is the paid parking lot. This brand new location is clean and spacious.

I've been to their OG location on Oak St. quite a few times. This location is very spacious and much more modern looking. We tried the shrimp and sweet potato tempura which was very crispy, chicken kaarage was in the form of wings and drummettes-also very crispy and well seasoned. The chopped scallop roll had a bit too much rice, dragon roll was ok and the fantastic roll was quite big. Pricing is not bad and you will definitely be full. I went around 1:30pm on a Sunday and got a table right away.

Parking is easy as it is in a small mall…read more The service was very good. Our tea was always topped up and the servers were cheerful and very helpful. We sat in a separate section of the restaurant with 3 tables at the front. We ordered chicken wings, assorted tempura, miso black cod and an order of beef teriyaki that was not on the menu. The servings are very small for the prices charged. We found that the chicken wings (only 4 small wings) $9.50 were a bit dry. The tempura batter was not as crisp or crunchy as we've had. The miso black cod was a very small portion - maybe 4 oz. for $18.00. We did not feel that there was value for the money. The food was average and the prices were too high for the quality and amount of food received. We did not enjoy the anime that was playing and we were glad that we were not sitting in the main dining room. Overall, we feel that there are better options for a Japanese meal.

Sashimi and sushi were just ok, a bit below average. Tempura was decent. Chicken skewers were too salty. Fried rice was also ok, pyramid style presentation was good. Cheese cake was half frozen. Overall, food was below average. However, IKEMEN cafe event was excellent. It was a lot of fun and service was great. I will revisit IKEMEN cafe event if they offer in the future.

I got a whole four-top to myself. I had quite the appetite so I decided to order the Bite of Everything dinner set which was very aptly named. It had chicken karaage, gyoza, miso soup, ebi sunomono, a few pieces of a Cali roll, 6 pieces of nigiri (salmon, tuna, ebi, tai, scallop, unagi), a few cubes of tuna "carpaccio" and an orange slice. Paired it with 5oz of some hot sake. Before getting into the food, I'll say I had a pleasant dinner and it's at par with restaurants at its relative price point. $42 before tip to be tipsy and full is a deal. Similar quality to Ganbei nearby which I've frequented several times. This is a quantity vs quality place. The best thing on the tray was the chicken karaage. And at a very close second was the ebi sunomono. Karaage was battered well, very juicy. Sunomono was a refreshing, tangy, and sweet accompaniment. The actual sushi is where it fell off. Each piece was amateurishly put together; some nigiri had hard rice, fish tasted flat, rice wasn't seasoned. It passes for a mid-range sushi restaurant, but it won't blow you away. Respectable 3/5

The restaurant is small and the waiting area even smaller -- with 5 ahead of us we ended up waiting about an hour!! We got the dinner sets of soba/sushi, chirashi, and unagi. Everything tasted solid but seems small for the price. My little (who doesn't eat much) finished the whole meal set and said she was only 50% full and proceeded to eat snacks in the car after dinner.
